Balmung is thee RP server to be on, followed by Gilgamesh, filled by Siren/Jenova. The last 2 only have a small RP population but I hear it's slowly going. As far as learning about the lore, I usually just look it up on the wiki and it's pretty much answered any questions I've had. For what it doesn't answer the users here are pretty knowledgeable about the game. All that being said, Welcome to the RPC!

I've retconned 3 times already. They wasn't involved in any deep RP and was pretty much just known by walkups only. Because of that, no harm no foul.

Was just looking at maybe doing an IC tumbler today, so seeing this today was good timing.

I view Mohawks and Afros is just troll haircuts.

You and I both. But lately my focus has been more on RP then pve content. I'm sure one day I'll experince it, but hey what's the rush, it's not going anywhere.

Just throwing out a heads up, but you can actually get on Gilgamesh pretty easy in the early mornings. Only Balmung has more roleplayers since it should still be a goo server for RP. Better then Siren/Jenova

I view healing more as a "I've helped them to recover quicker" kind of thing, but all the limitations of healing would still be there. If I were to ever have a broken bone while IC,and even if it was healed, I would still RP the recovery for at least the next few days. I couldn't see myself going for a month rping around a broken arm. Which is where I think magic comes in.

I'm not really sure I have an answer to this. Much as in real life, I would assume our characters could be pros at multiple things. Now sure we don't go around punching out dragons with our fists, but we still have the capability to learn well, pretty much anything we want, as long as we put in the effort. I do not have a problem with people who are weapon masters with the spear, sword and bow. Those are skills required for war and conflict which seem to be rather abundant in FFXIV. My rule of thumb would just be that I could make him as skilled as I wanted, as long as it didn't turn me into the God of Eorzea, and expect me to beat anyone my character would be in conflict with.
