  1. Best RP'er on Balmung, this one...I can vouch
  2. I will be taking a Doomtrain card...as I have to practice my staring at a mock up before I challenge him to an actual contest again!
  3. Hello Soahl! Nothing wrong with getting a feel for the world before getting your feet wet in the role play...it's good to have a character that knows a bit about the world that they are assumed to have lived in for a while . Welcome to the community, and I hope to meet you in game
  4. From one Lalafell bard to another...*salute* 8-)
  5. The Duskwight Discussion thread may be relevant to at least half your interest . A few elezen players are identified there. Also, the Duskwight Clan wiki, listing player-created Duskwight families
  6. Hello Her_Omen! I'd love to meet your Nununi Nuni...we can never have too many lalafell ! Don't worry, I have a feeling you'll make new friends here soon...introducing yourself to everyone is a great first step . Welcome to the community...hope to meet you in-game  !
  7. Hello Yoa! Looks like we've played many of the same MMO's...wonder if we've ever met and didn't know it . We have a few players from Europe in our Free Company, specifically from the Scandinavian countries. I find that most of the time, their English usage is far, far better than us lazy, jaded native speakers  ! Welcome to the community...hope to meet you in-game  !
  8. One of the things we try to do in our Free Company (Unsung Heroes) is pledge that no one be stuck in their story at the whims of the duty finder, and we create complete Free Company parties for pretty much everything multiple times daily . It's nice to be able to go through new content with friends and those you trust as well... though I realize not everyone has that option . You don't have a Free Company listed in your information...maybe finding a home would help you .
  9. Hello Sakurai Koji! I take it from the name that you are a...Midlander? What is your character's concept, or have you gotten that far ? Anima, eh? I've always wanted to try out that one. Looks like you've had some RP experience elsewhere. FFXIV is such a great setting for role-play, and I hope you'll find what you are searching for here. Welcome to the community, and I hope to meet you in-game  !
  10. Hello Annelotte! I certainly hope you're able to make your way over to Balmung...always great to meet new role players ! What an interesting background...do you live in Brazil then? What language is Monica's gang written in? I've always thought being a Kindergarten teacher would be a rewarding experience, so I envy you there (though you'd know better than I if that envy is warranted or not ). Welcome to the community, hope to meet you when you get over to Balmung  !
  11. Hello Rox! Any friend of Tralalatoo (Tirra Lirra ) is a definite plus in my book! And what an interesting combination...a head-banging knick-knack artisan  ! Looks like you know what you want out of your character, and have the experience to know how to get it. I look forward to hopefully running into your little band someday soon . Welcome to the community...hope to meet you in-game  !
  12. Hello JTeacher! You are living an interesting life right now ! I lived in Korea for four years, and it is such an interesting experience going from a western background into an Asian culture . I'm sure you'll find some people to play with here within this community. Even in the Free Company I am a part of, we have players who are living in Asia that are a part of our group, and I find we're able to interact with them quite often, despite the difference in time zones . Welcome to the community...hope to meet you in-game  !
  13. Hello Belvisa! Glad you decided to join us on balmung...the role play community will be a better place with one who takes their character and RP experience so deep within them . Welcome to the community, and I hope to meet you in-game  !
  14. Hello Briaya! Wow, a Mass Effect D&D campaign...I can't even imagine how different that would be :surprise: ! Well, I guess I could imagine how different, actually... Seems like you are coming in with a good plan of action for your characters, and seem to have been involved in the MMO scene and role play long enough to know what works for you . Welcome to the community...hope to see you in-game  !
  15. Hello Bloodtruffle! We've got a lot of really good artists here in this community, and I hope you'll be so inclined as to share with us your works as well soon Welcome to the community, hope to meet you in-game  !
  16. Hello Jace! I'll be looking for the moogle hat, so I can recognize you in game . Hope to meet you sometime  !
  17. Hello Mysth ! Seems like you have a good plan already with your character. I love Ul'dah as a base of operations...such a wonderful setting for a personal tale  Welcome to the community...hope to meet you in game
  18. No, Ferris...it's just an IC way of introducing your character into the story, and if he cannot read or write, when Tralala open the front office again, come up and tell her so You're on with us now...glad you at least have that way of keeping in communications. Sorry about the site...I don't have any control of that, unfortunately
  19. We will be attempting to accomplish the previously-scheduled IC role play event for those who are interested in joining us in the Unsung Heroes on Monday, Sept 2nd, at 4pm PST. Please refer to the quoted post for further details ! Nearing fifty members, Unsung Heroes is still actively recruiting to our RP-friendly Free Company ! Our numbers allow for us to assist our members through the various dungeons one is exposed to through the character's main story, be it the first three required instances or those beyond. We strive to ensure our members are not stuck in their progression by overlong duty-finder queues. We'd love to have you join us, be you someone new to role play, maybe returning after time away, or even an active, experienced role player with a tale to tell
  20. Walking, custom emotes, and standard ice-breaker lines in /say are great ways to advertise that you are actively looking for RP. If there are fellow role players in the area, there is a good chance that they might take the bait, for at least a few lines of pick up RP. Developing story lines might be a big harder as a solo wanderer. There are many great RP guilds listed in Linshell Hall, and you may need to choose one to help you to tell your story . We also recognize those RP FCs names, so if there are some you know of that wear the abbreviations from those Free Companies in your immediate area, you have a better chance to start things up randomly. For me, often, role play is where you find it and when you make it  .
  21. Hello LilMomoshi! Yay, a writer ! There is a sub forum on this site for just such a purpose, to share stories and journals with the community, called Town Square. Please share sometime ! Welcome to the community, hope to meet you in-game  !
  22. Believe it or not, at some point, I might switch sides and wear a green mantle instead of the current dusky one 8-) . I converted one of my 1.0 characters into a Wildwood after all...can't waste the tattoo
  23. This so far is my RP set...simply the garishly-yellow pugilist quest set, when redyed takes on a fairly new look. Kinda dig the big 70's collar, and it looks good against my dark skin 8-)
