balmung Looking for a small knit group of adventurers!
Tierney Weaver replied to Tierney Weaver's topic in Chronicled Connections
OK! I'll try to catch you in game. Hi there, I'm one of the friends. I'll try to keep an eye out for you, where are you usually found? I usually roleplay around Black Brush and Central Thanalan but for the sake of roleplay it could be anywhere! Just send me a /tell in game and we'll figure something out. -

That sounds good! We can do dungeon RP if we can get two other people that are willing to do a RP run. Hit me up in game! -
Bronwyn Aethelwulf is a grumpy sea wolf in his late teens. He spent his childhood in the western part of La Noscea, as a shepherd at his uncle's farm. Unbeknownst to his uncle, his small wage was used to help fund and escalate the drug addiction of his parents. Both physically and emotionally neglected, after reaching his age, he decided it was time to branch out and see what Eorzea has to offer. Aethelwulf grew up to be a skilled lancer. He became a heartwarming, out-going and somewhat easy to approach brute, despite of his rough childhood. He sailed across the seas with a small crew of pirates. Initially rather withdrawn about the crew and its activities, Bronwyn became synonymous with being the go-to guy for advice and support, being a big brother rather than a pirate. However, as the heat in his crew intensified, Bronwyn found his life spiraling, prompted by the death of his dear friend Jackson, who he still feels responsible for. He parted ways with his crew with nothing but lint in his pocket. He has a lot of friends, a lot of enemies and a lot of gil to make. -- Hello! Sorry for the lazy introduction. I'm looking for a group of adventurers to roleplay and grow with Bronwyn. There will be a lot of plot driven roleplay. Adventure, light hearted drama, slice of life, mystery, you name it! What I'm NOT looking for is a free company. I want the group to be tight knit, preferably 3-6 people deep to be exact! The perfect case scenario would be... a couple of amateur adventurers and an elder to lead them along the way! I'd also like to mention that I'm from EU. I'm on around from 2PM to 6PM on weekdays, and about the whole day on weekends. You can leave a post here if you're interested! If you just want some roleplay, that's fine, too! Leave a post anyway. I'd be more than glad to roleplay with different people and get some experience since I'm fairly new.

balmung Portraying a realistic Thanalan community
Tierney Weaver posted a topic in Chronicled Connections
I'm aiming to form a realistic faction that thrives to portray a group of gang members within the refugee community of Central Thanalan. A group of drug addicted, dirt poor, hopeless people, lured into the gang life with a false promise of protection and quick gil. A group of un-educated people that are easily influenced. You should consider taking part in this project if your character was born a refugee or somehow ended up being one. You need to be able to roleplay around drugs, violence, financial/emotional struggle and racism. These are sensitive subjects. (there won't be anything sexual involved) Trust me, it isn't bad as you think. I've done it before and I had a lot of fun. This project will be a breath of fresh air to your roleplaying experience if you are bored of the typical slice of life, live-happy roleplay. It's OK if you're a first timer. I'll try to teach you whatever I can. Here's a couple of examples from my past RP experiences in this field. They're in a modern day setting, but they should give you a brief idea about the life of a gang banger. Thank you so much. I am currently trying to get into Balmung so we shall see eh? It keeps saying that the server isn't accepting any more characters. But I'll keep trying! An hour before a scheduled maintenance ends, get on r/ffxiv's new comissions section and spam F5 every 2-3 minutes. When the server goes online, people will open threads about it. That's the best time to create a new character

Hello and welcome! You should probably try to create a character on Balmung since RP is pretty much dead in Exodus and Hyperion. Hope you enjoy your time here

I'm down for this! Trying to create my sheet right now, will PM you in a bit.

[Balmung] Eccentric Hyur Male Seeking Friends
Tierney Weaver replied to AeolianMode's topic in Chronicled Connections
Tierney's a surgeon, a fellow healer with quite an attitude. She's usually around the marketplace in Ul'dah, shopping for books and grocery. I'd like to do some random roleplay with you, feel free to add me in game! -
"A tribe recently massacred by the Dotharl. The only members surviving are those who left the tribe to travel on their own and were not present during the killing.'' Going off the original info given by SE, about a month ago

FFXIV's community is nothing like WoW, the playerbase in general is very forgiving. If you wipe 4-5 times, don't expect them to welcome you with open arms but you shouldn't worry, just keep on improving, learn from your mistakes and you'll be fine.

I'd like to join when there's an open spot! My in game name is Tierney Weaver.

Balmung is flooding, so it probably won't work there, but I can confirm that Gilgamesh is usually open around 4am.

Best way to get a character: 1 hour before the estimated time, get on r/ffxiv and spam F5 with your eyes on the new comission list. Make sure you download the patch so you don't have to wait later on. If you're lucky, you can create whatever you want in about 5 minutes. It'll be like this for now, since people are flooding the servers to catch up and grind their stuff. Once they get rid of all the endgame gear, they'll probably start calming down, so expect it to be alot better than the way it is right now in about 3-4 weeks

Then what do you call it, Verad? Because I call it lying. And you don't lie to people who give you money. Also, might I point out the guy roleplaying a dubious salesman of all people is commenting on my stance against this behavior? I just thought that was hilarious. LMAO. You have a fucking attitude. http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/heavensward/#story__npc-02 Look at this website. This is what you paid for, and you got all of it. Stop whining and bullshitting SE, because they did a good job. This is an MMO, not Sims 3. They're not going to pack all the content in one patch and unleash it on the community.

Look at it from an IRL perspective. Some characters are socially anxious/afraid of rejection. Some characters are grumpy, they don't like to socialize. And some characters go through different things. It's normal for them to not walk up in these cases, the ''walk ups are welcome'' description is there for you to let you know that you can engage roleplay with that character anytime, just keep in mind that they might not be in the right mood You can't blame someone for not walking up to you.
