Like a few other have said thinking about a random scene while at work or out on a walk is something I often do. However, most of said scenes never feel right, like it's not how my character would act or how it ends feel empty. Gets me through a rough day of work at least. Other then that.... I hate myself for my wait and watch before every interacting with others. It carries over from real life in to game and can't just stop myself from doing it. I've feel like I missed a possible chance to get a new connection.

What If Your Character's Backstory Didn't Happen?
Asmodean replied to Sounsyy's topic in Character Workshop
For Asmodean only two events comes to mind that could truly change him from what he is now but one of the events would more then likely have lead to him having been hung along with his father. He was more or less placed into a coma for a number of years after the calamity which is when his father was killed so he had never been put in that coma odds are he would be dead or have a bounty on his head. The other possible event that would change the man entirely is if his mother never died from the "wasting rot" sickness she came down with early in his life. In fact Asmodean would most likely using his mother fencing sword and dagger style in place of the ax he uses currently. He probable be a more open person then quiet loner he is currently is now as well. He... just would be the Asmo I have now. -
90PRvlhOLSk This would have to be my choice for Asmodean due to his aimless wander style. Truth be told his journey may never end but the music fits with his more humble beginnings as man before becoming the traveler he is now. Only time will tell his ending is a good or sad one.

Most would say Asmodean is fearless for the way he is willing to toss himself into battle but really it only so others can fall back first. He wear heavy armor for more then just his own self-consciousness. It's to protect so better that he takes a blow a robed mage could never survive. Asmodean is a first in last out kind of person in combat and will only fall back once everyone else has. He dose have a few real fears that will stop him from doing something but in combat he learned how to turn that off of the good of the group he is often fight along side. For events I can understand this being a problem, but I have yet to see it as I have little time to rp sadly . I at least keep IC when at events so if asked I would have left regardless if it was a big bad roe or tiny lala asking me to leave.

Sleeping, taking care of Halone, or out on patrol in the western highlands. Asmodean is a simple man once you get past the whole soulstone with another soul in after all. Oh and now Asmodean is starting to train with his lance a lot more now so he could be doing that out in the wildness as well.

Asmodean wouldn't be surprised someone was out to kill him. It would be more along the thought of "Well... took them about damn time." At leas if the attack happened in Ul'dah. Seeing as his father was executed for a lie, it wouldn't be farfetched to thinking someone would want him head as well if they knew who he is/was. Next he would end up being annoyed that someone was so damn cheap to hire such a useless assassin. Any where else however, he would wonder if he was really the target or not.

Differences and similarities between you and your character
Asmodean replied to 13uddy's topic in Fun Prompts
Similarities: Respectful until you prove you do not deserve respect. Strong work ethics Calm and resourceful Suffer from bouts of insomnia Differences: I am not a Warrior nor think killing is every the right choice. I have no pets due to lack of funds and doubt I would be able to take good care of them. Asmodean has lost both his parents where I lucky still have both of mine Asmodean has some faith in the twelve while I am an agnostic Atheist Asmodean is a skilled piano player. I can only dream  I'm sure there is more but currently lack of sleep make thinking hard. >.> -
Asmodean has a pair of pets but he views them more as his only family left. First is Valdar, the former coeurl kitten when Asmo was young now a full adult. He could use her as a mount but seeing as he avoids every riding anything he doesn't. His newest family is a baby Unicolt, whom he joking calls Halone. He came across her while on patrol in the westeren highlands and she imprinted on the midlander. He has leaves her in the care of the innkeep of the Forgotten Knight, while out doing work. He found her half frozen to death, he wants to avoid any chance of that happening while she is in his care.

The Vent Tent - Poor PuGs and Other Terrible Tales
Asmodean replied to Gegenji's topic in FFXIV Discussion
All I want to know is why when I want to level Summoner on my main, I always get lag in Dungeons. I hate hitting Aetherflow only to not get my stacks for about three GCD. >.< Why the hell is this always come back to being a problem. It feels like playing monk back in 2.1 where the lag never let you change stances those killing the whole point of the job. I hope it's just a one day problem but I really hate when duty finder lag happens. Also like others have said... **** Bismarch HM. I don't mind the fight but for the love of god if you have no idea what you are meant to do just ask. -
Asmodean is always looking for work and while not shady, he'll see a job to the end so long as it doesn't involve kidnapping or slave trade. He's a 60 War so yeah. Only thing is when the plot might happen, odd play time and such, so yeah if you still need a few more then feel free to pm in game or something.

Things You Love, BUT Would Likely Never RP?
Asmodean replied to 13uddy's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
This style of character : http://rollplaywestmarches.wikia.com/wiki/Doctor_Grigori_Petrovich I love see this d&d game of the player playing him and god will it be fun but it would feel a bit too god modish >.>. Also I'm bad at doing evil characters. -
Your character's favorite clothing/attire(s)!
Asmodean replied to g0ne's topic in Character Workshop
Give Asmodean a heavy plate armor and he is happy. If not then anything that at least covers his body from the neck down. He refuses to let anyone see his body. -
Asmodean's scared right eye wasn't originally the yellow-gold it is now. It's a wound from the Calamity with it and the scar are the only things he lets other see. He carries a Warrior soulstone pass down his mother's side of the family but he has little to nothing about that side of his family. He also carries a locket, a sliver sword and a tome that turned out to be a journal for his mother's. Asmodean is a skilled player of the piano. He just never really has a chance to play anymore. Unlikely as it might seem for the wandering mercenary, he quite embarrassed about his body. While others seem to show off scars with pride, Asmodean keeps his hidden and out of sight. The worst being his chest nearly bone deep unhealing aetheric scars which are also from the Calamity.

Thanks, Asmodean. Can't help but worry a little. We almost lost her one time before a couple of years ago to infection. That was coloring my post when I type it up. You're right, she's home and resting since it was caught it early, so she'll be just fine. I understand that worry, My own mother had a stroke last December and while I live with my girlfriend, just knowing she had something like that happen, I was a nervous wreak for a few weeks until I saw her. Worrying about family is only human, but don't let it get out of hand. Everyone around me, even my bosses wore walking on egg shells for those few weeks.

While I wasn't in chat when this happened, I wish all the best. I know the feelings that might be running thought your head right now but trust me, calm down and think. She's home, if things wore not good then she wouldn't be. Everything is going to be fine.

A simple idea but a great one in my mind. I have never seen the /lfm symbol myself in game so it would be something we can put to good use until Square gives us an RP/IC one.

What physique does your character prefer? WAIT! In their significant other!
Asmodean replied to g0ne's topic in Fun Prompts
While Asmodean would never admit it, he looks the most into others eyes. They are known as a window to the soul for a reason and he often looks others in the eye when speaking. It is in part out of a basic respect he gives others until he thinks they no longer have a reason for him to respect but he has caught himself staring a bit too long in a few women's eyes. Aside from that a calming voice is a nice plus for him and a welcoming smile also helps. -
"Ugh I need to update my character's Wiki"
Asmodean replied to Berrod Armstrong's topic in RP Discussion
I've done this several times and I find it really fun and interesting. Whenever I read about someone who has been a member of the Immortal Flames, or who grew up in Ul'dah, I start thinking of possibilities for sharing elements of our backstories. That's really the best use of the wikis in my opinion, to give your character context for the purpose of developing RP plot ideas. I wouldn't use it as a way of divulging "deep dark secrets" because I think part of the fun of RP is the discovery of these things through interaction. We're all taking part in a cooperative storytelling exercise, after all, so we have a responsibility to one another not to spoil the stories that we're telling. I think this is the best way to use a Wiki. I have a few hints about where Asmodean story is going to have but for the most part it's just a bit of background for other to look at and see if they like. I just hate looking back at mid cause I always find something I forgot to edit last time I was editing, leading to my annoyance. >.< Always miss something. Also a good way to kept track of Asmodean thought on people he has encountered and what he may have heard and in fact knows about them. -
Grand Tournament of the Fury [Idea tossing about]
Asmodean replied to Draco Nobis's topic in Chronicled Connections
I think a once every three months would be for the best. A Grand Tournament for every season works well in my mind and would give you the time to maybe think up something to make each special and different. Asmodean would more then likely take part as fighter trying to claim the Champion of the Blade but will work as a guard for the other events as needed. -
My greatest moment in FF14 was originally back in 2.0. Beating Titan Hard mode with a duty finder group. It just felt great to have what I needed to get my Curtana after throwing myself at the rock man for the past four hours. However with Hevenswards out I would have to make the final battle of 3.0 as greatest moment of FF14 so far.

Many suns have pasted since my last log... and things have begun to trouble me. While most of the Dragoons I have encountered so far have been upstanding individuals, I have started to see a few seem to act like the Brass Blades back home. Praying on the weak and powerless, scum who dishonor the armor they wear. I know it's would be foolish to expect everyone of an order to be a upstanding warrior but to think people still act like this in spite of the war. Then there is the distrust the clergy have of me and other outsiders. The number of times I have been stop in the streets have become more then just annoying. questions about my faith and my thoughts on dragons... it is like they are trying to make me one of the enemies they have. So far I have bitten my tongue but that will only last so long. But knowing myself... I will snap... and it will not end well for anyone one involved. I think some time away maybe needed to clear my mind. A change of area would be nice for little Halone here after all. The more I think about it the more it would be good for the both of us. Gridania should be nice this time of cycle, maybe even get some more lance training in while I'm at it.
-
What would it take for your character to snap? Would it be simple raw anger or would be a psychotic snap? Everyone has their break points, and everyone has their own things that can make them snap. For Asmodean controlling himself has become harder and harder in the past year but thanks to him having avoiding connecting with others, he has never had anything to push him over the edge. Now, however with a few people he's started to work with or simply spent some time speaking with, the threat of him snapping is there. All it would really take would to have one of them to come to harm before him, for Asmo to enter a rage. While he has trained with a warrior soulstone, but the one in question isn't a a standard soulstone with it's own drawbacks. If fact it in part would the reason he couldn't normally control his rage. Then the next problem would be trying calm him down from that enraged state. Lucky for him he' rarely out in the field with anyone he might worry about so this might not be that much of a problem.

Does your Character aspire to be a Hero?
Asmodean replied to -no longer matters-'s topic in RP Discussion
Asmodean when he was young wanted to walk the path of a Paladin, thinking it might be the best way to walk the path his mother once did. While not a paladin herself, she more or less was the very idea that free paladin's are meant to be. Now Asmodean barely worries what others think of him. Some have called him a hero, others call him a fool and still others act like he is not even there. He tries to stay true to his own code but even he knows there are times he can't control himself. Besides heroes are made by others, so he simply tries to do what is right. -
The Great Burden of Adventurers and their Jobs
Asmodean replied to Seriphyn's topic in FFXIV Discussion
Summoners more or less have to deal with their own hunger for power. Only reason the summoning art was lost was more or less those who could not summon over powering summoners who wore becoming power crazy. While I have only got to the 54 quest, my guess is our burden would be learning to control the Dreadwyrn trance and not becoming like the summoners of old.
