This would be a very good idea, especially for the kneeling emote. I had similar thoughts when I tested the game, actually; I was hoping for the character to stay like that.

I was scared for a moment, as I don't understand the inches system. Luckily for me, running the creator in Japanese comes with heights in cms. I realize that my Miqo'te is very short *laughs*.

T-this is so much love ;_; If only their bodies weren't so huge... I managed to more or less find a look I like for my Miqo'te. She got a tan from living in the desert. I need help though. What colour would be best? One that blends with her hair, or a more noticeable tan? (>_<;

I can't wait to go home and try it out! Have new hairstyles been released with it? It was my biggest hope...

The fluffy animal raised its yellow head to return Alana’s glance with unblinking, crystalline eyes. Its beak opened, and the cutest cheep emerged from it. Then, the chocobo moved a bit closer, curious. Clover eventually approached Alana, placing herself at a certain distance of her side. It was sideways, but she took a moment to observe her expression; Alana seemed completely mesmerized by the chocobo, more than anyone the Gridanian girl had seen. A soft smile was drawn into her features as she turned her head to the animal again. The younger kids were nearby, trying to feed -without much luck- another chocobo who happened to have eaten just a minute ago. Having found this new distraction, at least they wouldn't bother Alana much for a moment. “I’ve heard that there are chocobos of different colours...” Clover commented. “Have you ever seen any of those?”

UWAAAAAAA, that pic looks so cute and professional!! Anime style is my absolute favourite style, and you're so good at it! This is a pleasant surprise ^^ I also love the way you designed your character, she looks very unique. Somehow, her colour scheme reminds me of a cream cake.

Thank you very much! /// A gyaru! Gyarus are so pretty (*___*) I'm glad to see more Japanese fashion lovers here! The first photo is a casual outfit, so that doesn't usually take me too long. When I go full Lolita as in the second photo, I can take nearly two hours to get ready, and I don't even use much makeup (because I don't know how. I fail like that). It's indeed a pain *laughs*.

Checking old screenshots from Phase 3. The waiting for the next beta feels endless! F'yue and Clover. And a pic of Clover I phoptoshopped for her wiki.
-
Time to add some photos of me as well! I'm a lolita (Japanese fashion), so please don't be scared *sweatdrops*.

Very interesting info, thank you for sharing! For a while I've been wondering if it was possible to play a character from the Garlean Empire, and somehow I'd assumed it was not. This opens up a bunch of new possibilities.
-
I'm really lost. You need a Key to play the open beta? ...As in the closed beta? EDIT: Never mind, my question seems to be answered in another thread. You need a code, but anyone who applies will apparently get it. That's good to know!

I. Basic Info Characters: Clover Blake (Midlander Hyur), K'mih Yohko (Seeker Miqo'te) Primary character: Clover Blake Linkshells: -- Primary RP linkshell: -- II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium to heavy, with predilection for the latter. Views on RP combat and injuries: A good combat is always exciting, so I'm up for anything that wouldn't involve killing or permanently scarring my characters (unless I decide so). Other than that, feel free to wound them as much as you want! ^^ Also, I believe in playing as reasonably as possible. This means I won't care about your level but about who your character is. My characters aren't especially strong. They might be able to defend themselves on some occasions, and be completely overpowered more often than not. I don't see how them reaching the max level ingame is going to change who they are, so if your character had a lower level but was ICly stronger, I'd respect that. The following is a real example I encountered in another server (none of the characters were mine). The player of a random 9 years old girl considered his character stronger than a 200+ years old High Commander who has participated in countless wars, simply because the High Commander's player lacked the time/will to level their characters as much as the 9 years old chara did. A character's level is a very OOC matter, completely unrelated to RP (more like they're opposite, for people who level fast spend less time RPing) and should not influence the character ICly. What matters to me is how strong the characters' experiences have made them. Views on IC romance: The emotions a character is able to develop for another one are very important. I believe that emotions (of any kind) are ultimately what move characters in any direction, what truly develops them. Love sure is a powerful emotion, so I'm up for it if it happens in a natural way. Just for the record, I don't pursue relationships for the sake of them, and my important characters will likely not engage in shallow ones either. If I suddenly felt some sort of strong chemistry between my character and another one, I'd RP accordingly. It doesn't matter if the feeling is mutual or if it's unrequited; so long as my characters feel a certain way, it'll be interesting for me to explore the resulting emotions. I don't believe this reminder is actually necessary, but just in case, let's remember that IC =/= OOC ^^ Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I already got that covered with my Miqo'te, and I must say I'm very excited to have found a family for her! I'm also up for characters to develop any sort of friendship, rivalry, hatred, or whatever it is that happens as the RP goes on. As I said, the emotions characters are able to experience are very important-- no; the most important to me. Views on lore: I try to follow it myself. I don't mind it if other people derail from it so long as it still makes sense within the lore boundaries. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): No idea, I haven't played the game yet and I don't know how those work ;w; I'll likely just adapt to whatever others tell me. I don't really mind, everyone is free to use the chat as they like! III. Other Info Country:Spain Timezone:GMT+1 / GMT + 2 Contact info: You can send me a PM in the forum if you ever need to contact me ^^ ~Special announcements can be found in the posts below~ I apologize for my English mistakes. I hope you'll still want to RP with me despite this *bows*.

Albeit Clover remained silent as they walked, she did notice how Alana had called her a friend. Not like that should have mattered much at that moment; it was just a manner of speaking, that much was clear. Clover might be no expert in friendships, but she figured they didn’t quite work like this. The noisy kids followed them all the way to the stables, apparently not too intimidated by the foreigner’s annoyance or the use of her giant stick. There was a small “ouch” from the little boy she poked, yet he made no attempt to stop following her. She was a very interesting Hyur, after all! They actually wanted to be her friends, in their weird, childish way. “Ohh, Alana has a very weird accent!” They exclaimed, deadly honest as kids always were. “She’s not from the city,” Clover intervened quickly, her tone slightly annoyed. “To her, you might the one who have weird accents”. That left the kids thinking. Thinking hard. And before they noticed, the cute cheep of precious chocobos could be heard from a near distance. The stables were right in front of them.

Dominance Challenges: Seeker Cultural Conflict Explored
Clover replied to Myxie Tryxle's topic in RP Discussion
Now that people have been working to get a real tribe running, this post comes in very handy! Thank you very much for sharing the information. I'm personally looking forward to see a Tia challenging any of our Nunhs, and the tension that might create. -
MY GOD, YES. I'm a screenshot freak and this game is already offering many possibilities for creating scenes with them. I'm so glad they'll even add this feature!

There it was again, that hint of eagerness in Alana’s words, in her eyes. Clover had been working in her parents’ shop for quite a while, she’d dealt with customers often, yet she had no memory of seeing anyone display that kind of interest for anything she’d ever shown them. “Just a b—“ she tried to answer Alana’s inquiry about how far the stables were, but her voice faded quickly when the other girl started walking to a nearby tree. A pair of confused eyes followed her movements, observing how the blonde grabbed a branch and started trying to break it. Her risky movements would likely make her kiss the ground as soon as the wood broke, what would that accomplish? “You’re going to—!“ It was the sound of the branch finally giving way what interrupted her sentence this time; there was nothing she could do to prevent the fall. Much to Clover’s surprise, she didn’t even have the time to walk closer and ask if Alana was alright when the girl hopped up on her own. The daring farmer didn’t look hurt; quite the contrary, she looked like she’d known what she was doing from the beginning. For a moment, Clover could only stare at her with unblinking eyes and slightly parted, silent lips, listening to her vow to keep her safe. It didn’t matter if what Alana was holding in her hand was a mere branch from an old and decrepit tree. It didn’t even matter if the trip to the stables would likely be a peaceful one, or if the girl confessed not to be very skilful yet. Alana looked strong. She was just a little girl like Clover herself, a little girl in a world at war. Yet she looked so strong. "......" Still at a loss of words, Clover’s silence lasted for a few more seconds when her gaze fell upon her new acquaintance’s pretty dress. The dust had been unforgiving. She didn’t comment on it, though; instead, her eyes returned to meet Alana’s. “...I think we should be safe,” she finally said, not raising her voice much. “So long as we don’t go out to the forest, we should be.” [...] The walking to the chocobo stables was more eventful than what Clover had initially planned. There might not have been bandits or monsters on the way, but a group of little Hyur kids, much younger than them, met the girls as they passed by and followed Alana with great interest. “You’re new! Are you here to play?” They asked cheerfully, not even waiting for an answer before more questions arose. “Where did you get that pretty dress? What’s your name? Where do you live?”

Ah, I didn't think my character's mother would be important, since she's just a random NPC. Her mother's name could be K'mihgazu (taken from the Japanese name creator *laughs*), and her hast name should be... uh... Haaz? Bashir? I wouldn't want to waste a hairstyle on her, so I won't give her any looks. As for K'mih (my chara), she's looking like this so far from the beta, but I *might* change her appearance. I'm still thinking about it. The only thing that will likely not change is her pink colour.

“Ah...” At Alana’s question, little Clover’s lips parted slightly. She seemed lost in thought for one, two seconds, pondering on the situation carefully. Granted, she’d been told to show the girl around, but were they still supposed to wander far away from the shop? She hadn’t been informed of how long their parents had planned to take with their business, thus she was unsure of how much time she should spend with her new acquaintance. It might just be a bad idea. However... Something else caught her attention, and it was strangely enough for her to reconsider her answer. Clover had perceived a hint of excitement on the otherwise silent girl. Perhaps taking her to see some chocobos would give her a good memory of Gridania; perhaps that’d make her smile... It was odd -Clover thought right after-, but she found herself wishing for that to happen. “We have a small chocobo stable here,” she finally nodded. “But it’s not very close to my parent’s shop. We’ll have to do some walking, if you’re up for it...” Just in case Alana had a better idea of how much time they could spend outside, Clover let her make the final decision.

Yes! Please join! We need Tias (*A*) My Miqo'te is supposed to be my alt as well, but I have the feeling I might end up playing her the most *amused*.

Thank you for opening this thread! I'll divide my reply in several points, as I think it's getting too long (^^; About my character's family. I just know that my Miqo'te's father was K'Yohko Nunh, and her mother is a random female Miqo'te NPC who won't have much importance (she'll be there, doing her Miqo'te things and giving my character some motherly advice). About her father, he can be dead, I don't mind. Unless you want another Nunh in the tribe other than your own character. His existence as an NPC could perhaps serve for any Tia player who wants to become a Nunh; they could always challenge / kill K'yohko and take his spot? About hipparion. Ummm... I personally find it logical to assume that they no longer exist for several reasons, but I wouldn't venture on matters that haven't been fully covered by the lore. It could cause conflict with other players who want to fill the holes with their own ideas. All we know for certain is that at least there isn't any in Eorzea (unless I misunderstood). I think I'll simply avoid talking much about hipparion ingame. About lancers. I had planned my character to be a marauder ;_; My idea was that this tribe could be famous for its spears users, which are the majority, but that not everyone uses that weapon.

Welcome! I hope you have a lot of fun here ^^ I'm also new to FFXIV and I know very little about the FF series in general, but I lack your courage to ask for a mentor, haha ;; Is your character the one from your avatar? He's so cute! Not many people make that kind of character in Western communities (sadly), so he's caught my attention.
-
A new thread might be a good idea ^^ It could contain all the info about the Tribe, as well as an invitation to anyone who wishes to join (we really need Tias!).

Clover before the Calamity: -As a kid, she just helped her parents in a vegetables and fruits store at Gridania. Nothing memorable. Clover after the Calamity: -She's been helping her grandpa with his magic shop in Limsa Lominsa. Even after her grandpa has died, Clover is still running the shop on her own. If any mage from Limsa Lominsa needs to do some shopping, they might have visited it.

*nods* Clover needs someone to make fun of. (TAT? Tias are my absolute favourite and they get much love from me. If my plate wasn't too full already, I'd make any Tia to challenge the current Nunh (and fail at it, but it'd be exciting regardless). As for the family tree, I think K'Nahli and K'mih had the same father but different mothers, so they were born at similar dates ^^ Also, I thought there could only be one Nunh per sub-tribe? We could always imagine that K'yohko was killed or severely wounded by K'araqi (I don't mind if he's dead), unless he's already planned who the Nunh he as supposed to dethrone was. Off I run!

Aaah, I'm getting very excited about this (*-*) Growly, it'd be awesome if you wanted to participate in this Tribe as well! I've seen your character around and I've regarded you as a very active Miqo'te expert. As for my Miqo'te, my guess is that she's 16, and definitely not ready for breeding yet *laughs*. I'm unsure, but I heard that Nunhs might not even last much, and that being defeated might also mean being killed. I could always imagine that my Miqo'te's father lasted just a few months (or a few weeks) as a Nunh. He's a random character who doesn't matter much anyway. Who would the current Nunh be, then? I think R'aqsha would be awesome, he even has a story of how he got there. I also love how he's planned many details about his Tribe. Naunet, could we include all his ideas in the K tribe as well? Meaning, perhaps not everyone would be good with spears (my chara will use an axe herself, for example), but there'd be an important number of Miqo'te NPCs who are, and the same applies to the female dancers. Would that work? I think it's great that we're discussing this matter now, before the game starts, so we can adapt all the ideas and find a setting that works for everyone ^^ (Edit: Now I can imagine my Miqo'te training to become a good dancer *amused*).
