...I'm curious about whether anyone has met RPers in more random or chance situations. I have a feeling most people will still say "through tavern RP" or "through public events". But like, has anyone met their RP friends in other ways? Maybe you accidentally left your RP tag on while doing content, and someone randomly started RPing with you? Or maybe you decided to try fishing for RP outside one of the capital cities and found someone who was doing the same?

I met Briar though you... I don't think I ever got the story how you two met. If I did I'll blame lack of sleep for forgetting @_@

I actually met an entire Free Company once when hosting an event for my own Free Company at a out of the area place. It was a fantastic situation as we were both utilizing the space and instead of fighting who'd use it we combined our events! You can see a bit of it here in this YouTube video (It was in Thanalan at the Worksite south of Forgotten Springs). It was such a memorable moment I'll never forget!

I don't venture out as much anymore. Have enough going on in the Fc to keep me busy for the time being. Someone has to heard the cats.. D;

I use to have a ton of rp outside of taverns and all. My previous character ended up leading a group of knights and we held events in various locations to play out the missions. If people wanted to hop in they were more then welcome and we'd work them into the story. ^^

I admit my current FC is working on a speak-easy of sorts.. but that's a cover building. More then likely we'll be all over the place once we finish getting things set up. Would be kind of boring to be pirates and never go anywhere.

Others in the fc just leave the RP tag on and sometimes stumbles on things that way. We use to rp with our neighbors before we moved to another ward for a larger building.

Yes, several times in Il Mheg and Rak'tika, and even once in Amaurot. As long as you keep your RP tag on, walk around and emote, people will notice and respond accordingly.
