I'm not really able to type a whole lot currently because I'm off on a family visit, but when I can get back to my apartment, we can hash out some details. ...I also don't have the admin credentials to make any changes while away. We keep those locked down. I will say there had previously been separate event/directory boards for Gilgamesh back in the day. They were later merged in to consolidate boards which was supposed to reduce the number of clicks users needed to get to content. I know a lot of people will say "but there's so much Balmung my post will be lost" but at the same time, not posting it at all is worse. I can get a Mateus tag added in once I'm back and as part of our planned forum upgrades (see announcements board) there will be better tagging/searching/filtering. The biggest thing I can recommend for people to do now is to advertise their servers and make them feel welcoming to incoming people! Having RPC tell people where to go will basically be like sending a box of wallflowers. OR their interest will dwindle. It is -really- hard to build up an additional place. This is a [forced by SE] perfect opportunity for growth. I will get in touch with you, asap regarding this. I also updated the RPC Of Mateus on the current situation. There is some folks seeming glad to hear this and I'll keep them up to date. Understandable! I just know right now I can't turn my back on this and I'm glad I got the framework going before this has taken place. I know the current LS (the last I looked before I went on vacation), we had around 90-95 members that are non-alt. We have around 20-25 characters that are in the alt linkshell. This is not counting the folks who did leave to try and carve their own path or those looking for the RPC on Mateus, unaware of how to contact or who.

Now that I have had decent sleep and my head is more screwed on solid, and skimming over some posts (including one good ol' Kylin wrote). So, lets get to this, as I am the one who started the growth on Mateus to get it to be the sister to Balmung, I feel it is also my job to speak for it a bit (since most of the members there for.. some reason.. don't want to come here *shrugs!*) Kylin is correct. Mateus has a great deal of potential to become something AMAZING. We do have an active community here, but as of recent times (and why I went on my vacation), we have an issue where this... Large group of individuals (Not going to say names) are very entwined into their own little spot and due to the small nature of the RP community right now, this is effecting those that are not in this circle. As the one in charge, I voice time and time again that my officers need to do more world RP and actually go out and do things, however, they seem very convinced to remain in that circle and some of my own officers have been pulled into this little group-- which makes matters WORSE. :frustrated: In turn, the person in charge of its creation, me, has also been placed outside this group and I'm the only one seeing to the needs of the folks also outside this group, which is almost near impossible for one person to do. We DO have the people here, but we, no, I, could desperately use some folks to help round up these folks, have a larger means to post events, and read far broader out than the RPC LS which has now becoming, slowly, its own cesspool. Which I turn to now the Hydaelyn forums here and ask, how difficult would it be to add a Mateus board sections? A place to help traffic information and events away from the singular LS, so more LSes can form and as Kylin pointed out, more events can happen? Because, this is what we need more than ever right now... If I could get this corporation, we could probably then get the tree to really start growing and then have Balmung truly have a little sister. If this continued growth is successful, this will probably take pressure off of Balmung and should, hopefully, one day allow her to reopen her gates. That also said, the new LSes and free companies would not need to adhere to the rules of the Mateus RPC, make their own rules, and we can then drop the linkshell post for the RPC and allow the community to grow in its different branches. This is something I'd love to see more than ever and right now, is the best time for this. I want to see that growth, the changing winds, and new communities spring up with their own ideals. RPC on Mateus did its job-- now I ask for the aid of big sister, my former beloved home, to help grow that out even more.

They've been telling us to not transfer to fill world's for a really long time. They just weren't actually enforcing their words. It sucks, but this is also the perfect chance to foster some larger RP communities on other servers. (I can almost hear Mateus server people screaming!) And why would we be screaming? Just curious actually. I don't think there was aggression intended here. I think Merc meant like, "Screaming in excitement," because there will be more people going to your server. At least, that's how I read the implication! I could be wrong. ^-^;; Yeah-- why I added my PS, cause I realized I probably was misreading. It is late. I'm tired. I feel shitty this is happening to Balmung at the same time--- Having to deal with growing pain issues on the RPC which has me grinding my teeth. Combine it all together and you got rawr Xaela!

Just curious actually. Given the reason I generated the RPC on Mateus was to actually prepare for this very thing. To grow a location that was extremely low pop to help bleed off what was going to be Balmung (formly Besaid) mass size being locked. I can't help but since a little aggression from that, though I do know some people on Mateus have not been very.... well behaved. Though such behavior is out of my hands, sadly. Given there is now a growing mix culture on the server.. And even I plan to step away from the RPC I started and formulate something else to continue to foster some growth. Edit Note: You guys can either help with this or not. Maybe even look at other low pop servers, but I was part of the team that helped make Balmung what it is today and back then-- we never dreamed it would get this large. Hey there! I don't think we will ever get that large, honestly, but we are moving on up! I think we have around 80-90 individual people (not counting alts), and rock around 20-25 people on about any given time (except for very late evenings). I will say that Mist is actually filling up as housing goes, but still room in Beds and Goblet. Its actually been pretty nice, overall with rp sometimes happening in the world and other times, in the private housing wards. I look forward to when you can come join us.

Thank you! As Kylin wrote above, we are growing strong and we keep growing. And we do have all types of events. Some serious rp events, other more silly, zany stuff. I have no idea what is up with the scene on Leviathan, but I do wish you best of luck with your search, and hope you can find something. If you don't however and have to transfer (or make a new character), I can suggest two servers that you can investigate for free, which being Mateus and Siren, and if you don't care paying--- Then there is the granddaddy of them all, Balmung. If you do come to Mateus, please feel free to look me up or any of or Linkshell leaders listed in the Linkshell "Others" tab, as we will be glad to get you into the RP community Linkshell there. Sadly I have to agree with some here, Cerberus RP is kind of a dead scene. Its a wonderful server last I was there, but the RP is-- either very well hidden or just no longer there. I would suggest though, if you haven't gotten any further to maybe either check out the Mateus server or Siren, as we both are growing RP communities that don't require transfer costs to come check out. Balmung though has the largest RP community, but requires transfer in order to look it over. Just remember that if you do plan to transfer, you have options, and if you do decide to check out Mateus, please let me know or check out our thread on the Linkshell section under "Other". You can even get in touch with one of the other linkshell holders to get in.

We are still continuing to grow on Mateus server, as we now have up to nearly 70 members in our LS. We have 3 Free Companies now listed here on the Hydaelyn forums. Come and visit us, check us out, and help grow an RP community on vastly improving low pop server.

Hey there! We would be glad to have you (and your friends) here with us! We have a very open, friendly community, and we do have at least 2-3 RP FCs established, with possibly a few more in the works. As for the housing goes, there is no worries on not having a chance to get a house. Though we are trying to get Ward 9 in Lavender Beds to be an RP hotspot, there are tons of open wards with housing accessibility. Getting one (or even two) won't be a problem! Let us know who your character(s) are, so I can notify a group to keep an eye out for you and if you have Discord, we have a Discord group which I'll be glad to hook you up with! As for clicks, we try to keep that down and make sure everyone is welcomed. While we can't always guarantee that is the case, we do try to include everyone in everything. People are, however, people, and we can't always dictate over what people will do. Though from my own experience, we really don't have it here. Everyone is friendly, open, and while we do sometimes have our little growing pains, for the most part, everyone keeps marching along and having fun. Legacy Of Heroes is a mercenary organization working to help defeat the tides of darkness, push back against the Primal threat, and stand firm for the whole world at large. They are housed within the golden sands of Ul'dah and backed by the very Syndicate of Ul'dah, along with others willing to fill their coffers to fund their conquest. Though in the shadows of what seems to be a noble goal, hides a far darker plot. Members seem to be selected by an unknown means and they work with near military precious once on the field of battle. Whatever secrets they do hold, whatever their true cause is, none can deny that they are aiding against the primal threats and keeping Beast Men at bay, but at what cost will it all come at the end? Members within the Legacy Of Heroes are not above aiding the Eorzeans and Ishgardians in their plight, they are willing to lend their swords, weapons, and military knowledge to assist in conflicts dealing with Primals, Beast Men, Dragons, and threats of Bandits and Curs. Though no member has ever been seen taking on Garlean Forces, saying that such is not worth their time. They are willing to work with other Free Companies on missions, along with other organizations, so long as the pay is worth their blades and sometimes, they will even aid for free; No charge at all. There is a hidden depth within the Legacy Of Heroes however. This information is confidential and we ask that if you are interested in joining, that you understand that the information shared is meta and not to be known icly, unless you are a member of the organization; As it would be connected to your character's own background. As such, the Legacy Of Heroes is more aimed at those wishing to create new characters or people who are not sure what they want to do with their current characters. Further Free Companies or other organizations who are in the defense of military, the Grand Companies, and fighting Garlean Forces may also wish to speak with us, as we may be able to provide an interesting story tie and possible antagonists for such groups, but once more further clarification to what this is, is confidential oocly and to be understand as meta knowledge in conversations.

Added in a Roleplay Housing Director to the main post. This is a work in progress and will be updated shortly once I'm able to get a compiled list of known Roleplay Housings (and locations).

Planing to xfer my main character when I get the funds and return to the game. So it'd be a smithy mainly. Though she got dragged on the damnest of adventures.. ranged from pirates to a knight themed origination and at some point or another being a mrd trainer x.x I removed all of that from her wiki with the intent of a clean slate with the server switch as any contacts wouldn't be on the server anyway(not that any of them are active anymore). I tend to stick to my commoner type and straying away from heroes so the character is more of a support character to other stories even if she has her own. I can toss you a message for more information if you need it. I have it on a note pad till I finish coding out her wiki page. *thumbs up* And nothing wrong with that! Everyone has their own style of rp and their own ideas for a character. That is what makes interacting with all these different types of characters fascinating. Including the open chance to change views or opinions on things. But yeah, I'll toss you a PM a bit later. ^^
