I just said fuck it and started RPing in Bronze Lake.

Y'all can do that too.

I RPed in the Canopy once, and saw a group there too, RPing in /say. Dunno who they are.

I try role playing everywhere I can, just hard to role play alone in some places. :3

That it is, that it is!

I hardly ever Roleplay at Ul'dah ever since launch really.

I think I only ever roleplayed in that area 3 times, one of those times being because of an event my FC held. Its not that I dislike the place, its just I have no reason to be there ICly. It is true I have seen a thread like this a couple of times but sometimes you just got to be persistent. I can be found at Limsa Lominsa, or anywhere in La Noscea regularly so I'm game for more RP Hubs! I assume people do go check out for other spots only to contemplate, " Maybe I should just go to Ul'dah to find some RP since none can be found here. " But that can change of course, just gotta avoid the current norm!

RP outside of housing and Ul'dah would be great. Almost everyone says that, but then few of them actually go out and do it. But as your own post in my thread was evidence of, there are times when certain individuals can find spontaneous RP elsewhere an unwelcome sight. Folks likely avoid it for that reason.

^^ hence im trying to organise a small event that spans all over Gridania for people to just, bring their friends and enjoy the beauty of the township.

The Drowning Wench occasionally has people sitting around and RPing openly, would definitely be nice to see more of that.

I also use the Missing Member as a hub for myself and a lot of the people I RP with. I'd love to see other people hanging out there too. Just remember: no boys allowed. :P

Sadly the Quicksand is the only place anywhere on this server I've seen any sort of roleplay.  I tend to sit awhile and just watch all of the conversations.  I myself am too shy to just walk up to anyone, which I desperately need to change.

What I think needs to be done is to show those who are shy/afraid that there is no harm in walking up.  Events are ok but 90% of the time you're alone anyway and people are focused on their own thing so you're excluded no matter what.  It's depressing really.  Even trying to interact most of the time ends up with your character not being noticed.

I'm just rambling, please don't mind me.  Going back to my corner now.

I've been doing this a lot too lately :/ well, honestly ever since I left another game where I ended up running into a rather uncomfortable situation RP wise... Which has left me very hesitant in involving myself. I just go to the Quicksand and sorta just watch things.

Ask folks who have frequently roleplayed or currently do roleplay in Limsa, La Noscea, Gridania, or the Shroud about their experiences. You'll be surprised. They're either already there roleplaying (be it in public or private, regardless of how frequent) or they've decided they'd rather not bother.

Already RPing in Limsa along with most of my FC and we've come across some random RP both there and in La Noscea. Although I'm sure it's less than we'd find in Ul'dah, it doesn't make sense IC for us to spend a lot of time in Ul'dah.

We have a casual meet up every Monday in the Missing Member that's open to the public and also run the Sunny Seaside Bar if anyone's looking for more Limsan RP. :)

I've been on this quest for months now. My characters rarely leave the Twelveswood, occasionally stopping through La Noscea with very rare walks through the Thanalan outskirts. They just really have no reason to be in the desert 99% of the time.

I usually don't have trouble bringing people to my preferred spots, either, but I wouldn't mind seeing a few more here and there. Who wouldn't?

I've been bad about RPing outside of my FC house and its IC LS these days, unless I'm meeting someone -- though, really, unless I'm off in some weird place in party, feel free to chat at me IC or OOC out in the field! So, yes, I should really be helping out and making more of an effort to RP in other locales. I think the idea of casual meet-ups by FCs that are open to everyone is solid. I might poke in the Tower and see if we can arrange something like that, perhaps in the Gridania area.

But, again, unless I'm in a weird part of a zone in party chat, consider L'yhta fair game to talk to. I actually consider it a worthy challenge to respond to and integrate random walk-up RP (it's a good test of improvisational skills), so don't be shy. If you are shy, you can even drop me an OOC tell first. :)
