I'm actually with you on this, but it's something I try to ignore. If we are to make a big deal out of this, then we should feel the same about the little 19yr female miqo crime boss that sips tea in the Quicksand all night talking about how deadly she is. (you know who you are) We'd also have to disagree with all the 20yr old combat jack-of-all-trades masters in axes, swords, archery, lances, daggers. At 20, you're the master of hardly anything. By the time we'd get done, there'd no one for us to RP with.

I may have this all wrong, but curious so just going to throw this question out there. You played a glamored Au Ra but somehow managed to use a tail and claws, and not get instantly mobbed by everyone around you? How do you explain that from an IC perspective? Not that I care, just seems a little odd to me.

The continent of Aldenard is part of the Global Region known as Eorzea. It is the smallest continent in Hydaelyn, and is surrounded by several islands. A land bridge connects Aldenard to the land mass containing the other two continents. Ilsabard is a continent to the northeast of Aldenard. It is currently dominated by the Garlean Empire and home to their capital city of Garlemald. Othard is the eastern-most of Hydaelyn's Three Great Continents. It is presently part of the Garlean Empire, which is seated on the middle content of Ilsabard. The island of Vylbrand is part of the region of Eorzea. It lies off the western coast of Aldenard and is home to the city-state of Limsa Lominsa, which is located on the island's southwestern coast. Vylbrand is bordered by the Rhotano Sea to the south, the Indigo Deep to the northwest, and the Strait of Merlthor to the east. Several smaller islands are connected to the main island by brilliant ivory bridges. Regions located on the island include La Noscea on the southern side and O'Ghomoro in the north. The island is divided in half by a large volcano at its center. So in short, what's out there? Garleans. You can see why this is rough for RP. I originally thought about rping a Garlean, but the naming conventions seemed to be speculation and beside that, seemed to make no sense to me. Looks like I may just have to figure something else out.

Yeah I'm fairly new to the RP scene so I think I made a ton of mistakes with him. One of them being limiting him to such a tight strict line that it never made sense to deviate from him. Being new to RP, I don't come into this game with my buddies etc. to kinda show me the ropes. I had planned to find a FC which to join and kind of help me along. I wanted to play a criminal type character but with the lack of criminal type players/free companies compared to good aligned ones, coupled with my odd playing hours I was getting almost no interaction in-game.

Good Morning everyone! I'd like to reroll my main and have him be sort of a wanderer/adventurer who strolls into Eorzea for the first time and go from there. Is there any reasonable speculation or lore surrounding the outside of Eorzea from where he could come from? I want it to be lore appropriate so just curious before I do his backstory/wiki etc. Do we know anything of other cultures and city-states? The reason I ask is I am doing a major RP revamp and changing a few things as to not lock myself in to a certain style of RP and etc. For instance, Manasas Reed was a pirate, but pirates are seldom seen wandering around in the desert, (Ul'dah). Also, because of being a pirate, it would make sense he's not overly nice or thoughtful to those around him. End result is it was difficult on an OOC level to approach someone IC. I tired to make him have some sort of personal honor code, but it didn't seem immersive and I just cant get invested in him.

Not really. I mean there are a few people that I was trying to meet up with for some RP, but overall our times haven't lined up. I'm an 11pm-3am est timezone player, and everyone else seems to be logging off at the point. That and I made Manasas Reed bottlenecked into something I didn't like, so I ditched it and am working on something else.

Why do I always have to rope my characters into storylines/backgrounds that wouldn't fit for this kinda stuff

Being an American I'm sure I may be partial, but I also love history so hopefully people can accept that. Considering they were Allies, I don't think the war could of been won without the other. Saying that however.... Russia pretty much defended their homeland, succeed and pushed towards Germany. The U.S. actually fought on 2 separate fronts, simultaneously and in-fact beat the Russians to Berlin. Which we know upon approaching, Berlin was given to the Russian Army, despite the wished of several American/British Generals So I will not say that the U.S. won the war, implying it could have been done by the US single-handedly, but I will say they probably did the most damage combined between the 2 fronts. All my opinion.

OMFG!!!! I have never considered that. That is amazing though, I want that now!!! Yes indeed, though I am sure that is a dream we shall never see! I was trying to devise a way to turn it into an RP event, but I'm not sure how that would work out considering you can't even produce a weapon when mounted. You see now I feel stupid for not thinking it because I played a mounted knight in Ragnarok Online. It was even a bird. Feel free to use the idea if you come up with a way to incorporate it into an event!
