Playing around with lighting and tons of trial and errors.

A lot of errors.

I'm not the greatest at taking screenshots, but I really like the expression that the new weapon stances maintain on the faces, so fierce!

Aah, well. . having Photoshop helps! Messing around with Curves, Brightness, Vibrance, Selective Color to start. I dodge and burn a lot, use Gaussian Blur ( my favorite )! I use a few layers and the blur tool for things I want to smooth a little. I also work with motion blur and textures.

Lighting is probably the most important factor for me, since my screens all look so dark.

Well, you certainly are a pro at this. The blue in his eyes is so much more noticeable. And I love the way the chainmaille pops and looks so much more metallic. Also the purple gem on his collar.
