In Celebration of the Builder

ZKgwbAn.png

One and all is invited to come give thanks and hear inspirational words in regards to Byregot.

Byregot, purveyor of architecture and industry and god of the arts, commands the element of lightning and is tied to the Fourth Astral Moon (seventh month). Byregot is depicted as an ardent smith holding a two-headed hammer, and his symbol is the hand. Byregot is also Thaliak's pupil.

Event starts at Camp Tranquil in South Shroud (X:17 Y:28) on Saturday July 25th at 4:00PM Eastern EDT (Time Converter).

For Pilgrims:

During the performance, pilgrims are asked to be silent in the public channels. Emotes with /em, /say, and /yell are asked to be held off until the main performance is over.

Animation and sound emotes are welcomed! Please just turn the text off on them during the performance.

In lieu of reacting in /em and /say, pilgrims are encouraged to form parties with their friends and groups to react to each other in /p - that should help with the text bloat and keep the reactions more personal and immersed with the main people pilgrims want to interact with.

Anyone willing to host a "during performance" party for those who come on their own please contact me so I can find you at the event start and get people together to interact and meet. If a group of friends has room in their party and wouldn't mind hosting a new addition, that would be wonderful too. We'll sort it out at the start of the event.

After the performance, everyone is welcome to use /em and /say and can change parties as wanted.

Music and stories from some special guest speakers and bards will highlight the evening. After the presentation, everyone is encouraged to mingle, give prayers and thoughts, or partake in the smaller congregations.

Blessings and wisdom will be given to those who wish in attendance.

Entire main event is planned to last a hour with hosts staying around afterwards for free-form role play.

~While this is a pilgrimage in celebration of one of the Twelve, really would like to express the theme and environment of this event is to come together and have an inspiration evening for each other and on reflection. This night will not have strong overtones of worship and ceremony.~

I do! Including other possible spoilers. Lalalala

There's still room if anyone is devoted to Byregot, an avid crafter, an artist (bards) that would like to share words/poetry/story/song about how the Builder has impacted their life or inspired them please feel free to PM me your basic idea and I will do what I can to help make it happen.

I hope  to have Franz there lurking around like usual.

...work has me on-call that week, sadly

Booo work :x but a lurking presence is always welcome.

As always, we will lend what support we can!

And big thank you to you and Arrelaine to always putting up with my short notice.  The trip is short and pretty safe, but surely there are some light of foot in the soft ground and swampy area. There are a few aggressive birds that linger nearby to keep an eye on.

i want  to volunteer as a Guard for the event.

I'll touch base with you online with the details. Mostly it's for show; some help latecomers find groups for RP.

If I don't have to work that Saturday, I might bring John in as he can see knowledge being tied into building and arts.

Very much so considering Byregot's tie to the Scholar! Always nice to have you along ^_^

There's still an opening if anyone else wants to speak to all the pilgrims (aka perform). I'll check in online as well and spread the word.

I'll go~ While it makes sense to go as Jana and guard, it might not be a bad idea to bring out my Gridania-based alt... I'll think about it!

Whichever is more fun! Any level will be able to make it there with relative ease and I'll be checking around if anyone needs the crystal for teleport.

anyways what time do you want the guards to show up.

You can show up at the regular time.

This is right up my alley.  Looking forward to it!  I might even be able to bring an entourage.

Very exciting!  The event is really geared to bringing friends because the bulk of the role play is personal in party while listening so the text isn't flying by for everyone.

But if anyone can't make it or others come solo we'll be grouping people together beforehand and some of the guards are queue'd to help new arrivals quietly find some people to role play with there.

Went ahead and put in for that day off but won't make promise, since it is kind of close to the cut off point about time off request and we have a new Front end Manager (who I will finally get to meet this coming week).  Cross your fingers and pray to the 12, just in case.

Still hoping Master John can make it.  I don't think we'll be able to get into it, but Jancis will definitely have a caring eye for the healer after what happened the past week and what was overheard outside of Ul'dah!

ohhh marshy area, i'll have to wear boots o3o

... Yes! A good call, even though it'll be a hot summer day just consider where we'll be. Sloshy swamp. ^_^ ... thigh high... may.. *faints* :dazed:

=================

Bulletin Post has been put up for IC reasons to come!

News has spread around the crafting halls and market booths that sell handmade goods.

Pilgrims walking through towards Gridania with purple scarves.

Music and other artistic displays through the night.

Crafters: Any and all, chefs, carpenters, smiths, alchemists, masons

Artists: Any and all, bards, painters, sculptors

Guards: Always welcome to help out those who cannot defend themselves. Or can, but want to put their own guard down to observe and celebrate.

Close to Thaliak: Byregot being his pupil a lot of knowledge and wisdom is applied into crafts and building.

Close to Halone: Being the elder brother to, the Builder has a side of discipline and perseverance, the strength behind the battle.

Peer Pressure: Being bribed, blackmailed, lured with cake and candy, made to promise, be a huffy unhappy listener.

If anyone else needs an excuse to go please share and make it happen.

Thank you for hosting such a wonderful event! I will be there and it will be my first RP event to witness on Balmung. It looks as if it will be wonderful!

: D

 Thank you; no pressure!

Very happy for this one it should be a bit more intimate with the kind of 'following' Byregot gets.

Going to be checking around in my linkshells for lower level characters that need the Camp Tranquil aetheryte. Any character from Gridania or Ul'dah can make it there. Limsa needs to be 15 at least to get off the isle (or have a FC in the Goblet or Lavender Beds)

Yep, John will be there, got the whole day off.  And if you seen the plot that I've set up in Healer's and Fighter's storylines, he's going to need all the friends and help he can get.  Also John will come bearing a gift for Jancis, for all the hard work she puts into the event and also to make up for coming to the Thaliak one while still sick.  He also will have his camera with him so he's going to take a lot of pictures, in hope that he is able to mend his friendship with Howl, and will be able to show them to him.

Wonderful turn out and people who came for the celebration with Byregot!

Big thank you to everyone who shared stories and inspirational words: Chachanji, Otto, Tausen, Dogberry, Ciel!

Thanks to all the Guards they looked wonderful keeping the perimeter and standing with the crowd and watching from the stage it looked so nice.

And everyone afterwards who stayed around to talk! Even ended up lasting about four hours. I saw a lot of people describe what they painted on the mural... I'm a bit terrified at taking up such a project but hey we'll see.

It's all interpretive anyway >_> I'm not an artist!

A package arrive to Jancis.  Inside is a small book that has a small selection of photos.  Under the book is a note in clean elegant handwriting.

Dear Jancis,

I hope this package find you well.  I took the best pictures and place them in a book for you to look at.  With my ability, I know that I can see the person memories and the emotion that colors them.  Since I haven't found anyone that can do the same, my photography is my way to share my memories with others.  I know that they don't have the emotional impact that I can experience but I hope that they will give you an idea on the joy that not only myself but also what might have been experience by those around me.

I will warn you that Sam, I mean, Captain Robinton used my camera as well.  I think they came out ok though he said that he had no idea what he was doing with the camera to begin with.  I look forward to being well when the Thaliak celebration takes place.

May Thaliak's grace and wisdom guide you,

John Waterstrike
