Interesting Tidbits!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I was curious, what are some interesting tidbits about your characters?

Do they hate Chigoe? why? Do they have a crippling fear of roast popotos?

For instance.

Gin has an unhealthy obsession for ears. Fluffy, long, non-hyurian ears are the best. She often is dragged off people for moving to assault their heads. (Not a sexual obsession.)

Jerciex likes smells/scents.. like smell of forest, grass, trees, flowers etc. oh and there is couple girls whose scent/parfum he finds intriguing *coughs nervously*

But yeah.. if he is stressed he likes to remember different smells with good memories.

PS. He doesn't have great sense of smell.. it is not like he has extra-ordinary sense.. Very avarage one.

Blue has no balance whatsoever, or comprehension of it. Her attempt to move from a quay to a boat was something similar as this (skip to minute 1:00)

She does not understand how gravity center works, and when someone tried to take her hand to lead her somewhere, she stared at her hand being pulled, followed by her arm, then her shoulder, and lastly her torso, until she fell on her face like a wooden board, as if her feet were glued to the floor.

Everyone in her adventuring party loves to make fun of it/express concern about it, as even the easiest acrobatic feat (really, anything more complex than walking up or down a staircase) often result in Blue face-firsting to the floor.

Being picked up.

No really. Septhaja is a small person (4ft 9) with a love of heights, which has oddly included being picked up by anyone tall. Even being lifted just inches off the ground give the lass a sense of wonder. She will not admit such a thing however, since it's an odd quirk.

Graeham has quite quickly found that he has a weakness for gaelicats. He was in complete awe upon first arriving in the Sea of Clouds and then he heard a soft meow. He went to investigate and found a wounded gaelikitten which he nursed back to health and brought back to his place of residence (much to the amusement and delight of his comrades in arms).

Jade has an obsession with green stones (thus, he chose Jade as his new first name) but if something has a green stone he WILL steal it. He's most at home in high places.

Nekhii thinks Lalafells are creepy, he's obsessed with Ishgardian food and wants to learn how to cook it.

Klynzahr's nose has been broken seven times. The first was in a childhood scuffle, the second was a sparring accident, the third was for teasing her brother once too often, the fourth was from a loose stay snapping across her face, the fifth was for crossing the wrong brass blade, the sixth was Eva throwing a political textbook at her, and the last time was in the grindstone.

At this point she can't really breathe through her nose anymore and has no sense of smell. 8-)

Ummm here are a few.

Evangeline's favorite animal is the spider. She has a pet giant Desert Tarantula named Salisbury, that a friend is looking after. While she rather likes all spiders, she likes the furry ones the most.

R'elend was one of a few unlucky Brass Blades present at the battle of Carteneau. He then spent four years in the desert battling beastmen and Garleans. He gets rather annoyed when anyone speaks poorly of the Blades martial prowess.

Eligor is obsessed with tails because he does not have one.

He has been so conditioned to kill to survive that he gets both physically and mentally restless if he doesnt fight or kill for an extended amount of time. The longer it goes on the more unstable he becomes.

He is actually a great singer. This is due to his childhood.

He has ZERO patience for making pastries, as he feels the work involved does not properly match the reward.

He cannot be possessed.

He is not capable of placing value on life in the sense that he will not kill a "monster" to save a "person". He does not believe that life has more or less value than another thing because of what form it happens to take.

Aaron checks out girls like non stop, he's just never been caught checking said girls out because he doesn't make it noticeable. But every now and then he'll stare a little too long and get sidetracked.

He's not emotional or depressed, he just doesn't show a lot of strong emotions outside of annoyance or sarcasm.

Oh and if he finds a girl attractive he has no qualms with them touching him (even if he doesn't touch back or give them that wtf stare) but if he doesn't find them attractive or if it's a guy he will subtly and convueniently move away from the attempted touch if it gives off a flirting vibe.

Also he is a terrific clean freak. Might as well be a maid with how much he hates dirty things.

Asmodean's scared right eye wasn't originally the yellow-gold it is now.  It's a wound from the Calamity with it and the scar are the only things he lets other see.

He carries a Warrior soulstone pass down his mother's side of the family but he has little to nothing about that side of his family. He also carries a locket, a sliver sword and a tome that turned out to be a journal for his mother's.

Asmodean is a skilled player of the piano. He just never really has a chance to play anymore.

Unlikely as it might seem for the wandering mercenary, he quite embarrassed about his body. While others seem to show off scars with pride, Asmodean keeps his hidden and out of sight. The worst being his chest nearly bone deep unhealing aetheric scars which are also from the Calamity.

Virara is not missing an eye. The eye patch is worn as a kind of personal custom. However, she does have slight heterochromia, due to some minor damage to it during training, that leaves one eye permanently dilated. That eye lies hidden under the patch, so most people never see it.

Virara has a profound love of vilekin/bugs and is surprisingly knowledgeable about them, given her general disinterest in anything that doesn't involve training. She loves beetles especially.

Although she has a quiet and smooth voice, Virara cannot sing even when instructed properly.

When she is agitated, Virara tends to find a small place to be alone in like a barrel or cupboard, or find the highest place to stand upon, like the roof.

A'kos has a great love of pina coladas since coming to Limsa Lominsa. He's never had the like before, but otherwise doesn't like to drink alcohol for reasons he won't talk about. This might be the only drink he can make, but he makes it damn good.

He also has a false magitek eye, it functions very well but without much in the way of optional extras, but he couldn't afford a proper match and so looks like he has hetrochromia. The looks normal to anyone who sees it unless they know what to look for and have experience with a magitek prosthetic.

Altan suffers from thalassophobia (fear of the ocean/deep, open water) and as such can be anxious if he's on a boat. He hates that he has this fear and, try as he might, it never seems to go away.

Evelynn detests all forms of alcohol except for wine, and the only wines she likes are the oldest, most expensive kinds. If the price is high enough the flavour doesn't matter, because fine wines remind her of home.

Baatu is color blind

He has a love of dodo burgers

He often acts innocent but that is just because of his lack of Eorzean euphemisms.

Has an irrational fear of Miqo'te and other fluffy things, he dislikes the feel of fur and much prefers scaley things.

Really wants a drake to ride into battle :3

Eleni has an obsession with chocobos and moogles. If she finds one, she will pet and hug them. A bit too much. Which is why many delivery moogles run or hide upon seeing her.

She also loathes King Elmer from the Saucer, because she just can't beat him in a game of Triple Triad. And he shows off too much for his own good.

Few unfortunate souls can also confirm on her being very impulsive and extremely quick to anger.

She's also very intolerant to alcohol. Gets drunk quickly and easily.

L'yhta is seemingly incapable of cleaning up after herself. If not for the people in her life assisting in that regard, her apartment and anywhere else she stays would be a disaster area.

She's reasonably good at dancing due to her sometimes interesting magical training, but she doesn't do it much, if at all, any more.

While she can follow explicit instructions about how to cook something if someone's already prepared it for her, she doesn't have a good sense for spices or temperature and tends to incinerate over-spiced food if she has to cook ("But, if it's hotter, it cooks faster, right? So! Hotter is better!"). Baking, naturally, is impossible, unless you want a Giant Blob of Doom from failing to put salt in a dough or a dry chocolate discus pretending to be a cake.

She has an intuitive eye for geometry and has been known draw perfect squares and circles freehand and to measure angles and lengths by sight with remarkable accuracy.

Hammer physically cringes when he hears the sound "Squerk!".  No one knows why.

Hammer's habit of stealing knives from people, living or dead, is a leftover from his time as a war-brat 'cleaning' battlefields of scrap metal and jewelry before the proper authorities showed up.

Spit and touch iron seems to be Hammer's solution to most supersition, curses, hexes, and other things from the metaphysical, magical beyond.  Well.  That and punching it in the face.
