Hahaha oh my GOD. I liked Raubahn and Urianger (Gideon Emery, mmmm!) but most of the others were either forgettable or flat-out cringe worthy.

One of my friends once said, "You know you're getting old when you're RPing characters younger than yourself." My characters in this game are decidedly young, Rinh being the oldest in her mid 20s, but I've played older characters in other MMOs. If I can summon the strength for a second alt, I'd definitely like to have a greying mother-of-three Highlander or something like that, who scares her children with a severed bear's head when they're playing up. "I killed this with me bare hands. Jus' think what'll happen t'ya if ya don't get yer arses into bed right now!"

Glad you all enjoyed it! I didn't take many screenshots as I was busy trying to sort everything out, but here's one of the drinking contest. Six unconscious blokes and one triumphant lady, haha!

Thanks everyone for coming! The fishing contest lacked enough entries so we had an impromptu drinking contest instead, with our winner, Emadra, being the last one standing! The hypnosis magical act and play were fantastic as well, so thanks to Milton for hypnotising poor Hoerfing and Korin, and for Emadra, Nebula and Sini'to with their improvisational acting. Of course, a big thank you to the attendees and spectators, for what is a carnival without you! Cheers!

Europa often has impromptu meet ups at the Drowning Wench or Bismarck in Limsa although lately we've been moving to the circular area across from the docks. I don't know how else to describe it, so behold my amazing Paint skills! We also meet at the Quicksand and Gold Court in Ul'dah and Apkulla Falls in Gridania.

This is tonight, folks! We'll meet at the aetheryte in Costa del Sol and I will escort everyone to the beach where W'rexen Tia will start off the fishing competition. Start point: Aetheryte in Costa del Sol First attraction: Moonfire Angler Derby, presented by W'rexen Tia. Second attraction: Mysterious Hypnosius, presented by Milton Tibbleton. Final attraction: A Night at the Improv, with M'risha Eliozh, Nebula Stardancer and possibly others. Food and drink will be available at the various bars scattered throughout Costa del Sol. I've already run into another Rinh, d'oh! I just assume it's a common name, like Rachel or something. As for males, well, the same applies. Your mothers just both had common names too. I wouldn't worry about it too much myself but that's just me.

I've never been on Gilgamesh but I always find RP on Balmung. Always, every night. Most popular spots seem to be Limsa's Drowning Wench and Bismarck, Ul'dah's Quicksand and Gold Court, Costa del Sol and Camp Bronze Lake. Sometimes it's arranged via my linkshell, sometimes I get whispers from people because I have "RPer" in my search info and sometimes it's walk ups. I noticed a few people saying the RP on Balmung is insular; I can't speak for everyone but I always try to include strangers if I'm RPing with friends. Yesterday was a prime example. It started off with myself and a friend, then we invited a walk up to join us, then another, then the first left and yet another came, and before we knew it there was 7 or 8 people all RPing together, most of whom had never met previously! There will always be people more closed off to strangers, no matter where you go, but there are also people like me who will welcome you with open arms. If you're still on Balmung then please do add me to your friends list and give me a nudge for RP.

I'm not sure on the exact numbers but alts don't actually make up a significant proportion of our members. I wouldn't force someone to move their alt but of course if anyone has an alt they rarely play, or simply would prefer to move an alt to E2, then do let me know and I'll sort it for you.

I only played 1.0 for a couple days so all my characters are being RPed as having not skipped through time. Rinh lost more than half of her clan in the Calamity and eventually moved to Limsa, whilst T'yareth's tribe was all but decimated so she fled to Ul'dah. It's fun trying to forge new connections, rebuild what was destroyed and RP the emotional consequences of such a horrible loss.

Over 100 members! Guess what? We're nearing the limit on members in Europa, currently standing at 107. This is both good because yay, lots of EU RPers, but bad because we won't be able to accept any new people. For that reason, we've set up Europa2 for anyone who joins us after the cap is reached. Taeh and myself are in both linkshells so we can pass on important information and RP requests from E1 to E2 whilst E2 gets filled up. In the meantime, if anyone wants to migrate to E2 for whatever reason (perhaps would prefer a quieter group?), just let us know and we can invite you.
