  1. "N'velhi stop picking on the new guys." "Velhi stop picking your nose." "N'velhi stop scratching your groin in public." "N'velhi stop urinating against trees." "I have no idea what you just said. That's too much of a Limsan accent." "N'velhi stop setting off smoke bombs in peoples' houses." "Why do you only use one of your blades? You're twice as strong with two." [Anyone using a throwing knife] "N'velhi stop fucking up so much." "What was it like being a Nunh?" "Velhi stop baring your fangs at people you don't know."
  2. This. What I fear is, with the large influx of Au Ra, many will somehow find their way to the Quicksand and be all "'Sup" as though they'd always been there and no actual change had even been made in the society.
  3. N'velhi will likely stab one. Or try to, at least. Their resemblance to voidsent is uncanny.
  4. Postponed indefinitely due to lack of interest.
  5. Bump, starts in 50 Edit: Feel free to send me a /tell in-game if you're planning on participating!
  6. There'll likely be some posters around Ul'dah/Gridania/Limsa advertising it; calling the aid of combatants. The mercenaries will meet in Camp Dragonhead.
  7. Trying to gauge some interest for an event next week, 24/4 at 7PM GMT. The Kindred, a company of mercenaries will call combatants hither to aid them in a cause in Ishgard; assisting a friend of the Kindred in unveiling an artifact which may be of use to Ishgard. After the recent attack on the Steps of Faith, Ishgard can scarce spare knights in a cause which might be a hoax. How can one tell with those Midlanders of foreign lands? There'll be combat involved. Lots of it. Wounds will -not- be forced upon your characters, such is entirely up to the player. Rolls will not be used; only free form. I trust the players are able to RP out their characters' abilities appropriately. Public event, all are welcome. Just trying to estimate how many'll participate, so I can get a feel of the amount of GMs required.
  8. So, during my time RPing on Balmung, I've seen magically-inclined character gravitate more towards the in-game spells, while I imagine there are many, many more; nor have I ever seen a thaumaturge cast anything akin to curses, mainly just tossing fireballs. So, how do you do it? Is there even a limit to the amount of spells one could potentially cast? Where do you draw the line?
  9. just be a midlander and you can be from almost anywhere #MediocreMidlanderSuperiority
  10. I've personally seen a couple too many fights where the characters' players wanted their characters to win too badly, which usually resulted in a boring to watch, unrealistic scene. *Dodges* *Evades* *Backflips* *Barrel rolls* Know your character. While I'm fond of having RNG fights from time to time, they can also be somewhat unrealistic, for example when you've got a Grand Company officer pitted against a 5 year old. The 5 year old will still have a 50% of winning. Do fight RP with people you're comfortable with, with whom you can easily communicate, lose every now and then, and you'll get the best out of the experience imo.
  11. Meet N'velhi, romantic, charmeur, great company, and overall handsome catboy a crass, tribal, ex-pirate who cares more about his whiskey than your problems. He might punch you in the face.
  12. The inquisitor utilizeddragon magicks, most likely, then again - he did use an arcanist's book to channel the spell, and we know arcanists can cast myriad spells. I've raised a thread not too dissimilar to this one some time ago; it might be relevant for the OP.
  13. That's really amazing! I love the detail on the armour and the overall style
  14. I'm pretty much the opposite of my main, N'velhi. Velhi repels most people with a foul mouth. He patronizes pretty much every stranger he crosses paths with, precipitates fights and is outright gross (flicks booger, openly scratches at his groin, belches, farts as loud as can be) in public. He doesn't take care of himself nor anyone else. I, on the other hand, usually attract people with a sanguine outlook on most things, am usually behaved in public (depending on who I'm with, don't judge) and take good care of myself, and I'm usually very helpful and forgiving. I'm also not particularly fond of how tribes function. I'm also not a pirate, contrary to popular belief.
  15. If you're pondering on roleplaying with Cinaed - do it. Dooo eeet.
  16. The mudras, while lagging, are a real female dog to work with if you're not employing macros. You go Chi-Jin-Ten for some sexy huton and you get a "ohdidyouwantabunnyhereyougo"
  17. I'm not going to say any of my characters will be any of the new classes, because essentially, there's zero lore about them, and as Heavensward will revolve around Ishgard and co., the classes will probably be somehow tied to that as well. I personally would rather not be a special snowflake.
  18. Amazing event! 10/10 would go again
  19. Went to the Waking Sands to see if Urianger had something to say regarding 2.55. Also talked to the other NPCs there. -Slafswys -Radolf -Arenvald -Urianger. Not sure if he was referring to the Ul'dah ordeal, though. If you ask him "How fares the realm," he'll respond with:
