BTW I think it has to do a lot with the loading screens its normally when you move to zone to zone right? Nope. Not zoning. Just playing the game. Have gotten booted crafting in a hall... fighting in the Shroud... Fighting in a dungeon... chatting with a friend (in my Inn room)... standing in BentBranch chatting with others at the aetheryte... Got booted once during a rez... And once zoning, I think. Otherwise... yeah. just Hi-bye.

What I don't understand is... Why someone actively playing the game gets booted- yet an afker can stay on all day and night... I am -constantly- getting kicked from the game and unable to return. Just an hour ago, I was kicked from the middle of the last boss fight in Coppermine.

Getting in is only half the battle. The other is -staying- in...... Nothing better than disconnecting the middle of a dungeon or battle.... And ending up dead- or your dungeon group wiped because you poofed.....

@mtoto: I was not aware of the differences b/t tanks (still learning who the tank classes are in ARR) but sounds like just as a tank needs to be aware of the dps in their group, dps should recognize issues that might come up depending on tank class. I typically try to keep an eye on my aggro anyway, but if I knew certain tanks had more difficulty holding aggro when I do certain moves, or whatever, that would help me plan my attacks better. I'm still learning myself, but what I posted above is what I've always been told when playing dps (mainly dps or healer roles, with some CC). Always up for more info to be a better team member.

What Garry said. No healer= no chance at victory. Leroy Jenkins dps? Let them die if they want to try to tank & not listen. Tanks always, always always pull first. As a rule, dps should hang back for a couple of seconds to ensure tank has hate, then jump in. If dps pulls hate -then- it's a tank issue. But If dps runs in too quick or pulls first, you have a crappy dps member. As a rule, only time anyone other than tank hits an enemy first, it is for CC: sleep or sap , etc Even then, good communication is in order. Don't blame yourself... Just get in a good group.

*nods* The dungeons really aren't that bad... and if you're with a cool group of folks, not bad at all. I've done all 3, plus Ifrit with my FC (or folks from here)... and no wipe yet. Really nothing to worry about if you're among friends

Mainly.... its an IC 'connection' for Duskwrights that could (hopefully) promote DW specific RP, offer us the chance to 'call' on our brethern/sisters when being IC harrassed or in trouble, etc. As far as who to contact- Kari is the LS owner, but several others have invite abilities. Since the game is down, I'm going from memory here, but I think those that can invite are: Kari Yssen Eva Chiane Send us a /tell- or make your desire known here and if we see you online, we'll try to grab you IC.

Well. Considering the crammed servers... suggesting creating a server for ONLY RPers -might- now be listened to. I mean... with free transfers (that could/would include Legacies) to such a server... the 'normal' servers would lose a nice chunk of bodies. Maybe they wouldn't listen BEFORE... but maybe they will listen NOW. Otherwise... crammed servers are pissing paying players off- and that is something they can't afford.

I think... just like in anything... it can be used within reason and with respect for other RPers. Bad RPers will try to use it irresponsibly- - and that is the point where I say 'thanks for the fish' and tap out of the RP. That is, if the person is MEANING to be a metagaming jerk. If he/she is just ignorant, there is the polite OOC /tell to inform them that that's not acceptable. That any Echo usage is only permitted in RP after an OOC 'ok' from the one you're Echoing on. I played a Pscionist in Vanguard. I think I did it well- I set my limits, I cleared any 'mind reading' and 'psychic surgery' things with my RP partners. I created sanctions IC to limit her use, etc. Echo is similiar (albeit less controllable)- but as OOC humans, we =CAN= control the use of Echo. IC characters? no. So... Chiane has it. But it's much more of a 'quirk' than a focus of my RP. Kinda like her hair color...
