Well, I have the screenshot for the Balance constellation. But I'm not entirely sure how to insert it in the way that Jaques did, as I'm not very knowledgeable in the use of forums and such I'm afraid.

Moving through the cold of the night, you stumble across a series of makeshift shelters, tents made from hide, canvas and other materials. Some made out of packed dirt and mud. Each has a small campfire, a collection of individuals roaming among them and as people speak, you hear accents and local dialects from all corners of the world accompany them. A large stew pot sits in the center of the camp and as each pass, they drop something into the pot. Some offer vegetables, others offer spices and some meat. Some of it is fresh. Some of it looks like it could have been fresh a day or more ago. Stirring the stew pot stands a tall, large figure covered in a thick linen set of robes, a scaled tail swaying back and forth behind him. As you approach, a hint of a smile can be heard in his voice, a soothing rumble coming from deep in his throat. "Hello there friend. Care for somethin' to eat? Have a seat and let's hear your story. We all have one around here..." he says with a tilted head as he stirs the contents of the stew. Hydaelyn’s residents have suffered the loss of family, livelihood, and freedom through invasion, war, and forces beyond their imagining. Fleeing the destruction of home and country to Eorzea, these refugees have come together to create a new homestead, to carve out a place to call their own. And with it, they will forge something from the Remnant.

I demand pictures of Au Ra cuddling. ...MAKE IT HAPPEN, INTERNET. Uh. Hmm. Well... there's plenty of that on tumblr. And it's not exactly ...cuddling. Per se. :blush::angel: Nope. But what it is, is very sexy. Mhm. Yis.

Hm. To weigh in on mine, I have characters that tend to run the gauntlet of skin tones that I've played in the past. My current character is a tan Elezen, due to him travelling quite a bit and spending more than a small portion of his life away from Ishgard and the business up there. So he tends to stick out like a sore thumb amongst other Ishgardian RPers, which amuses me to no end. Ultimately as others have pointed out, I tend to go with what makes sense for the character and his background. My hangup in character creation is height, as I refuse to play short characters or characters that are shorter than me. I have no perspective for it. That however, is a discussion for another thread. Edit: For clarification sake, I'm a rather tall and bearded ginger.

I think it has some definite merits, and adds more to the community among the Au Ra players. It would most certainly give another form of connection and give a pre-existing condition for others to be able to roleplay amongst themselves and amongst different FCs outside of the "You survived?" "I survived!" "We survived! YAY!" type deal.

So I'm not sure if this has been brought up, or if people are taking this into consideration but from my understanding about the Au Ra, they're giving a generalized description of how they lived while they were in Othard. Which isn't there / is occupied by the Garlean Empire now. Which opens up a whole new realm of possibilities since they're not going to be in Othard. Will the character try to adapt to their new environment(s)? If so, how? Are they going to continue being nomadic / isolationist? Why? These are things that should be taken into consideration. Don't let what is there tunnel vision you into something. Characters grow, adapt and rebuild themselves consistently, just like we do.

Hello everyone. Been lurking for a while, finally registered and thought I'd say hello. Ishgard roleplayer here hoping to meet some more and try to get myself integrated into the roleplaying community. I'll be putting up a wiki entry on my character in the near future. Good to meet you all and happy hunting! And I suppose I could tell a little about myself. Whoops. Let's see. I've been involved in MMOs as a whole since EQ1, been involved in Lord of the Rings Online, WoW, Star Wars: The Old Republic and a few others, SWG was another. Roleplayed in most of them, but most often I was an RPer on TOR, and Lord of the Rings Online. My main on here is Aldaric Travenchet, and I'm a medium - heavy RPer that also enjoys his end game activity. Uhm. I'll add more as I think about it, I suppose.
