balmung Garlean Sultansworn - Noire Nel Nelsicar
Aldotsk replied to Aldotsk's topic in Chronicled Connections
There might be a reason for that. All the same, best of luck with your new concept. You're right that no one would technically know without being told (barring the third eye), and you'll be fairly well insulated since as an alt, she'll never see Anelia in person. The character slots in my legacy account has been filled so the account is being created on my Ex's account that still has like 6 months to the subscription. (Yes I bought her a year subscription worth of game cards and then we broke up like two weeks after and she quit lol) But regardless , I would like to have people gain connections with this characters to view her differently. She'll be looked down upon by her ethnicity and her status (in the future) but to have people respect her in the future -

I'd like to add that the quote I made up at the first start of the story had no absolute relations on this character publicly going to tell others who she is >_> as long as she doesn't... Tell her middle name at least. I expect people will assume she's ishgardian or somewhere else as long as she doesn't say her name in front of Anelia. Regardless, should people feel disappointed about how I want this character to go, I am sorry but I am pretty convinced of making a character like this since I am not sure if anyone thought of pulling this ludicrous stunt... Correction, the character has not committed any crime or have any reasonable grounds for anyone to believe that she has committed any crimes that are under the laws of Ul'dah. Ul'dah's law does not state that Sultansworns are only given to natural born Ul'dahns. Also Ul'dah is NOT United States nor it actually has the logical similarities as United States. We can talk about Great Britain if we are comparing Ul'dah to US then. Also, why are people trying to make this game to realism too much? There is a limit of boundaries that in reality, magics that can summon creatures and dragons that breathes fires or lightning don't exist. Even if it's not Sultansworn, if what Berrod's logic is true - then Jenlyns wouldn't even give free paladin recognition to this character. -

I really don't like bringing IRL logics to video game logics since I usually view video game lore logics as more of fiction and anything can happen type of view. Sultansworn exists to protect Sultana, and if the character makes an oath - I really doubt it'll be an issue on if people will doubt this character. Sure, let the people doubt her - but there are those who will watch her to grow and gain trust. That's the power of fictional character development. Again, Sultansworns are not Secret Services. You know what secret services mostly do? Just standing at the white house all day. Sultansworns don't usually sit in the white house all day. They are more of agents like CIA/FBI than secret services to protect president all day. Edit: To relay what I've just said, Ala Mhigo was also very hostile nation to Ul'dah long time ago in lore basis, and the people have ran down to Ul'dah as refugees who did not agree with Ala Mhigo's ideals. Some even ran away when Garleans took over. Some have become Sultansworns and some have been living in the streets or is a famous researcher. -

Is a daughter but yeah you are right. But the leader is dead and the person can just live shamelessly as an orphan or probably hiding in places? Regardless - why not make this dramatically interesting to have a Garlean person fighting for Ul'dah? And also unfortunately, Ul'dah is just a terrible imitation of US Secret Service. -
If anything, I really prefer them to release craftable gears that look like dungeon gears. (i.e. - Braflox HM gears and Hullbreaker gears). and is NOT class restricted but for Disciple of War and Disciple of Magic.

I'll admit. I used to blacklist a lot of gil sellers, but they always change into new names or have their character (Deleted) in my list. So I stopped bothering and I stopped using /reply since I accidentally mistell towards gil sellers when they ninja PM me. I've only Blacklisted like 4-5 people. But it's because they really pushed my buttons when I asked them to stop and leave me alone and they kept talking trash to me. They ended up trying to find out my skype info which was annoying too. But yeah. You really have to push my buttons to blacklist you at the end. I tend to unblacklist after few weeks because I get over it or forgive someone for their behaviors.

A question between player's opinions, how many straws would you pull to actually use Blacklist function on someone? First offense? Second offense? If an IC RP goes bad, would you be blacklisting right away ? Or discuss it in OOC first and settle it out - and then blacklist if the opposite party is literally being obnoxious and starts picking a fight? Would you blacklist someone without any explanation or warning through OOCly? Would you blacklist someone in-game because you don't like someone through forums? Try not to respond if this is a sensitive topic to you. I'd like to hear people's opinions.

Remnants of a Life Inexpertly Led (Open, OOC comments ok)

Anelia reads the will and leaves it on the table. She lowered her head down, having her hairs cover face to prevent from anyone seeing her cry. She smiled a little from Natalie's will. "In the end, you still loved on what you wanted to do. I'll respect that at least. I'll see you in the afterlife once I finish what I have been fighting for... maybe that time, we'll sit down and have a drink or something." She takes a deep breath and sighed a bit. "I won't say good bye, because I know you aren't the type that would say it either. But I'll say that I'll see you again." She walks out with a slight weak smile in her mouth. She felt that she should stop weeping for Natalie. She remembers that one day when Anelia was weeping for her foster father's sickness, Natalie came up to her with a silly jokes to make her smile. Even though a drop of tear fell down, that was her last tear that dropped for her friend. -
Aldotsk/Anelia's Little Drawing Corner - and Beyond

Midterm is this week for me. So I'll be working on drawings this weekend. Sorry for not giving heads up! -
<> "What do you mean, I am a Garlean....? Father, please do not joke about this. You are well aware that I've been carrying a lot of guilt on killing rebelling Ala Mhigans... and now you are telling me that I also have been killing Garleans too...!?" Anelia's eyes grew widened while holding Tyraneus and shaking him violently. Her eyes glimmered with tears falling down to her cheeks. The worst news has come down to her. Her enemy, Garlemald Empire was in her blood. Anelia's breath draws heavily with a shudder to her exhale. Her face turns red and swollen, unable to accept that she is part Garlean. She shook her head violently. She looks at Tyraneus with a glare. "What else are you hiding from me...? How many things must you adults keep hidden from me and my family? It doesn't matter... all of my siblings are dead. They maybe my half siblings, but they are dearly precious to my life and they are no longer here." Tyraneus remained silent and looked at Anelia with a grimaced face. He shut his eyes and looked at her. "Anelia... Ravous Nul Nelsicar was your mother's brother. But in the end, you killed him without knowing it. It is not your fault. He probably knew, but you didn't." Anelia paused for a moment and looked at Tyraneus in a shocked face. The man who murdered her parents and the man she killed for vengeance in Carteneau was her very uncle. She laughs while her tears are falling down with disbelief. She laughs while shaking her head violently and just couldn't accept everything that she's hearing from her foster father. "I don't know what to do.... How do you want me to live with this? Father, tell me... I really... I really can't live myself to have this kind of truth and burden in my life. What did I do so wrong...?" Tyraneus remained silent. He clears his throat, and looked at her with guilt. "ANSWER ME!" Anelia screamed at him with rage while she's shaking him, beating his chest lightly. She was trembling with fear and rage. "You lied to me! All this time! You knew about it when you adopted me and you made me join Sultansworn knowing that I'd go after Ravous! You knew about me going to Carteneau and killing my own kin! Why...? WHY!?" "Because I felt that it was right for you to have you to avenge your parents. Your parents died without giving you full love until you grew up. Your uncle... no, he is no uncle to you. He probably knew about you and wanted to kill you with his hands. After all, you are his sister's child and a child of the man he has resented for a long time." Anelia glared at him and didn't say a word to him. She couldn't accept it, but in the end she had to accept it because she was born that way. "Listen, Anelia... I am leaving this estate to you. It is yours now. And also... I've reminded R'ucard Nunh to speak with you once I am dead. He is the one of the last two leagues in the knights who is aware of your real father's last wishes. He will take care of you. However.... his son, you must be careful of him." He paused for a moment and inhaled heavily to try and explain it to her. "His name... is R'uarch Nunh. You must be careful of him." "I understand... But...you... are leaving everything to me?" Tyraneus laughs lightly while coughing out few more bloods. Anelia knew that he is at his last breath soon. She looked down at his hand and she breaks into tears again. "I had a son, and a wife. ...After my son was kidnapped by hired thugs, he was slaughtered. My wife fell into depression, and hung herself. I was left alone... until I found you. I heard that your last name was Sadowyn and I took you and Aurenn in. Fiore was taken to Gridania so I could not bring her in. Aurenn's sins are in my burdens as a bad father even if I maybe a foster father." "I... I don't know... what to do.... without you anymore. A lot of people are dying that I care about left and right... I don't know what I want. I am not sure if I want to be a Sultansworn anymore." She puts her forehead onto Tyraneus's hand and shudders. She holds it tightly, hoping that he would not die. Even though she realizes that it's too late. "You choose what you want to do.... As a father, I am very proud of what you've become. You may take everyone's burden and sins and show your strong convicted mind... but, in the end you are a girl just like every other girls out there. You are still a child in your heart to care about everyone inside." Anelia bursts into tears again. "I .... can see Isenard, Merilian and Gusvalt in the afterlife now.... I'll say hello to them for you... I'll be waiting for you in the future, Anelia... but don't come early though..." Tyraneus smiled and drew his last breath. He closed his eyes peacefully and dropped his hands away from Anelia. "...Farewell.....in the end, you were still a father that I loved...." Anelia covers her face on his blanket and cries really loud. <>

My new paladin character who's going to be in part of Anelia's story will make her appearance to disturb Anelia completely. The character's alignment will fully be neutral-chaotic good but she will try to keep her distance from the blue paladin due to past connections. Here's the backgrounds to see if you'd be interested in interacting with this character in the future.

It's been shocking to her that she just couldn't accept Natalie's death. Anelia sits down in her office, holding her tears from Western Thanalan to Mist. She bursts out into tears, unable to handle the fact that her former friend and comrade has passed away. Somehow she always felt that this would happen. She felt that with Natalie running into troubles with politics, crimes and other hidden secrets she had, someday everything will come right back at her. Anelia felt that it was herself to blame because she couldn't stop the girl from falling into more troubles. She just wishes that she could have done more to stop Natalie. But apparently to Anelia's thought, she felt that she was a useless person. Not a friend, or even a comrade. She stares at her old photos of her Sultansworn squad from many cycles before, and she smiled faintly and realizes that she can't shed any more tears because nothing will bring the girl back alive. The case went cold, and more corrupted people like Jameson Taeros are still free to corrupt Ul'dah. She started asking herself if even her abilities or even Crofte can stop the political corruption caused by Syndicates. She decided to leave the political matter out of her hands. She takes a whiskey and started drinking it heavily to forget the matters tha has happened.

PSU, PSP1 + 2 and infinity are my most favorites. PSO2 is also amazing. Everything here is all nostalgia to me. My nostalgia will always be Starcraft. Just because.
