Here's some lovely shots of my character, coming soon to a Balmung near you. -
I'm still getting all settled in here given I just transferred over, but definitely will be contacting you once I've got my character information all sorted out. You'd best be ready for a swift-thinking sea-cat!

Have a cat-nap picture too! :moogle: I'm a huge fan of the musical, Spring Awakening, where Priapia is the artist's colony that the character Ilse lives in. It also has its more obvious ties to the Greek god Priapus, whose rather strange portrayal and later controversy was the very reason the musical sought to use him as the namesake for their bohemian village. And, boop, have another song, from said musical. mJtjgFF9l-4

Hey there, HRC! I remember I made a post about getting into FF XIV Roleplay way back in... Jeez, I think it was September? Anyways, stuff happened, so there has been a few delays between here and there, but the point is: I'm finally here and ready to check things out. Though the character I wish to use as my main is still in the creation process and being leveled, I hope to delve into roleplay as soon as possible once I've gotten things sorted out. I'm currently working through that arduous 20-30 level bracket and attempting to get a somewhat decent outfit to use for her. Given that I like to have a good grasp of character before I really write for them, I'll probably take a bit to finish her wiki page and nail down some of the details before I do anything but lurk, but... Soon™ I shall be ready to post up a connections thread and bring her into wonderful Eorzea. Until then, I'll continue doing my best to scour the lore for answers to any pesky questions I might have and slog away at this leveling task that awaits me. Any pointers for a relative newbie to the game would be well appreciated as well, kupo. Otherwise I'll be stuck grinding FATES alone till sea swallows all. discussion Rogue One !!Spoilers!! Discussion Thread

This. Also, why are people acting like this is something new? This is what Vader is practically known for in terms of dialogue. Witty, mocking humor that makes his peers and rivals look like little more than the pawns they are. "Apology accepted, Captain Needa." <--- That line has the exact same sarcastic and dark humor that Vader always shows, and that was definitely captured perfectly in Rogue One. For me, he wasn't Vader until her gave that line. That line made me go: Holy shit, this isn't just an imitation. This is the real thing. 09MMbCSwhac Also, with great sadness, let us all take a moment to salute the wonderful Carrie Fisher, may she be with the Force. -

Looking to RP on Balmung, New to Game, Help
Dreams of Priapia replied to TheCathOfDoom's topic in Welcome Desk
All the rules for character transfers can be found here: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/option_service/world_transfer_service/ As for cancelling the free trial, I'm sure there's a way, but it probably would be easier to just not play on that trial account and let it run out. I believe it even auto-cancels itself after like 90 days or something on a trial account if you haven't upgraded to a full account. -
Another song from Dance Gavin Dance, and one that is serving in some small capacity as inspiration as I write the profile for my first RP character in FF XIV. And I'm assuming that you're worth it You would never break my heart The way you're killing me is perfect Bleed me out and leave no scar T53vnhvbmiA

Fresh to Final Fantasy, Long Time Roleplayer
Dreams of Priapia replied to Dreams of Priapia's topic in Welcome Desk
Thanks for the reminder, I'll probably have to wait a little bit longer as I was finalizing the rest of my character list earlier today, but that just gives me more time to finish out a basic profile before I jump into things. :bouncy: -
Every time I see that band name, I am disappointed in the lack of Gavin Free. His first little role on RvB (1:30) is still one of the funniest moments in the entire series for me ( also because of how consistent they are on ensuring that from that point onward no one can ever pronounce it correctly for seasons to come ). suMqR4zzlso

Here's a simple question I have, as it bears some importance with a small portion of the backstory I've been gravitating towards: How much effect do the seasons hold upon Eorzea? When Winter falls, what areas would be blanketed in snow or even feel its touch? Perhaps more specifically, is there anything to suggest how Mor Dhona might be affected by Winter? I would personally imagine that accompanied by the barren landscape and the presence of a large body of water, it could be possible, though without having quested there I want to hear from someone else.

Entirely new to Final Fantasy, Rper for some years.
Dreams of Priapia replied to LadySaya's topic in Welcome Desk
Hey there! As someone who is also brand new to Final Fantasy and the game itself, I'm not sure how helpful I can be towards some of these questions but what I can do is offer you a welcome and offer what I've gathered in my extremely limited time here. 1. Absolutely yes, there are! It is my understanding that there are many larger RP communities held in the Linkshells, which function similarly to a chat channel that from what I've seen here generally coordinates events and roleplay with eachother. The cool part is that you can join several of these at the same time, granting you further access towards whatever communities you wish to be a part of. As for the concept of guilds, those are most fulfilled by Free Companies, which have your traditional structure and membership and all that stuff which should be familiar from other MMOs. I've obviously not got a whole lot of experience with any of this, so I could be mistaken, but that is what I know thus far. The great part about HRC (this website) is that all these RP communities come together here, as you can see in the forums and up above where they have all the Linkshells and FCs listed, you can therefore browse around and see what's going on and what interests you. 2. I am also absolutely new to the lore, and entirely new to Final Fantasy, but in my first three days with the game, I've been astounded by how smooth it is to learn your way around the world. That said, from what I have experienced, you'll probably want to go through leveling before delving in, simply because I've seen that the lore is gradually given to you through the questing in a very unique way. For instance, my short time roving around in Gridania on my Conjurer has given me a pretty good understanding of how their magic works and how people from that nation would likely behave, though there's also a great many things beyond Gridania that I'd like to know before I can fully delve into things. Luckily, the questing in Final Fantasy XIV is incredibly interesting in my opinion, and you'll quickly come to find the depth of the universe being given to you as you progress. 3. Take your time, enjoy the scenery, and the story will come to you. I've found this easy to do because everything is fresh for me as opposed to an MMO that I've played before, so maybe you can too. -
Am I a hipster meme yet?
