I liked how Lyse was like "JUST GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER YOU OPPRESSED ALA MHIGANS FIGHT AGAINST THE GARLEANS REEEEE" Like. Lyse. Hunny. That's now how it works. Nor after her Othard adventure did she seemed changed in the slightest. I think it was meant to give her character growth? But they fucked that up so badly.

I'm glad Zenos was just a psycho, instead of being another motive behind it. I agree Yotsuyu motivation was awful. Sure she was treated like shit, but doesn't justify her actions. I could have understood it if she just wanted revenge on her family, but she just continued. Fordola is amazing as well though. I love how brainwashed she is by the Garleans. All in all, I sort of like the villains? They didn't get redeemed so far after all. Yotsuyu and Fordola might in the end though, but I hope they won't.

As far as I've read, I think it might be possible if your character is an older Ala Mhigan? They really seem to be going down the Fist of Rhalgr route. There might be some Ala Mhigans still around who are capable of teaching it? But unlike the Fist of Rhalgr, you don't have to be screeching around Rhalgr's praises. Personally I don't feel comfortable with having my characters being taught by special NPCs. But I only skimmed trough the quests, so I could be completely wrong. But I feel it might be okay to be done as an older Ala Mhigan, or being taught by one. Once more, unlike Fists, you don't have to be religiously crazy, nor does it seem like a lifestyle/path. BUT I COULD BE COMPLETELY WRONG. I hope someone who did the quests can give better advice than I can. Edit: Wasn't there also some mention of Sharlayans having the craft as well now? Due to X'rhun travelling there? Once again, only skimmed trough the quests ect!

There is literally a whole side quest chain about a whole town not wanting to give up a Garlean officer to the Alliance because he was a decent human being and they liked him. Well, I did not get to that chain yet. ^^;;; I think you really should finish up the MSQ before making up a judgement how SE portrays the Garleans!

I think the idea was that the time in Doma was supposed to be a learning experience for Lyse. Seeing and learning from Hien, who was in a similar situation she was. Seeing how he did things, what he did, and internalizing it so when she returned to Ala Mhigo she was in a better position to become the leader of the Resistance. I don't know, I really felt they did a bad job at it. She did fuck all, beyond sitting in a prison for the most part and being a whiny, ignorant shit. I didn't see any character progression in her story leading up to her leadership. She seems to ignorant of everything going on in Ala Mhigo. What is fine for a character who doesn't have much memory of it, but c'mon. You'd think if she was indeed with the Resistance for a while now, them, or just other Ala Mhigans would have told about how Ala Mhigo is currently. Nothing changed regarding that after the Doma arc. She was still the same naive dumb little girl. Seriously, she's really not fit to be a leader. I'd hope they give the Resistance/Ala Mhigo a fitting one and Lyse goes back being with the Scions eventually. Edit: I also hope Fordola continues to be a massive evil shit.

Oh yeah, I know! Just I don't think in 6 Inferno had that third eye? I could be wrong though. But judging from the art, he doesn't seem to have it either in FF6? In any case, fuck Lyse. That was the only hamfisted shit in the MSQ I really didn't agree with. She has no experience, she's too naive ect. That really felt grossly out of place. Rest of the MSQ? Good shit.

Going to write up a better version later, and post the silly amount of screenshots I've made. But here the bullet points from the questline so far. Widargelt refuses to fight with the Resistance, being guilt tripped still. They respect his choice and let him go. He goes back into Gyr Abania to try to restore his faith. Schism is a spot they send young Monks off to face horrible things to open their first chakra. SEE VOIDSENT AND SHIT LOL Recruits some random Ala Mhigans to be a part of the Fists. Wants to spar pugilist from Ul'dah. You go invite them. Skip to next quest, Theobald, who's really Ari, shows up, claiming to be the son of Theodoric and the Queen. That part is legit. Ari himself? We will get back to that later. He wears the Griffin's Mask. Turns out he was one of the Griffin's doubles, if I recall correctly. He has his Corpse Brigade bitches with him, thinking he's indeed son of the King. Corpse Brigade kicks ass of Widargelt and catgirls. Turns out that Fist of Rhalgr have a naturual enemy in the Corpse Brigade. The former Kings guard was trained to kill the Fist of Rhalgr in specific. Theobald/Ari tell Widargelt "HAH COUSIN I KNOW THIS IS U LOL. HI THEODRED" (Also royalty seems to be keen on their Theo part, I guess.) Widargelt goes sulking over getting his ass wooped and being outed. Erik goes "lol bar story" when you tell him. Widargelt's students to be run off, going "nope" over him being offspring of the cousin of the King of Ruin. Widargelt continues sulking. Erik comes to talk sense in him eventually. Claiming he should just get over himself, if he really wants to do something, he should fight for it until the end, even if it will be hard. Erik also briefly mentions his son. He suddenly goes "YES OF COUSE THE FIST NEED TO BE REBORN." So he comes up with plan to defeat the Corpse Brigade fucker. TURNS OUT *DRUMROLL* PUGILISM AND FIST OF RHALGR ARE TWO DIFFERENT STYLES OF MARTIAL ARTS (not like there's more on that later down the line, but level other spoilers out) The only reason the WoL kicked Corpse Brigade ass was due to having a pugilist baseline, not a Fist of Rhalgr. So you go train Widargelt and cats in pugilism. Eventually someone random invites you to come see the Professor. Turns out they kidnapped by the Corpse Brigade. You fight a Corpse Brigade fucker. He ends up just swarming you with other Corpse Brigade members and get mad they can't kill you. You free Erik. Widargelt eventually realises that this 'cousin' is his former Fist brother, called Ari. Then he writes angry latter going "come fite me bro" They meet up at Schism. Ul'dah pugilsts are there as well. Ari refuses to Fist and just wants to rebuild to Ala Mhigo under a strict King. The Corpse Brigade also have Magiteck stolen from the Garleans and use it to attack you, Ari is in specific. You kick his butt with the group of Fists/pugilists. Corpse Brigade leaves Ari to rot. Ari gets healed up by villagers. Ari runs off. Widargelt continues to just want to restore the Fists, SPREADING THE GOOD FAITH OF RHALGR. And gets his apprentices back. Edit: German Monk quest is a shitton more serious Will edit things in later
