While it is true no story is meant to go on forever, death is not the only way to end a story. If, however, the death gives others a reason for a rp event or a reason for characters to shift their mindset then the end of a character is fine. Right now Asmo is a character is I haven't had a real chance to get into a deep rp event due to IRL things but I feel given a bit of time I'll easily find a place for him fit in even he's an action over words. He'll have his moments if others try to get understands his back-story or want just get to know him on a deeper level then knowing his a friend they can fall back on. If I ever feel I have to let him fall out of a story, I can easy say he was gone from Eorzea due to a hint letting him know something about his non-Eorzean mother or simply his tired of battle and he's come to the mindset of it's time for him to steady down. Most of the time, if you lost your love of your character, take a break for a week or two before doing anything rash. While you could have some rp reason for them coming back from death, I often feel thing like this just cheapen the meaning of death in a rp setting.

Past Asmodean would have a mix of pride and fear. He'd be proud to see he's thrown off the bindings of his over protective father, proud to see he would one day would be an adventurer. However the scars, mainly the bone deep one on his face, along with the seemly uncontrollable anger at time would terrorize the boy. Things would only get worse if young Asmo saw the Calamity as his current self has and that's not even thinking about the darker half Asmo now has thanks to the blacked Warrior soulstone. If anything, seeing what he would become might very well put him on another path if not out right trying to avoid the version I RP for ff14.

I do want to note out of the pics I seen, there is only where I am visible do I know stand around with my ax on my shoulder. SE really need to add emote while have a weapon out, cause really I'm pretty sure with the way the ax was resting, I would balance it with my arm while clapping. Next time I'll just throw my phone at the wall or something.

I have to say the event was wonderful and I loved all the speakers. Sadly got called in to work early so I had to leave be fore getting any real chance to RP with anyone. I hate work based Aggro, but you just have to do what you have to do. So sorry about running like I had Jancis. Maybe this can become a yearly event as it certainly had the feel of one?

Culinary would in my mind be a better idea as it is far simpler to "show" then magic would be. Also it would make the event a thing players with magic-less characters the chance to show up... and watching Asmodean burn anything he tired to cook would be good laugh for all.

Ever feel like you just can get into the skin of you character unless you sit back and enjoy a song that seems to fit them too well? I know I'm one of those players, when to comes to my midlander. Odd part has to be I hadn't even thought about the song until yesterday thanks to listening the OST the other day and thought about how it matches both sides of him. Song in question is "I am my own master now." from the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance OST. Both Asmodean and Moridin histories scream at me as I listen and it let me slide in to that mind set even if other wise I might not be able to. Dose anyone else has an Roleplay aid to help you get into mindset of you character at all or have started thinking about it thanks to post like this?

If guards are still needed Asmo can always swing by as he owes the people of Limsa a few favors for taking care of him while down on his luck early on in his travels.

Asmodean (ahs-MOH-dee-an) Gaidin ( GAI-din) Once I start to rp more I wont be surprised most just call him Asmo for short.

Asmodean isn't a killer at heart and will go out of his way to not kill, but if the person should die ( murderer, slaver, someone out to kill him, ect) he will end a life. He, however, never treats the act as something that should be common place for him. His first kill was for a job to protect a traveling merchant. A contract had be put on the merchant, something Asmodean was not informed about, and as such he had end a few lives during the journey. It clearly had an effect on the young man for a time but now he had come to terms with it as a fact of life... at time he will have to kill or else be killed. A sad truth for Asmo but something he had come to except. Asmodean at first he wasn't deeply effected as one might seem but he has come to the thinking for those who lives have ended, he has to live to carry on their memories but this isn't just for those who he's killed.

As a tank main on Ultros I can say I see this happens a lot for new players having just hit 50. I can never stress enough how important you weapon is. I have seen player try mass pulls in things like Brayflox Hard with Ilevel 90 weapon and they think they can handle it, while both dps have 130/135. People just don't seem to think about how geared they are compared to others when doing dungeons now and I feel hurts the player base to a point.

I'm sure there are a few players like me that think a characters flaws are just as important if not more so then their strengths. They can be physical, mental or even physiological problems but no matter what the flaws, they should be a way to give a character depth. What flaws do your PC have? My own, Asmodean Gaidin, has three major flaws that will effect rp for him greatly. First would be his family's Warrior soulstone and the trapped soul of a mad man within it. Training as a warrior has made it clear the soulstone has great problem with it and has slowly started to understand why he never heard stories of his mother every having use it while she was alive. The next major flaw is Asmodean's lack of magical talent. While i have no idea how to write it off as part of him currently, I have found making magic cast on him less effect to go along with sever has a way to make it a known fact about him. Lastly for my PC, would be unhealing chest scar, which still sears with pain as if was freshly earned. A wound from the Calamity, Asmodean has taken it as sign he should have die then and he is alive only due to other refusing to let him go. Aside from the pain the scar still brings him, Asmo has become self-conscious about his body and so he rarely seen without wearing armor from head to toe. This has also made him avoid people who wanted to get to know him on a more intimate level, due to aforementioned wound.

Defeat: Is my time up...? Assist: Back off! I'm your opponent now. Taunt: You do know... I'm using my weak arm right? Reacting to Taunt: It's all fun and games... until a psycho wakes. Then people start getting broken. Flee: For once I can't die here... Maybe next time you can end it. Reacting to Flee: Come and find me when you feel ready, you show promise. Tie: Really? Odd of two people to be so evenly match, wouldn't you agree. Perfect Victory: Pointless, Why fight if you can't even hust the one you are attacking?

Asmodean has no special powers unique to himself, but his Warrior Soulstone has a long history on his mother's side for his family making unique compared to other warrior stones. Unlike other Soulstones, it has black marking through out the stone, making it clearly different to the normal ruby soulstone. The marking is a sign that the original holder of the soulstone is trapped within it and is still active. While I haven't RP with anyone enough show this part of Asmodean story, the basic idea is should he over use the stone, Asmodean will be replaced by the trapped soul in battle. The different in fighting style is clear, Asmodean would let wounded surrender or retreat as he isn't overly bloody thirsty killer. Moridin, the trapped soul, makes Conan the Barbarian look like a nice guy. There is no retreat, no surrender of the old soul. Death is the only thing he knows, he takes much enjoyment from ending lives or dragging out the pain one can suffer. Part of the story is meant to be Asmodean learning about Moridin and hopefully being able to cleanse him from the soulstone but with roleplay as it is, there is always the possibly of Asmo needing Moridin for when he can't bring himself to do what has to be done. May be common but lacking skill with magic, I needed something to make him stand out a bit.
