Sukaaretto Ueno Posted February 11, 2016 Author Share #101 Posted February 11, 2016 Oops! I meant the lipstick, lol. Now I'm curious about how the Tease will apply. Each time I swatch Tart shadows they feel awfully chalky, like they wont apply well/pigmented. Then again, I really enjoy really pigmented shadows. >w<; Oooh no. I have the Tartelette 2 In Bloom and the mattes are REALLY pigmented. The only one I have trouble with is the shimmer in the bottom left corner, and it actually is really pretty, you just have to play with it. I did have that issue a bit with the Energy Noire palette, and with a few of the shadows from their Christmas limited edition set, but most of them are really good. Good to know! I'll have to swatch it next time I'm in Sephora. Lame about the Noire palette and Christmas colors tho. I hope you find someway to work with them. I mentioned a couple posts back about wanting to try out the shadow palettes from Melt, and that I couldn't decide which I wanted. Well... I bought them all(along with a lipstick) as an early birthday gift. They should get here tomorrow. >D I had the same "this feels hard and chalky" experience when I swatched at Sephora/Ulta. I think sometimes the palettes are really old and dried out. >.> Agreed. Unfortunately powders don't actually "last forever" - and more creamy the eyeshadows are I feel like the bigger the change in texture will be over time Link to comment
111 Posted February 11, 2016 Share #102 Posted February 11, 2016 So not makeup, but something related I am familiar with. For eyebrows, does everyone here use tweezers? These days I use eyebrow razors and I feel like they're a lot faster/less painful. I highly recommend them! Though Sukaaretto makes fun of me when I use them. I've used these! I really liked them - I don't know why I still use tweezers. Probably because I never think to go buy razors. I'm too set in my ways, even though my ways are bad. LOL. ok, i might borrow them then to see what the fuzz is about There is no fuzz, on your eyebrows at least. That's kind of the point 1 Link to comment

I actually get mine waxed and try to keep up with them with tweezers. If you handle the tweezers correctly, they don't actually hurt (but I know that's a pain). My biggest problem is that I have these huge, bushy brows (THANKS MOM'S SIDE OF THE FAMILY). I want to try brow stuff, but I feel like I either have the wrong color, or I'm doing something wrong. I'm thinking of picking up the L'Oreal brow thing they just came out, because it's apparently just like the Anastasia Brow Wiz. I have really pale skin under these dark (almost black) bushy brows. They're also really long. I've had eyebrow techs actually cut the hairs to make them lie in place before, but I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Link to comment

When I caved and bought the Tartelette 2, I was really surprised by how pigmented, creamy and blendable the mattes were (mattes are the ones I have trouble with, they tend to go blotchy on my eyes). I'm seriously thinking of selling my Lorac Pro Palette on Poshmark. >.> Link to comment
Sukaaretto Ueno Posted February 11, 2016 Author Share #105 Posted February 11, 2016 My Tartelette Tease is here from Sephora. Soooooooo cute. Ex-Girlfriend lipstick by Gwen Stefani is more sheer than I was expecting. but you like it? Actually thinking about getting that lipstick now that i've seen Tati wearing it.. Also for eyebrow pencil - try this! http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod12011193 It's the EXACTLY same thing as the ABH one. I went through probably like 3 of ABH ones and then moved on to this. Link to comment

D'ly Posted February 12, 2016 Share #107 Posted February 12, 2016 Totally agree with McBeef©. Eyebrow razors are amazing; a lot less harsh on my sensitive skin than using tweezers, tho I still use tweezers from time to time. The razors are quick to use and get pretty close to the skin. I have light brow hairs, so I'm not sure how well they word for people with thicker hairs. Still would recommend that people try them out. As for powdery shadows... ew in my experience. ; w ;' @LiadansWhisper I heard some good things about the Lorac Pro Palette. Did it not apply well? D: Link to comment

D: Let's see...the primer (and possibly the Pewter shade, I'm not sure) made the skin on my eyelids peel. The mattes don't blend well on my eyelids. I just...I keep trying to find reasons to use it, and it's consistently a pain. Link to comment

I usually use liquid foundation when I wear any foundation, but my skin's already kinda oily so it just feel gross and streaks a lot. I'm hoping powder will be better. Link to comment

D'ly Posted February 13, 2016 Share #120 Posted February 13, 2016 My Melt shadows and lipstick have arrived! + A + I did swatches for each one and so far I'm absolutely in love with the Love Sick stack. The Dark Matter and Radioactive stacks have awesome colors as well, though I am a bit iffy on how Radioactive applies. Though its very pigmented, when I run my finger across it the shadow becomes a little chunky. Hopefully it will be fine with brushes. For lipstick I got Dark Room, which is a little drying, but their lipsticks are ultra matte. Still, I was a bit nervous it was gunna be suuuuper drying(I've had that happen with other matte lipsticks, ew), but so far so good! And it smells amazing. @ w @ ♥ Link to comment
Sukaaretto Ueno Posted February 26, 2016 Author Share #121 Posted February 26, 2016 So...dry skin during winter yet oily skin during summer problems - does any of you use primers for foundation. If so what do you recommend???! My skin has been acting up and dry patches are very stubborn - living on the east coast west coast doesn't help either. :c I used loreal lumi true match foundation - which is one of the more hydrating foundtions i've never used but STILL - the patches will not go away. You exfoliate them away and they come back the next day  Also lipstick new find (actually not new, i've had it for a while but i just picked it up and started wearing it more and more recently!) - smashbox be legendary lipstick in primrose. It's a beautiful mauve pink color, very hydrating but pigmented. Wearing it today and have been in the past week!! It's the only smashbox lipstick I have tried but so far the experience is excellent  Link to comment
