Hell yeah, give me all the pre-established relationships. However I only reserve them for people I know already, so I know they don't fuck my characters up. For example, I got someone RPing another Fist of Rhalgr from Ave's temple. I could never ever have that be a thing if we didn't talk about that on beforehand. It's been a blast so far and super rewarding RP.

[Aisha Heartfield] White Mage I Hyur Midlander [New Player]
Virella replied to AishaHeartfield's topic in Character Workshop
Hey there! I will quickly address the biggest lore derp you've got going on! Seeming you're new to the game's lore; I'd suggest searching the term White Mage here on the RPC. A TL;DR version of it though: There's only White Mage outside the Padjal, the Warrior of Light. Unless you are playing THE Warrior of Light, being a White Mage is impossible. The Elementals simply don't permit it. However there's always the option to go a Conjurer. Suffice to say, they are extremely powerful as well and you really don't need to be a White Mage at all to be a 'proper' healer. Also because she's an actual Sharlayan, why not go Astrologian? Seeming the class hails from there. Just an idea! Best of luck o/ -
I'm going to bet its going to be super exclusive again. Like Black Mage and White Mage. And then proceed to see all the roleplayer tears. It really wouldn't surprise me, given they spoke of combination of Black and White magic.

Hey there. I'm from Cerberus. No, you won't find dedicated serious roleplay on that server! However it is a lot better if you wish to raid on EU times. But for roleplay I can suggest transferring to Balmung, even as an European. Best of luck.

discussion Why FFXIV's rape themes fall monumentally flat
Virella replied to Seriphyn's topic in Lore Discussion
I'd suggest you make this thread on the official forums if you feel this topic needs to be addressed. You're not going to achieve much here I think. -
Do you like to go with or against the stereotypes?
Virella replied to JFrombaugh's topic in RP Discussion
:l Is that really a thing? Do people legit get that mad about not wanting to RP some gross offensive stereotype? Balmung. What. -
Do you like to go with or against the stereotypes?
Virella replied to JFrombaugh's topic in RP Discussion
I'm boring. I like stereotypes who we get in lore. Not the ones roleplayer create. I like fitting into the job/class/race/clan's story as much as I can, so I don't get issues later on with lore and have to either retire, retcon or kill off the character. Because I like playing by the 'rulebook'. But stereotypes being roleplayed on Balmung is rare, so I suppose that makes my characters special again. -

Just consuming dragon blood doesn't do anything if I recall correctly. Needs to be magical infused dragonblood or something. We know there's lorewise 10 Dragoons left. Take that as you wish. We got no idea what they are doing yet.

Personally I don't think, if you're questioning how to make it work, the character will suddenly start working for you. While advice can be given, they are so generic, and you seem to be pretty well-versed into said generic advice judging from the little snippet you posted. Some people are great at portraying shy, socially awkward, antisocial, introverted characters. Others do better with the loudmouth outgoing type of characters. While I think it's amiable to give it a shot, I'd have a good look at yourself if you seem to enjoy this type of roleplay to begin with, because it sounds you're struggling with him. That said, I know quite a few people who play quiet, reserved characers, and some, including on of my closer RP partners, roleplays a character who really, really doesn't do well socially due to the character's reason. However the players behind these character, nearly always, are social butterflies who are super creative. I'm not saying you're not one of those people in real life, because how could I possibly know? What I'm trying to say is that some characters just don't work for certain people due to whatever reason. Perhaps I'm reading a bit too much into what little you posted though, but I'd just ask yourself whether you're enjoying this character/character trait first and foremost. Because to me it sounds pretty drastic that you're considering to create another character and dual box in order to make the original character work.

Hey there, You might get a bit more luck over at Darknest in terms of finding the type of roleplay you're after. (NSFW warning for that site though. Don't go there at work!) I believe there's another Courtesan FC, the Bandee Pakshee, about and around as well. I think they got a Tumblr page as well, so you might give those folk a peek as well. That said, I got no clue about their rules as I know very little of that side of Balmung, but I've seen their (pretty) posters passing by on my dashboard. Best of luck!

Recruitment Temporary Halted! Due to getting several applications, the Mythril Blades will be halting our recruitment for an unforeseen time to take care of the application processes going on currently. We want to ensure our potential new members get introduced smoothly to the Free Company after all. If you contacted us already before this message? Worry not, we will get back to you about joining the FC! Still feel free to inquire if you wish so, but we cannot guarantee we can give you and your character an interview at this current point and time. We may open within a couple of days again, week, a month or longer. And as always, friends of Free Company members may get a free pass for an interview depending on the situation; because we hardly want to exclude your friends or significant other after all. Thank you for your understanding. What do you suggest otherwise for people to do IC if they don't want to deal with people roleplaying NPCs? I think beyond flat out ignoring them, tell them to shove it OOC, there's very few legit IC options left to handle the situation beyond writing them off as insane. There's little to win here if people are not consenting to their roleplay. In your opinion you're rude if you try to handle it IC by writing them off as insane/drunk. If you ignore them, you're rude according to some. If you play along with them while you don't want to, the player who's approached doesn't think it's enjoyable roleplay and just wishes it didn't happen. If you retcon, you're being mean in some people's eyes as well. So what do you propose then? Because I really can't see any winners here if you don't want to roleplay with NPCs and they still insist onto RPing with/around you. I think if people told them (politely) OOC that they are not interested, and they stay around despite that, you are in your full right to just ignore or write the character off as insane at that point. Consent is the main key here. If I'm not interested in RPing with x person because of x reason (including them RPing a NPC), that's my full right to do such, and those of others as well.
-
I keep seeing people post this in every thread this is brought up. I find this reaction to be mean spirited and contemptuous. And it doesn't seem to be in the spirit of role play. It's weird where people draw the line between "okay, I'll pretend your character is/has this, but if you say they are/have this I'm going to be derisive and try to make you feel bad. Welllll not to play devil's advocate here, but I assume people don't come in here just for praise and people, like myself for example, will avoid them at any cost, and we are forced to use that IC to still let it make sense. Because I really don't want my characters to know (certain) NPCs, because it really shatters my immersion. There's quite a bit of NPC roleplayers who shove their RP down your throat and start screaming if you don't accept it. Everyone's allowed to go 'no' on whatever type RP. Whether it is just casual tavern RP, super serious events, ERP, or RPing with NPCs; if people don't want to, they should be allowed to step out as well. And really, I think that excuse of "its a drunkard/weirdo trying to re-enact x character' isn't really that bad. I don't even bother with it, unless they engaged me directly. I just u-turn, or ask them to leave.
-
After we gave people plenty of time to settle into the Free Company, we decided to open our recruitment once more. Do you like having event(s) in the weekend on EU reasonable times? Do you still want your own freedom regarding roleplay? Do you like socialising on Discord? Do you enjoy doing the occasional PvE content together? We might just be the Free Company for you! Don't hesitate to contact Avelyn Firestone, Odile Delacroix or Erioch Koren in game!

discussion When to SPEAK, when to THINK, and when to DESCRIBE
Virella replied to Kallera's topic in RP Discussion
I find that internal thoughts are best left for forum roleplay, and not so much for in game roleplay! Ultimately, no one can read your character's mind. It's nice flavour I find for well forum roleplay, but not so much in game roleplay; because it tends to be a lot more faster paced and less detailed ect. You can always just skip the internal thoughts, and instead if they are for example nervous, make them smile nervously, fidget ect. So the person you're RPing with CAN pick up on that, because their character can SEE yours doing that. That's not to say every character will act onto it, by choice or not, but you give them tools for their characters to interact with yours. Because well, they can't read your character's mind (or I assume they can't because most don't). But really, there's no right or wrong at the end of the day! Best of luck o/ -
I can't get over daddy because I have to think about bara roes instantly ;_;

Don't fix what ain't broken! Grindstone rules is something we used back on WoW (well, we did drop the initiative and it tended to be a gentleman's agreement, but the system was basically the same). I think it's a very good system and most people are familiar with it, so why change it up at this point. I'm all for innovation, but I genuinely think the Grindstone ruleset just works very well for Balmung. With the Resistance I never had much issues. I point it out OOC and IC not to push it too far. You're there to spar/train. I didn't have people purposely trying to blow off limbs or anything so far. So mixing magic and melee never was an issue with the Resistance at this point. What I personally find very helpful is that I got a few people helping me out OOC. While I do the pairing up, they keep track of a spreadsheet for me ect. Running it completely alone would be utter chaos, even if the Resistance events don't draw as many people as for example the Grindstone! And healers, oh god, find them. They are so rare to find, and you will need them in case things do happen IC. If anything, poke Warren for advice. He helped me out a little while ago as well with stuff.

Ala Mhigan Roleplay FAQ Do I have to be a Highlander Hyur to roleplay an Ala Mhigan? No. With the exception of Au Ra, all the other races have been confirmed to reside in Ala Mhigo. While the nobility and royalty seem only to have been Highlander Hyur, non-Highlanders could hold positions of high standing within Ala Mhigan society. At the moment, we have no evidence that non-Highlanders were discriminated against. For all their flaws, Ala Mhigans seemed to have little issue with certain races compared to some of the other city-states. Does my character have to live in Little Ala Mhigo? No. There are also Ala Mhigan settlements in the Shroud. That said, make no mistake - Ala Mhigans live all over Eorzea (and most likely beyond). If your Ala Mhigan fled or was born in Limsa, for example? That’s completely fine, too. Little Ala Mhigo is simply where a lot of the stubborn and bitter Ala Mhigans gathered up after being mistreated and ignored by the Eorzean Alliance on the whole. A lot of them just didn’t have the means or opportunity to make their way further than Thanalan. So Little Ala Mhigo is full of ignorant, resentful peasants. Does that mean that all Ala Mhigans are like that? No. At the time of the Garlean invasion, Ala Mhigo was widely regarded as the most technologically advanced city-state in all Aldenard. This served as an added incentive for the Empire to annex their territory and conscript their populace. Besides their conventional military forces - griffin cavalry, pikemen, and before the purge of their order, the Fists of Rhalgr - Ala Mhigo also boasted scholars and skilled engineers. We strongly recommend looking up Erik, the Ala Mhigan Midlander scholar NPC from the Monk quests; while he pontificates on many subjects, his dialogue during that quest chain is a great resource for Ala Mhigan lore. And yes, we can read. Really. Does my character have to be a part of the Resistance if I roleplay an Ala Mhigan? No. There are plenty of Ala Mhigans who are not involved with the Resistance. They might disagree with the Resistance’s methods, see no point in reclaiming their homeland, have too many ties in Eorzea, or any number of other possible reasons. You don’t have to support the Resistance at all as an Ala Mhigan. You can move on and go your own way if that’s what your character would do. At worst, your character might get accused of cowardice or disloyalty by Resistance members, but your character is not obligated to agree with or support them. Why don’t the city-states like Ala Mhigans? No one in Eorzea seems to like refugees to begin with. The Domans were denied residence pretty much everywhere and ended up settling in Mor Dhona for lack of anywhere else. For Ala Mhigans specifically, a significant amount of the animosity they attract can be attributed to the Autumn War. According to the prevailing Ala Mhigan perspective, their military incursion into the Shroud wasn’t blatant conquest for its own sake, but an attempt to acquire more fertile land in order to feed their growing population. Eorzean (and particularly Gridanian) opinions may differ, however. As far as many in the Alliance are concerned, Ala Mhigans are warmongering thugs who got their just comeuppance, but have the gall to come begging to the people they tried to conquer when they have no right to present themselves as victims. Is my character required to worship Rhalgr? Not at all. Rhalgr is the patron deity of Ala Mhigo, to the point where the Fists of Rhalgr wielded significant political power as a religious institution besides what clout they had as warriors. Other deities of the Twelve were also worshiped in Ala Mhigo, however, and at the moment we have no evidence to indicate that the Fists ever outlawed worship of gods other than Rhalgr (Theodoric was another story entirely). Given the King of Ruin’s fixation on Nymeia, the Spinner is the one deity your character may want to be careful about openly praising in front of Ala Mhigans. If my character worships Rhalgr, do they have to be a Fist of Rhalgr? What if my character is a martial artist from Ala Mhigo? Am I still obligated to roleplay them as a Fist? No. The Fists are a religious order. All Ala Mhigans know how to fight; it is an integral part of their culture. Nothing states that a martial artist hailing from Ala Mhigo needs to be a Fist of Rhalgr. There are likely plenty of ordinary Pugilists in Gyr Abania - punching jerks is universal. Your character does not have to be a Fist of Rhalgr to praise Rhalgr. The Fists were his warrior-priests, not his sole devotees. So what’s the deal with these Fists, then? I only see people talk about their chakras and constantly wanting to fight. What’s up with that? The Fists devote themselves to worshiping Rhalgr. They do not adhere to a specific fighting style so much as follow a way of life. As previously stated, they are a religious order. Warmongers go to Rhalgr’s Hell, so it is likely that pointless violence (which, admittedly, is a very flexible concept, especially for Fists) is strictly forbidden in their religion. Combat and continual honing of their martial skills was a method of worship for the Fists, but members of their order also often served in additional positions, such as advisors in the royal court. Unfortunately, we lack more concrete lore regarding their exact involvement with Ala Mhigan society beyond generally having religious and political influence, so at the moment we can only speculate. That being said, it is safe to assume that the Fists of Rhalgr have more complexity as an order than simply being hotheaded brawlers. Okay, so what are chakras, then? Can I have them as a non-Fist? Chakras are only relevant to the Fists of Rhalgr and those in possession of a Monk’s soulstone. While Fists claim that every living being possesses these Light- and Shadow-aspected gateways for aether, beyond the Warrior of Wildly Unlikely Exceptions Light, thus far there have not been any non-Monk NPCs who are able to access their chakras. Unlocking a chakra takes years of training, and the methods required to do so are not public knowledge. After all, the Fists are believed to be extinct - your average hyur on the street wouldn’t have that level of insight. I see people roleplay non-Fist Monks with open chakras, though… That’s fanon! The only time the word monk comes up to describe a non-Fist is a lonely Ishgardian priest in the MSQ, and he almost certainly doesn’t have open chakras unless there’s something even wackier than usual going on with the Halonic Orthodox Church (while they do have personnel who wield fist weapons/patas, they are not explicitly stated to be Fist-style Monks proper). As it stands, monk in a non-Ala Mhigan context simply pertains to garden-variety friars. Are there any other classes or jobs for an Ala Mhigan-themed character if I don’t want to roleplay a Fist of Rhalgr? Absolutely! Go have a gander around Little Ala Mhigo, the Corpse Brigade, and Ala Mhigan NPCs in general. Ala Mhigo was known for having excellent Pikemen, who were just as feared as the Fists of Rhalgr for their prowess in battle, and Griffin Riders were knights who served as aerial heavy cavalry. We have Ala Mhigan Shamans, who appear to be conjurers. We have Flamedancers, who seem to be thaumaturges. We have Knuckledancers, who are pugilists. We have Ala Mhigan Bladedancers, who appear to be marauders (Apparently the -dancer suffix is popular in Ala Mhigo. Who knew?). We have scholarly (but not capital-S Nymian Scholar) types. We have civilians. We even have engineers who are adept at using and designing all sorts of technology. (No, seriously. You have a lot of options, and that’s just scratching the surface.) Don’t ever feel pressured to be a Fist of Rhalgr. In fact, being a Fist is probably quite rare, due to the fact that in 1552, the Fists’ main temple was the subject of a bloody purge, the Monks within slaughtered en masse by order of the King of Ruin. I heard that the Resistance on the whole is a closely guarded secret. Is this true? No. The existence of the Resistance is common knowledge. The only real secret is the identity of the Griffin and his doubles, and even the impact of that MSQ-induced revelation is uncertain while we’re still waiting in pre-3.55 limbo. Thanks, Square Enix. Last but not least, a big thank you to Arcian for helping me write out this post!

I'd actually disagree with that! I think Ishgardians, due to it being an Ishgardian class, are more prone to have first hand experience of said corruption of the Church the Dark Knights fight? fought? against, compared of being an outsider. Because we can dance around the subject, at their core, they were based around Ishgardian society being a mess, and not Limsan, Doman, Ala Mhigan or anything else.

same as above SHOULD BE FINE NOW I THINK

Question "Does it matter what chakra the other monks have when you fight them? If a chakra 13 monk fights a chakra 5 monk of the opposite sect, does it still open? I AM SO CURIOUS" Monk Question 2! "I figure I can answer this by just finally getting my monk to 60 (and I want to before Stormblood anyway) but what are the differences between how light sect opens chakra and shadow does wol kinda magically open all through feel good story powers of being>" Monk Chakra Question "Are monk chakras in FFXIV more like you gaining a power level or does each chakra have a specific type like in Buddism/Hinduism? The lore book has surprisingly little about them." Suspected Chakra Locations

Fist of Rhalgr Loredump Bare with me while I try to order this chaos. Most of my posts been writing on other online media, so my formatting will be hell for a while. There's still a lot missing regarding more in depth lore regarding Monk outfits, history, heresy, oaths, soulstones ect. Admittely, I'm posting this partly to keep my own lore hoarding gathered in one spot, but I figured others would enjoy it as well. I will be updating this at my own pace. What might be very fast, or very slow. But I can highly recommend reading up @Sounsyy's posts on the Fist of Rhalgr in the meantime! They are excellent lore source for history on the Fists ect. Sources, screenshots will be included! Link One Link Two Fist of Rhalgr (NPC) Skills A Summary https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/I-kRXqKdPFwJtC5s098M15IQRmBCfts-bSasC_dLlZINbREclpLIv5DThYJOiBi1-0itkYGCHI7Ct1zCvHArAykWmnlc5Cj-wgK18O4dEpFuYaIAQFfSTY0QLXC2JpcN26R-g7DH[/img] Due to the upcoming hype regarding Stormblood and Monk roleplay, angry grandma Avelyn Firestone is here to shed some more light onto the skills the Fist of Rhalgr skills! This goes from what we have on our skillbars, to what we exclusively see in the job questline. This compendium is nowhere complete, but I do keep it as lore friendly as possible. With every skill, screenshots, links and photos from the lorebook are provided, either as links or directly placed within the document. I could very much be wrong on certain things, as some skills are still guessing work! Also, sadly enough I had to find a Youtube clip to see the 50-60 abilities, so the screenshots are of a questionable quality. But anyhow! We will start with the skills outside the skillbar and shown in the questlines. Enjoy! Gutripper - Shadow Punch Blast Wave - Shadow Pulse v1 Spirit Pulse - Pulse Wave Ultimate Focus - Shadow Pulse v2 Rehabilitation - Unnamed Ability 1 - Unnamed Ability 2 - Unnamed Ability 3 Gutripper Skill Link on XIVDB Widargelt uses this at the start of the level 50 quest often. It is an AoE square directly in front of him, with very little range. The animation itself is him snapping forward with one hand, a green aura appearing around his hand. It is safe to say, judging from the name and the animation made, it is likely they are, with the use of focused aether, trying to rip someone’s guts open Blastwave Skill Link on XIVDB Another skill Widargelt uses at the start of the battle quite frequently. While it has a different name, the animation, and the line itself very much mimic that of the ability Howling Fist. They are probably one and the same, named differently. I could however be completely wrong! Spirit Pulse Skill Link on XIVDB A very interesting one in my opinion! Widargelt here creates a purple sphere after standing skill and channeling it with his arms wide open whilst even more Aether flows around him. We have seen the Chimera mobs use this. However interestingly, these orbs do follow you at a rather rapid pace and last longer. But this could be my personal observation and completely and utterly wrong. At touching said orb, it explodes for massive AoE damage. But unlike the Chimera orb, it does not cause the paralyze status. Next to that, it is shown onto your mob list in game, so it is counted as a separate enemy by game mechanics. Ultimate Focus Skill Link on XIVDB Ultimate focus is a short casting spell. Widargelt once more stands there with his arms wide open, Aether swirling around him once more. He continues to heal himself over and over, this spell can be casted on repeat HOWEVER Oddly enough the XIVDB site claims it has a 50 second recast timer, while I’m certain that he casted it a few times in a row. I’m not certain if he has a passive ability what allows him to do this. What brings me to the fact Monk’s self healing, when reached a certain level of skill, becomes insane. Rehabilitation Skill Link on XIVDB This one is a very interesting one. As soon your Seventh Chakra start to open you start to selfheal automatically over time. The very interesting part, if you go looking up the skill in XIVDB, the name of the skill is shared by skills used by the Warrior of Light as well during a few Main Quest Scenarios; I’m not certain whether it is used as Hydealyn’s Blessings, or one of your companions just casting a perma regen on you. Basically it’s very interesting to me, and something I really need to find more information on a later time; I will revise this version once I’ve found more information! Shadow Punch Skill Link on XIVDB Another version of Blast Wave/Howling Wind! Employed by H’raha Tia, it appears to be the exact same. The attack seems to be exactly the same. Sadly enough I had to use screenshots from a youtube clip, as I currently don’t have the luxury to redo the quest on my alt. This might just be the Shadow Sect’s naming of Blast Wave, or perhaps an improved version, I cannot tell! Shadow Pulse v1 Skill Link on XIVDB It appears to be another version of Pulse Wave. It does the exact same thing. A shadowy purple bolt appears from him after standing still, spread wide open with his arms. It also chases you, and does massive AOE damage around you. Once more, these show in your enemy threatlist as well. However… Pulse Wave Skill Link on XIVDB … Unlike what we’ve seen in our fight with Widargelt at 50, these orbs do not only explode and cause AoE damage. No, these stay on the ground for a small amount of time, and start blasting a big AoE circle around them to damage the player. It appears to be a stronger and more advanced basically now capable of doing its own attacks. What brings up to our next point! Shadow Pulse v2 Skill Link on XIVDB Eventually H’raha Tia tells you he is about to get serious. So he summons four orbs around him. These look a bit different from the normal Pulse orbs we’ve seen so far. These also don’t chase you whatsoever. No, these orbs just stand there static. After a while tho, they start to charge their attack. By the name of Bubo Burst. This however, provided it does manage to be casted does an AoE attack with a range I’ve never seen so far in this game. This extends beyond the Mage LB3 circle. Suffice to say, if all orbs are left to be ignore, these would have the capability to wipe out a whole group of people. Unnamed Ability 1 Special Ability - XIVDB Quest Dialogue Link H’raha Tia is capable of stealing the life force of the other three named Monks involved in the questline. He appears to do this with relative ease, and the three of them are not capable of resisting it either. Interesting enough, he only seems to tap the Aether of what I’m going so assume their Chakras, and not their personal Aether, as that would indeed kill them. The group is still capable of fighting, but I honestly doubt they can do their Aether infused abilities to the extend they can with their Chakras. He however only says it makes unleashing his Ultimate Technique easier. Heavily implying he was already capable of doing it without stealing the Aether of the three in question. Despite this attack being absorbed the the WoL and unlocking their Final Chakra, he still claims he is stronger due to holding these energies. Unnamed Ability 2 Special Ability - XIVDB Quest Dialogue Link After H’raha Tia steals the three’s energy, he claims he can now easily use his Ultimate Technique. However he says it in such a way that he probably could have done this without their energy, but simply making it easier. Reaching his eblow back, a massive orb of bright energies appear around his hand, and for a better lack of terms, hurls a hadouken at the group. But I still like to point out despite this, H’raha isn’t your average Fist of Rhalgr. He was the Shadow Sect leader. So keep the destructive hadoukens probably for advanced, older Fist of Rhalgr! Not to mention, he is basically casting a spell without a weapon. What is EXTRAORDINARY in Eorzea. The orb itself seems to be a massive, destructive gathering of Aether. On impact with the Warrior of Light, it causes the ground around it to fly up. Unnamed Ability 3 Special Ability - XIVDB Quest Dialogue Link When the ‘Ultimate Technique’ gets hurled towards the party of three, the Warrior of Light steps in. Extending her hand, she absorbs the Aether by the looks of it. She might be simply dispelling it, but judging from the fact her Final Chakra opens right after, I’m going to speculate that absored Aether forced her Final Chakra open. And once more, she is doing this with her bare hands. A very rare thing in Eorzea all things considered. Probably having your baby Monk doing this is probably not something what could happen as we haven’t seen anything like this before.

discussion Current State of the MMO Market
Virella replied to Parth Makeo's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
I wish GW2 was GW2 and not "we used the GW skin" and then forgot everything what made GW1 amazing. They backpeddled so hard on their loyal old fanbase. So many of us were and still are massively disappointed in Arenanet/NCsoft as a whole. Never will I touch a MMO made by them again. They shut off City of Heroes, refuse to sell the licence to the game to people who want to continue their game. They fucked over GW1 and made false empty promises to their loyal fanbase regarding GW2. I'm done with them. - Salty r12 HA PvPer who wanted her PvP back But yes, a lot of MMO devs come up with a lot of promises and what not they cannot hold up onto. MMO devs like WoW are arrogant beyond words (the famous 'you do not want that' remark). They try to fix something what ain't broken. I don't give a fuck for innovation. Like GW2, it ended up in a clusterfuck of beyond words compared to GW1. There's an issue with the MMO market becoming more and more casual in that sense, and leaving us older generation MMO players somewhat bitter and annoyed because we are not catered towards any more in specific. What isn't exactly a bad thing mind you. The more casual it gets, the more open it gets, the more development a game gets ect. But things such as a sense of a community do die out. I miss that, but I also realise I don't want to shout around for hours any more to find a dungeon group. Anyhow. Player base doesn't know what they want. Devs don't know what they want. It's just chaos.
