Working mostly lol. I may stay up till the estimated end of the maintenance and see about logging in a brief moment before sleep. Otherwise just look forward to playing tomorrow night after work and forging some fresh blades for my Rogue training.

If RP community neighborhoods end up happening Id certainly love to be in one, but theres no telling when/if I'll be able to get to where I want to get a piece of property in one before it fills up lol. I have this silly goal of waiting till 2.4 hits and leveling up a class ive been waiting on and having it be my first lvl 50(sad as ive been playing since ARR started up lol)

Sadly, I'm a long ways off from being rdy to get a home as i only just reactivated my account after having to let it lapse, due to everything Ive got going on now it'll take me even longer then normal to catch back up so theres no telling. I liked the Mist location myself tho, but will probably tour the other locations later on when ive got time to see.

I mean, granted, between work and other things im doing i wont be playing heavily, but I still wanted my account back up and active AND have access to the 2 additional retainers I had lol if I cant get my retainers up because of their Crysta limit mechanic and it refusing to let me register my card to handle the retainer payment then I'm going to be just a bit unhappy, sigh. now the support ticket wait begins

Was trying to re set up account for a 180 subscription via crysta like i did the last time, got that taken care of, but having not realized there was a "Limit" I was trying to add additional Crysta to re-enable my 2 extra retainers I had last time I was playing. well now i'm stuck 200 or so crysta shy of being able to get them back and the account page and options seem to be refusing to allow me to register my Credit Card to have the retainer service enabled, so now i'm stuck waiting on a support ticket /rantoff and random Greetings to everyone here8-)

Loved the info mentioned here, especially excited to use this new found motivation to help me find more time for games ive been lacking on recently and here to prep for 2.3 and more importantly Rogue/Ninja . 2 of my favorite styles outside of a good ol hand2hand and sword/greatsword wielding style. Don't have the greatsword yet so I'll gladly settle on these new additions very happily. Honestly i'm a bit bummed on a few things mentioned in the recent updates, personal housing rooms within free companies, and the eventual chocobo breeding using a stable on Free Company property. In all honesty tho its not an issue and my own fault for not belonging to a Free Company lol. But It means one step closer to our own homes, and added motivation to get to work on prepping lol. Great news all around tho

Thanks to both of u for the input. I'll take a look at some Lenova models and I'll definitely check out the MSI gaming series of laptops. I'm not entirely sure what the budget is that shes planning to work with, I know she'd like whatever she gets to be able to run FFXIV very well w/o issues and also ESO as thats the other title that she's interested in. The MSI's look solid as far as the price ranges go so that may be a good spot to start with. From your experiences have you ever had any overheating issues with them?

My gf is looking to try and get a laptop over the next few months and kind of wants to try and be able to play FFXIV and another upcoming mmo on it so we could possibly game together. Due to her currently living space a desktop pc may be difficult thus the reason she's looking to try for a laptop. My area of expertise sadly doesnt pass building up desktop pcs, I'm not familiar in the least bit in hunting down good 'gaming' equipped laptops that arent Alienware(as I'm sure theres bound to be others out there just as good and also reliable that arent near some of Alienware's prices) If possible i'd like to try and find her somethign that would handle FFXIV on higher settings, not necessarily maxed but at a nice visual setting to enjoy the games graphics w/o hindering gameplay. I'm still checking into specs on the other mmo as its not out quite yet so finalized specs arent really available. If anyone could offer some input it would be greatly appreciated

I really need to find time to go check out the actual Raven's Eye Inn website one of these days, been so busy lately, havent even had time to get to ANY of my online gaming, shame on me. The cards do matter eh? i had no clue, even back in 1.0 I just found myself enjoying the art/style and seeing different ones lol.

Glad to finally have a pearl . I imagine it'll get quite talkative as the server business settles down and balances itself out. The few of you ive talked to in game have been nice and a thanks to Dawngale for the assist against Ifrit earlier this evening. I will likely still shy away from any and all Free Companies for awhile still, but I think this one may be one I'd consider as a pick. Looking forward to having this pearl handy.:moogle:8-)

I'll check on the player search periodically while i'm playing for those names. Edit: will keep in touch. Weekdays are a bit busy for me with work until 4pm, and until the server populations settle down I have to throw down with the login/queue to get myself in heh. Once ive gotten my Chocobo and can casually ease back into my adventuring, gathering and crafting I'll be content again heh.

I suppose I can make added use of full and locked servers to do some research while i wait, lol as if my job wasnt mildly irritating me already. Now due to the time i could potentially slip in early and play for the day...if it werent for work @.@ Ah well. I'm glad the games back and i suspected launch day would be an unlucky break heh, now to dig up Grand Company Info

I do think it could use a section on the Grand Companies as well like the old Lodestone did. Still a great new site tho.

Think I'll definitely take a pearl for this one, as soon as I get in and as soon as I can find someone to acquire one from lol

Was kind of curious since i'm hoping to pick up the portion of my quests this week to get my Chocobo and select a Grand Company, Ive only managed to find some images online while searching around and I was curious if anyone out there possibly had some gallery sources or the like that shows off some of the Grand Company gear/armor/clothing. Was just mildly curious as to the appearances lol. THanks in advance if anyone is able to point me in a good direction.

Indeed, the color-scheme is nice, not to bright, but yet not to dark. I'm especially glad it snot to bright i prefer darker tones so its a great setup. Section added to keep tab of activities, server status and everything, now if only that App they are putting out on iphones that syncs with the profile data would get made for androids as well I'd be content heh. Come on server time, i have some gathering and fishing to do before i pick up the gf to get her setup on the game lol.

The new Lodestone site is quite nice, liked the old one for the most part but the ARR new lodestone is really nice to look at. Nice setup and I always liked being able to check my character info on occasion on the old one. The joys of brief server maintenance(which i'm sure most of us expected lol) means we lurk about forums and such more then we might normally.

This is mildly worrysome. I just recalled about the fact I was on a legacy server in 1.0, played there again to get myself a little bit of a start off during Phase 4 last weekend. My gf took interest in the game so i got a ps3 copy pre ordered for her so that while here she could play while i was in on my pc. But now i'm worried that she may not be able to get in on Balmung so we adventure and explore together @.@ I got stuck being scheduled at work 5hrs from 5am-10am, right when service is due to kick off, plus she doesnt yet have a PSN or Square Enix account lol. I'll be able to check in here for new during a short break we'll get at work tomorrow morning. If at all possible if someone can reply back with ne notice of what will or may be happening with Balmung once Early Access kicks off, i'd be quite grateful to u lol. I don't have anymore time to lurk and find an answer tonight as i need to get to sleep to be back up at 4am :frustrated:

Aww, i wonder how much the small home will go for It gives me something to work toward so its cool either way, the Mist housing area itself was a lovely place. I'll settle for that free Inn Room tho, it has some space inside, but i'd feel better if they let us invite a friend or 2 in with us for meetings or rp discussions. The Wench's Room has a table with TWO chairs, come on. Even a dark loner needs a companion once n awhile lol

True true, I wont have time this weekend if plans stay as they are otherwise id look u guys up for a pearl at least. But i'm bring the gf by and we will be getting her a PSN and Square enix account setup since we got her a copy of the game as well after she took interest in it when she made a character on my account over phase 3 heh. So we'll be getting her started hopefully. I'll be making sure i reserve one of my linkshell slots for a pearl for this group though.

Nada on the housing other than some insight. Yoshi-P in one of the LIVE letters stated that the small~medium size Free Company housing would cost the equivalent of 3 adventurers saving all their gold until lvl 50 or so. My feeling is that personal housing will be much less demanding as that, but without the benefits that the FC housing will offer. Sub fees are something like this: $11.99 gets you one character per server, and only a certain number of servers. $14.99 gets you 8 characters per server, and no server restriction Ah u know, i recall it being something along those lines, one of the games where 1 character is plenty but in this situation ive got no reason to not give them all my money lol. I hope they got the 90 day sub available at launch. Not only do i want to continue to support them.. i sort of want some vet rewards :moogle:
