Vinter Posted August 30, 2013 Share #31 Posted August 30, 2013 Personally I think the armor and clothing in XIV is fantastic. It strikes a perfect balance between realistic/practical and ornate. I especially like how female armour is actual armour in most cases. Unlike most other MMORPGs where female "armour" is a metal bikini with glowing spiked shoulderpads that shoot lava or something. I absolutely hate that kind of stuff. (Dragoon relic armour being an exception for all counts. They should have kept the XI style.) Link to comment

Well, I do love that top, more on males than on females ^^; (the female version looks like some sort of underwear, it's not very detailed). I like it when fashion for males isn't limited. I do know it's a level 50 Green item (Cannot be dyed) and CNJ / WHM can't use it (I cried a bit) Best part? I'm actually behind him, not in first person *Short Miqo* This is the Vanya robe. They actually have one for THM as well as one for CON. It is level 50 gear, and in 1.0 it was crafted. I have it in Purple: Link to comment

I generally like simpler designs, but I totally fell in love with the Infantry set. (Drops in Brayflox's Longstop) I've also taken up leatherworking in the hopes that I can one day make whatever this is that the guild head is wearing. Definitely one of my favs. Link to comment

I pretty much avoid games where practical armor on a dude turns into a bikini on my female toon. In FFXIV, I love that the skimpy armor on the girls is also the skimpy armor on the boys, for the most part. Equality! Link to comment

Still love the straw hat with the flower, wish there was a higher-level version. When I ran tam-tara the first time I was wearing the level 15 gathering dress and didnt even realize it until we were almost done. My group was that awesome. Link to comment
