Asmodean

Well.. it's been quite a while since I've been about due to life. But finally after more then a fourth of the year away, I should be able to start to get back into roleplay once more. My normal play time would more then likely be 10pm and later EST Tuesday to Thursday with Saturday and Sunday being open most of the day but will be more then likely be covered by an event. Now for my character... Asmodean Gaidin, an axmen from Ul'dah. Wile the Jewel is his birthplace, Asmodean is a wander at heart is often found out in the field traveling with a young female unicolt (unifilly?). Asmodean is known out in the smaller hamlet taking odd jobs here and there to make ends met. He has been known to avoid groups but he has tried to be more willing to associate with groups. Asmodean can easily sever as a bodyguard if needed or should one need a message delivered (and you don't want to use moogle mail) he can be hired as needed. Just fair warning, Asmodean will have nothing to due with slavers, loan sharks or anyone associate with any Monetarist to his knowledge. I need to knock some rust from my time away so any connections would be nice. feel free to pm me in game or here. Look forward to geting back into rp form.

I know the feeling of now being able to login to do anything but more so due to life kicking me in the back of the head. My problem as been the need for money and work offering extra shifts. No longer have a money problem but now my sleep pattern is all messed up for working the better half of a year different shift nearly every day. But I ask forgiveness most of the performers of the "A Show of Farce" event. I passed out from exhaustion sometime after.... Leanne's song. At least the last one I can at least somewhat remember was Leanne. I sorry for the others I missed and anyone who tried to pm me or anything due said event. T.T

Aimless wander trying to find himself, ends up adopting a unicolt. Now just tried to fun work to the feed the little monster's unending hunger. Willing to work for food.

For Asmodean it would really end up being what mood he's in when a fight breaks out for how he would fight. If he didn't really care who e was fighting or just needed to knock the attacker aside, he would end up being very aggressive using his ax more like a hatchet and mixing in a lot chain wrapped punches much like Sol Badguy... just without the air combo and fire.... or proto-gear dragon thing. >.>;;; If Asmo couldn't end a fight quickly or respects the person he's fighting, duel or otherwise, the midlander would take his time and use the full reach of his ax, aiming to disable or knock his opponent out cold. If it means using his ax like a man catcher to lift them in to the air before slamming then in to the group then so be it. Then this is just... Pain. It will only hurt... a lot. Thankfully, Asmo has never been push to this level of anger.

Fun event as always to watch. Love for the most part these screenshot I see I'm like the wears waldo at times. Rarely seen due to angles and only one seeing Asmo's face. Also I'm sorry for you lost Nathan. I hope things get well for you and your family as soon as possible.

Been really out of the mood to play any game as of late, let alone ff14, but hearing this track just remind me of al the good time I had with WKC. By no means a triple A game or anything but god damn I would love to see a new one or even just a remaster to get to enjoy the mmo-light online play.

I have joked with a friend that doesn't rp about doing a hellsguard called Blackest Baron as a joke and parody of Anarchy Reigns' Blacker Baron. An extremely egotistical monk wearing all purple with golden fist while speaking in a odd tongue. I've only ever thought about to be more a joke then something I would really do just due to how.... easy it would be to anger a few people. On a more likely note, I have an idea for a female Seawolf I've been kicking around for the past few weeks due to working alot of extra hours but I really need to focus on Asmo. Maybe if I have more time I'll work on her more.

This I have to agree with. I'm hard enough on myself when it comes to my attempts at rp, so I really don't need others piling on. Now I have no idea what caused this topic to spring up, but a number of points seem more like overreactions. I have seen a few non-rpers try to troll rps or even have long rant in shout but that has been quite rare. I also have never seen anyone say you can only rp on Balmung, only that it the place you are most likely to find other rpers. I'm sure there are things I haven't seen but from my experience, I can only see some of these points just being over blowing.

Asmodean has been my go to name for any gamer tag/ avatar name since my oldest brother got my hook on reading the Wheel of Time books. Something to the character just hit the right nerve and I've used the name since. Gaidin alsom comes from The Wheel of Time (WoT) series, but unlike the first name, is not part of anyone's name. It more a title based on the Old Tongue from WoT and mean Battle brother or brother to battle. It also used as another word for Warder, which for a quick note sever as the protectors of the mages for the story. Reasons for this one have more to do with Asmo's mother, then Asmo himself. But effectively he took her maiden name as a way to remake himself.

Hmm.... I'll be around but having taken a break from ff14 I have no idea how the group pose works. I would guess I just put in {/gpose harvestdance} , as part of a party?

I would treat most healing as a increasing the rate of regeneration, with an extra effect to dull the pain one may be feeling. For event like the Grindstone, throw in some extra bandages to help prevent more damage and your good to go for the most part. Still some pain and slower due to blood loss or damage due to muscles slowing you down. For myself, any damage from one event will carry over a bit IC due to magic not being effective for healing Asmo, leading to potions, thread and bandages being my go to to deal with pain and wounds. I keep a notepad with the different type of damage done to my character with a list of dates, area of damage and the extent of damage so if every brought of his armor, I know I should describe how any scars aside from the major one he has might look. Like do they seem old or fresh, deep or a light graze. But after all this is just what I do, I doubt many would go as far as I would.

Best way to met people is send a tell in game or pm here. Events can be quite hectic due to chat scroll. I have often seen groups wonder off to be out of chat range if it out in the world. But the best way is to set up some kind of meeting before hand then try to meet during an event. I normal sit off to the edge of events due to IC reasons so If you ever at an event and see go ahead and poke me. Just fear the unicolt.... it might bite.
