  1. I can't afford the small housing, let alone a manor. Will you still RP with me? Yes because Irl I can't afford a house, so you're actually a little to realistic for me, it's a fantasy game bro, get with it and stop being so sensible:) And yes, I see what you did, fixing now;)
  2. You must be new here;) OT: Once again, this isn't about molding on who plays what and how, I more view it as a statement of WHY I WONT RP WITH YOU if your weird backstory cannot be explained in a proper, correct manner.
  3. Even if I don't agree with who or how your character is roleplayed, I simply ask that you back it up somehow. So if you are indeed roleplaying an odd character, be prepared for me to bombard you with why that is, on an IC level. And much like real life, it better make sense or buh-bye. That's not to say that you have to change how you Rp to fit with what I want. Infact you are free to go about with your Rp and I will not bother you, but I will have no desire to rp with you. OOC I do not care with what/who you are. IC I do.
  4. QFT Anyways, completely forget about Gilgamesh, it RP is pretty much the sole reason for being in the game, just head straight to Balmung or I doubt you'll last 2 months.
  5. There must be a ton of Dragoons in this topic, I guarantee it.....
  6. I don't think RP has to be 'fair'. It's not a competition. I don't get the it doesn't have to.be fair? If that wasn't the case then we'd have this...../em draws his sword and thrust it into Natalie Mcbeef's neck, pinning her to the wall, watching her blood gush down and form a pool on the floor, with an evil laugh he walks out of the Quicksand." Now I know this is called godmodding, because it is unfair.
  7. I believe the exit-only policy referred to like, families and the like. Military and officials would be allowed to come home. I hope so, anyway. "Hey, Johnson! Dragons out there! Also, don't come back thanks bye!" But is not Ishgard being invaded and almost annihilated at this point? So there wouldn't really be any need to have Dragoons lounging at the Quicksand. Correct me if I'm wrong, just speculating at this point. A counter point is that Dragoon orders are a Known and utilized thing in all the major city-states, just not to the degree or severity they are in Ishguard, which would be the cradle of the fighting style. Trained to fight dragons in the style, but not ishgard aligned or indoctrinated, though still bound to service of their Grand Companies and millitary. I learned something new today!
  8. Ah I see, I thought that was pretty much confirmed and that's why theirbgates was being opened, out of desperation.

  10. Still even if it was a x months on, x months off, it still wouldn't explain all these elite dragoons being outside Ishgard. Which to my understanding, once you are out, you can't get back in. I could be wrong on that.
  11. Just echoing a few replies here, but if we're talking their survivability when it comes to feeding or caring for itself, I think it's pretty open to actual trade agreements. It's just not up for opening their gates and receiving help from outside sources. In their minds I think it's kind of like a prideful "This is our fight, this is our problem, we will handle it ourselves" approach.
  12. Before I rerolled him, Manasas "Rowdy" Reed would of fit right in the place of Edward Kenway.
  13. Can't say that I have, I just usually spend an hour in character creation menus and just come up with something that I like.
  14. Killing Them with Kindness Limit Break level 1,000
  15. Im not in the event but just wanted to throw my 2 cents in. I would probably make it a forum event. It's easier than trying to fit everyones schedules in together, and also it would seem to be more immersive considering the fact that unless you fantasia, you wont really be in someone elses body/mind. Just something to think about. Good luck with your event!
  16. I just want to address this real quick before bringing it back on topic. Just because someone openly disagrees with another, and then that person counters, is nothing more than a debate. We need to stop falling for this "Oh someone disagrees with me, they hate me" attitude that seems to be pretty rampant in this community. And I think this was the first time someone accused me of being in some sort of clique here on the forums. Trust me when I say I am nowhere near that popular on here, nor in real life either:) That being said, it's not so much age that is the problem. It's the believability of it. I personally do not believe a 19yr old miqote runs the biggest crime ring in Ul'dah, sits in the Quicksand talking about how mean/lean they are. Meanwhile the whole place is teeming with bounty hunters and city guards. I'm sorry but to me that's just not immersive. It's believable that a Dragoon is very proficient in their abilities, but to be considered among the elite, without really having any actual experience fighting dragons like the ones in the trailer, once again, just does not seem immersive. And I will admit, if someone has a nice backstory on why their young character is a badass, and it makes sense, I can buy into that and accepting it. But if it's all "Me 16yr old dragon vanquishing master level general dragoon because I say so".......then goodbye and have a nice day.
  17. And.....there it is., ladies and gentlemen! I was waiting on this from you, you did not disappoint good sir! Anyways, others have described fighting styles, techniques and such you, but in my opinion you can know how to fight and your fighting style and still have a horribly boring fight. If you want your fights to be exciting, take a hit, have some damage done. Take that punch to the face, fall to one knee and slowly rise again, spit blood out of your mouth and wipe your mouth with your hand, accidentally smearing blood across your cheek. Stuff like that makes it interesting.
  18. Let me know when you are ready for another project!
  19. Agree to disagree. I could write a compelling piece on how my 2yr old defeated Eorzea's best at the Grindstone, but that still doesn't make it plausible, even if it was executed properly. Exaggerated for effect. You undermined your philosophy when you exaggerated--such a thing would be inconceivable to execute compellingly and is therefore a bad example. Exaggerated yes, but the point pretty much stays the same. Just because something can be done, doesn't mean it should be done)
  20. Well, you are already limited by the game itself simply because the character creation (and thus, your in-game representation of any given character) is also limited, so I would question a premise like that right off the bat simply for lack of tools with which to do so. But yes, obviously there is a sliding scale for this sort of thing. The more outrageous you go, the harder it is to get anyone to buy in to the premise. In this case, however, your hyperbole does you little credit as obviously no one would ever even attempt that in the first place. I see your point but it will never happen, and anyone in their late teens (the much more common scenario) is, quite frankly, enough of an adult that I can see it happening even if it is rather unlikely. At any rate, you might change your mind if you actually read such an amazing story with a series of events crafted in such a way that you cannot help but accept that the way things turned out are the way they should have been - could have been, even. The fact that you reject the idea simply means that this has yet to happen. A shame, but I'll not lose any sleep over it (more because I'm not the one who needs to please you more than anything). I don't think there is a need to please anyone for anything. I am certainly not put to please anyone in particular. I guess we can just write it off as different rp personalities.

  22. I like this one the best. The eyes are awesome, I suck horribly at drawing the eyes. Well, I suck pretty much at drawing in general, but especially the eyes.
