I am glad I didn't stay up late checking and re-checking the launcher. I have to leave for work soon... would rather be able to start my DL so I am not obsessing all day at work!  Who am I kidding, I am still going to be obsessing all day regardless of whether or not I can start my download this morning.

Ok so from what i understand, people like me (Who are not in P4 and just wanted to download the game ready for open beta/early access) we can't actually download it.

 

I signed in and got this message

 

"There are no valid service accounts." this is because i haven't registered my pre-order code (Because i haven't been sent one 0.o) then i got this message "For all countries outside of Japan, registration of the pre-order bonus code is scheduled to begin on the 20th of August, 2013"

 

Which is after the open beta ends. so i have no idea what to do here.

It gave me the option to put in my preorder code I think.. I avoided it.. >_> Anyone else saw that?

 

Can you help a dumb newbie who just woke up and post a link to where you did that?

I can't it was in the launcher my friend, I'm sorry. I was skimming through the clicks and I saw something about registering a code (I could be wrong I skipped it really fast.) Trying to figure out someone who actually say that page and can tell me what it said actually. I personally don't think it is the pre order code input.. I believe that is on the 20th.

Huh, only 7300mb... guess people were right.

It was already said before that the whole 20gb requirement was just to leave room for future updates and such. Most games are not that big at launch, maybe 12gb tops. I'm sure there will be another update before the 24th that will increase the file size.

 

Thank god it finally went live though because it says it's going to take me roughly 12 hours to finish downloading :frustrated:

Had a bit of a account scare, but luckily it was a simple password change... now about an hour left to download.

 

 

Also, hopefully Desire makes one last check before leaving for work... would hate to hear that a minute difference resulted in missing starting the download until late tonight.

All I saw was where you put in the one time code from the authenticator if you have one of those.

 

As expected the download is going extremely slowly from so many people though.

Thank you for confirming that Dear. Sorry about that folks. I'm tired.. Been up since 5AM must have hallucinated that.

That is where you put in the authenticator code, I'm pretty sure.

Oh you saw that while I was writing this... quick... think of something else to put in this post...

Argh, rargh and other sounds symbolizing anger at how slow the download is and questioning why they would use direct transfer than rather torrenting it when that is both less efficient and more expensive for them!

 

Can relate to being tired, I didn't manage to sleep tonight. I am hyped up for this game even more than I thought, I suppose, because every time anything happens about it I lose sleep.

Edit: I think i saw the code thing you are talking about. Just before you start logging in and what not, there is a little link to that says input you xxxx code (for forget what type of code but I think I remember it being the activation code) for those who haven't linked a beta code to their account yet.

It is a bummer. :( How long do you have to wait to download it? I have roughly 400minutes.. So thats about 6 hours or so? Not bad.. I was expecting a overnight thing going on.

I have... 50 hours.

Hopefully it will pick up some momentum eventually, because there is really no excuse for it being that slow on my connection.
