  1. I consider RP successful if it makes me cry. I've been in floods of tears before during RP. If it makes you feel that much, then it must've been good, right?
  2. I've found that Dolby Headphone and half-decent standard headphones gives a great surround sound experience. Especially seeing as I don't have any room for speakers in here! EDIT: It removed my quote! It's in response to SicketySix's post above
  3. Well, I used to play more things using it than I do now. I brought it out of retirement to play Elite: Dangerous. It's an old Microsoft Sidewinder force-feedback one, but the force-feedback is obsolete now which is a shame, as it was great.
  4. Well, I would say completely unfiltered, but I did throw a couple of tissues away before I took this!
  5. I have a character, Jennifer Armstrong, that lived in Ala Mhigo when it was invaded. Her story isn't that well developed yet, but I'm working on it through RP and research. I don't think I've done anything stupid yet! I wanted to tag this and just indicate my interest!
  6. Some of the funniest RP I've ever had has been with Cass! Admittedly we've only RPed a few times, but her RP seems to flow so naturally, and I get the feeling that the character is more complex than I've realised. Thank you! EDIT: Oops, I realise that not many people know me, so I may just break the thread.
  7. Ami has a rather underdeveloped sense of humour, often missing the joke, especially if it has any lewd overtones, and when she does eventually get it (with prompting, usually), then embarrassment sets in.
  8. Ami is most comfortable in loose clothes (For the Thanalan heat) that leave little skin exposed (she burns easily, and because she's uncomfortable showing too much skin), and with her favourite colour, midnight blue, wherever possible.
  9. Ami would definitely be a librarian. And no-one would dare place a book in the wrong place, or return a book late!
  10. We're both extremely shy people, so we'd just smile awkwardly and not dare start a conversation. Yes, there's too much of me in my character than is perhaps healthy!
  11. Actually, what I tend to do when I start an MMO is create one of every race, come up with a vague background and then play them, and see if the character resonates with me. Ami did, so I stuck with her! I do also like tall characters.
  12. I love this idea! I've never seen that tag used anywhere, so why not re-appropriate it?
  13. I had that too, but my alternate use of the wiki is to kinda remind myself of Vachir's past and traits etc. Like, if I can't remember his twin sister's name, I can just look it up on his wiki. I never thought of that! I keep notes using notepad, which isn't ideal!
  14. I keep meaning to create a page, but whenever I try, I always have a bit of a crisis of confidence and wonder who on earth would want to read it. I'll have to force myself this weekend, I think.
  15. Ami is another one that has an obsession with romance novels. I suspect she may have to visit the Shroud at some point!
  16. Ami never even knew that being a hero was possible, and even if she did have the skill, she wouldn't want that fame and attention; she would just want to help those she can without being in the spotlight.
  17. I've voted "Disciple of the Hand" as it's closest, but she's actually a cleaner! However, that's not what she wants to do all her life. It's paying her room bill at the Hourglass until she can learn a craft, or do something more interesting.
  18. Ami mourns her lost childhood, although it's hard to call it regret as she didn't really have much way to influence it, although she could've run away sooner. She deeply regrets the clumsy attempts at intimacy she has attempted since arriving in Ul'dah, fuelled by a deep need to be loved and her complete lack of experience of interacting with people. She dove in feet-first, ended up in too deep and then made a complete mess of things trying to extricate herself.
  19. Sounds fun! I'd certainly be interested.
  20. Just because it's a public event doesn't make it a free-for-all. He can go do that elsewhere, with people that want to be part of what he's doing. Call the person out on what they're doing, and if they aren't willing to conform to the rules of the event, then blacklist and ignore.
  21. Ami has a fear of heights, as she has never been off the ground until a few months ago. She deals with it by walking down the very middle of the walkways in Limsa, and avoiding cliffs! People have been generally supportive so far, which is nice, although you can feel the surprise! She'll learn to deal with them one day, I'm sure. It'll just take time. ...not the most intersting or exciting phobia, I know, but that fits her just fine.
  22. Definitely! I just wish that other characters would occasionally be negative towards Amielle because of her heritage. But Vachir doesn't know her heritage, he just knows Ami is nice. D: I know! And she thinks he is nice too! We started to get into it when talking outside of the Quicksand about Gridania, but we were interrupted once more D:
  23. Definitely! I just wish that other characters would occasionally be negative towards Amielle because of her heritage.
  24. There are always plenty of people playing in my evening (UK time), and people are really nice. It's a little quieter with the Heavensward release as people level, but there's still RP to be found!
