Nerashi Qalli Posted April 24, 2015 Share #1 Posted April 24, 2015 Hello there, everyone! My name's Kelly, though the internet tends to call me Kelz or Kaelryn. My character on FFXIV, however, is called Raiya, an adorable little Miqo'te. I'm actually completely new to FFXIV, as well as Final Fantasy in general. I am not, however, new to RP and am looking forward to learning to lore and getting to know all of you! I have previous RP experience on Guild Wars 2, as well as on various RP forums and chat rooms. Feel free to shoot me a friend request or messages in game - I'd love to make some friends as I'm getting started! Link to comment

Well, Raiya is a Miqo'te Archer and... That's about all I know about her. I'm currently reading into the lore a bit to learn a bit more about the world and the race. Link to comment

Nerashi Qalli Posted April 24, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted April 24, 2015 Hello there! Welcome to the RPC! If you've got any questions on gameplay, RP in general, lore, etc, please ask away! I promise we're all mostly friendly most of the time! Thank you, thank you! I will likely be poking about on here for a while to get a feel for it all~ Are there any RP hubs in game that people tend to hang out around? Link to comment
Guest Ragnar Posted April 24, 2015 Share #6 Posted April 24, 2015 Ul'dah and the Quicksand in particular are popular. I've been away from the game for a little while, so I'm not sure where else is popular these days, but I've heard Gridania is pretty popular too. Link to comment

Faye Posted April 24, 2015 Share #8 Posted April 24, 2015 Hello, Kelly, welcome to Balmung and the RPC! This was my first FF game, as well! Link to comment
Nebbs Posted April 24, 2015 Share #9 Posted April 24, 2015 Welcome to the server, my first FF too. You should fit right in with RPs. The FF lore is out there and quirky (that my view as it seems to only loosely associate across the various games). The good news is following the main story etc.. will introduce you to things, and there are pockets of lore on the interwebs. Check out the Linkshell tab above, there you will find Linkshells (chat groups) and Free Companies (guilds) some of which will likely take your fancy. Add to that the events calender and you should be good to get connected. Fell free to ask for connections and help as that seems to work okay. Or frequent the RP hubs others mentions for a diverse set of RP opportunities. Enjoy, it is a beautiful game and the RP crowd here is alive and great. Link to comment
Kellach Woods Posted April 24, 2015 Share #10 Posted April 24, 2015 Greetings. You will find your typical warm welcomings here. Do not be afraid or hesitate to poke anyone in this thread (or who posts anywhere else on the forum) if you see 'em in game if you want to get random RP started. Link to comment
Cliodhna Eoghan Posted April 24, 2015 Share #11 Posted April 24, 2015 hihi :3 if you happen to see me run by at any point gimme a poke if you need anything. if you're interested in open rp; check out the event thread and calendar as well. a looooot of free companies/people put on events that are open to go to. some are nearby, some in other areas that might need a specific level requirement to uh...not get eaten on the way (but people usually are more than willing to escort lower level players and kill anything that looks at them funny! ) and a quite a few free company events are hosted out of their home in one of the housing districts (flower beds, mist or the goblet) as they rp their fc home as a inn/bar/bath-house ect ect. if you see one that sparks your interest but have questions about the event; feel free to post in their thread! :3 Link to comment

Have you decided if you're a Keeper or a Seeker yet? Depending upon how much you want to wing things, that could determine where she is from, and something about her nature as well! As has already been mentioned the busiest city-center for RP is Ul'dah, and the Quick Sand is an obvious hub, but RP can be found in many places. Link to comment

That's what I said during creation and, as I slowly start to delve into lore and her character, I'm feeling more and more okay with that decision! Link to comment
