  1. Some more screens I had pending from Nebula's wedding. K'mih and Nonopi are very happy with the dyeable Valentione set~
  2. I'd love to attend it, but I fear that the time won't be suitable for us EU players >_< (it wasn't the last year).
  3. This happened at Nebula's wedding... (In case anyone thinks that was part of the RP, it luckily wasn't ;; )
  4. K'mih was among the huntresses who gathered near the fire, at a certain distance from the Tia who dared to challenge the Nunh that night. A new life, some would say. And it was, but K'mih wanted to believe that the new land would know of no other Nunh than her father for several more years. Her mother was beside her, half a gentle smile drawn in her lips. "K'mih," the woman called her daughter softly, having noticed how tense the girl looked. "Who will your heart support in tonight's battle?" The surprise in K'mih's eyes betrayed her emotions, before she turned her head back to the front and lowered it. "I'm not ready... for a Nunh..." she confessed. Her mother nodded and turned her gaze to the brave Tia, still smiling. Perhaps it was her pride as one of K'yohko's companions what made her speak the next words, but she sounded certain of them. "K'ile is older and less experienced than K'yohko. If he is to become Nunh, it won't be tonight." As soon as the woman finished that sentence, the silent yet imposing presence of the Nunh caught the younger female's attention. Bicolour eyes glued themselves to him, unable to blink. She could barely breath at that moment. ======================= K'rahto tended to position himself away from the group, but not tonight. Tonight, he needed to watch closely. From his spot near the fire, he stared at K'ile as they all waited, arms crossed and darkened eyes. Whatever trick the man had prepared to obtain a victory against a younger and apparently stronger Nunh, he was eager to know.
  5. I don't age my characters in real time. That'd make no sense, considering I can be stuck in the same scene for weeks or even months. I might only age them if I consider that the story moved forward to that point, but the story has not, so both Clover and K'mih are the same age than the day they were created (18 and 16).
  6. I have my two females Au Ras more or less planned, but I need to wait for the lore in order to finish or change their stories. Everything I've come up with so far is based on assumptions. -For my first Au Ra, I've assumed that Au Ras are wary of/unused to other races, and have either been forced out of their lands or have suddenly seen their lands filled with said races. The key point is the cultural shock. She'll be a fragile girl, as wary as she's secretly curious. Her possible name will be Rune, unless the naming convention turns out to be completely different. -For my second Au Ra, I'm assuming that (maybe some) Astrologians are able to see bits from the future through their cards. She'll be a cold and serious person, with a heart full of venom, albeit also fragile in appearance. A male Au Ra (played by K'nahli) will protect her like a soulless puppet. I'm eager to learn about their lore *bounces*.
  7. Yesterday, Clover was invited to Nebula's wedding. It was the very first time I could attend a wedding (since they always happen at 4am for me), so I was very excited! Going to the Temple of the Twelve with Andre Winter. Everyone gathering. Clover was impressed at the beautiful white room. I got more screens to edit, they'll be posted later.
  8. I'm eager to bring any of my tribal miqo'tes to Ul'dah for some trading, so that they can get more of that cultural shock. I haven't yet because they're in an important tribal scene, but the idea of bringing my Tia to Ul'dah has been in my mind for a long time. It'll be fun >_< That aside, I also wish there were more tribal miqo'tes. Tribes are supposed to be the norm with Seekers, but we're such a small minority *sweatdrops* (and just for the record, I don't personally like or even understand the way Seekers work, but I enjoy the challenge of having to follow rules. It's not like I actually have to RP the things that make me uncomfortable, as my character isn't going to give herself to any Nunh; she just understands it'll happen "someday" and that's it. With this I mean that RPing a tribal miqo'te doesn't mean you have to engage or even assume that ERP is happening; that's not the only point of their culture).
  9. I'm a bit confused. I thought this thread was about the miqo'te lore, not so much about miqo'tes seldom or often mentioning their tails and ears. At least my post was about the lore itself. A characters' body language is a matter of personal choice, I think, and not everyone is equally descriptive in their writing, so this point shouldn't really be a problem (?). That or I've completely misunderstood it.
  10. To each their own, of course. I personally feel that ignoring the lore is a complete waste of opportunities to create something fun, and I'd love for my Seeker to meet other tribal miqo'tes from different tribes (is there any other real tribe out there?). I'm also ready and eager to follow the Au Ra lore, whatever it is. I must add that, while it's good that everyone RPs their own thing, I personally will prefer to RP with a majority of people who follow the lore. If the majority of characters I met ignored the lore completely, this one would simply cease to exist, as it would no longer be the norm. I'd rather avoid that. (For good or for bad, I don't engage in casual RP with strangers, so I haven't actually had this problem so far).
  11. Clover: -Sometimes, she can stare at people and observe them, as if she was invisible and they were interesting animals. This is what I call "ghost mode". -Doesn't speak more than what's necessary, and assumes people still understand. -Hates fishing. This is because her mind tends to wander far away while waiting, so she doesn't notice when a fish is biting. -Follows an imaginary cat whenever she sees him. -Other things (?).
  12. Aaaah, I wish my computer hadn't died right today, but I guess I should have seen it coming because it always happens when something is released ;_; Still, I'm excited to see screens of all the new items/mounts/pets/whatever!
  13. Umm... I don't know how active the EU community is in Balmung. I for one don't tend to see EU RP events, so I guess the EU community has never been strong enough, otherwise we'd have chosen our own server from the beginning. Maybe everyone is resorting to what I've ended up doing myself, which is private RP with a group of friends. If you're new and European, I'll tell you the same I've told everyone else. Balmung is good for casual RP, as you'll find tons of it in the cities. Even outside them, you might find people RPing during your travels (which I'm always thankful for). If you're from EU, however, expect to be locked out from actual RP events/plots and endgame content. Nothing is impossible, but things might be (very) difficult due to the different timezones. As an European, I don't recommend any fellow EU player to come to Balmung, unless they simply want casual RP at the expense of everything else.
  14. Quoting this because the irony of this post is SO HUGE at this point *endlessly amused*. Anyway, I got Inquisition as a Christmas present (which in Spain means January 6th), so I've spent the last two weeks playing it non stop. I'm a fan of Dragon Age games, the world needs more like them ;_; I was hoping that Cole could be romanced, but oh well. I still keep him in my party, he deserves all the love.
  15. The excitement is real! My favourite part of the new patch notes is the adding of new hairstyles. All the male ones are too good. New armour doesn't do anything for my main character, truth be told, so I'm not crazy about them. Aaaand I'm both curious and scared about the new PVP mode, but ultimately I'm glad that PVP level didn't raise.
  16. I'm completely in love with the first one for males (T////T)
  17. Since no one posted it, here's the original Japanese trailer. I refuse to believe I'm the only one playing this game with its original voices! Cf6uskQ1KdQ I was hoping for the trailer to show more fluff content like new outfits and hairstyles, but at least we could see Gold Saucer! What made me the most excited was Yugiri. I need Au Ras in my life ;_;
  18. Happy 2015! This is going to be an exciting year for us FFXIV fans >_
  19. dfsdfghfhfhjgj I'm not ready, must reach PVP rank 45 asap, and I wanted to level a second character's PVP ranks too ;w; I haven't touched any of the EX primals past Garuda myself, as I lack a party to do so. Anyway, I'm excited and worried/scared at the same time.
  20. The problem with RPing too many Au Ras right now is not just their unknown culture, but also the naming convention. When the lore is revealed, many people might find out that the Au Ras they have been RPing don't quite work lore-wise. Time will tell, but I personally don't want to risk it. I already know what first name I'd like for my main Au Ra, but I'm willing to wait and change it in case lore tells me that it's not a suitable one.
  21. K'mih's lips parted to give K'tahjha a reply, but any sound that was meant to come out of her throat was interrupted by K'iara's command. K'iara was a great woman, a great leader. K'mih, a submissive and weak miqo'te. She'd never contradict the leader's orders; she'd just look at her dear sister with worried and apologetic eyes -it was that look again-, and slowly and carefully remove K'nahli's arm from herself. K'iara was going to take care of her, right...? As much as K'mih wished she could do it, she was aware that K'iara would be much better and more helpful to her sister. So she left with the rest of the huntresses, willing to do as she was told to help them.
  22. Oh, your character wants to be a Dragoon as well? The expansion is definitely going to open many doors for your RP! I'm eager for it as well, even if I don't play a Dragoon. The character I meant with my post is F'yue Tia, a miqo'te from our personal Spanish RP ^^ Lately, he's been RPing his days in Coerthas with other people who play instructors.
  23. I'm also guilty of maining an elin Berserker *amused*. Cute characters with huge weapons (especially axes) are a weakness of mine, and Tera made that come true. Ugh, I miss Tera, even if I get bored of it fast. I'm always amused to see lalafell tanks, I don't see why that wouldn't work.
  24. I have OP's "problem" as well. I simply can't level all the jobs on a single character, because each job has a different charisma and my characters' personalities are more important than a convenient gameplay. I wish I had a different mindset (game would be easier), but I just can't *laughs*. As for my Au Ras, my first one will be a ninja. Not literally a ninja, she'll just know to use small blades. I chose this job because I see her as a fragile girl who still has some notion of how defend herself; she doesn't possess much strength, but she's fast. Ninja was the most similar to that idea. My second Au Ra will be an Astrologian. No physical strength, no agility; the damage she causes isn't physical either. She will be protected by a loyal and almost soulless guardian (a male Au Ra Dark Knight). Just for the record, I really wanted to play Machinist, but I just can't imagine a machinist Au Ra. It doesn't suit the charisma I have in mind for mine.
  25. Fire...? The brush...? K'mih had barely managed to start lifting her sister when K'iara's voice commanded a very different course of action, her tone filled with urgency. For a brief moment, the girl became paralyzed, confused about what to do and how to do it. The stones the elders had trusted her with didn't take long to come to her mind. "A-alright..." she whispered nervously, mostly to herself. Albeit quick, K'mih gave K'nahli an apologetic glance before she stood up and ran to the nearest brush. She'd only tried the stones once and was still unsure of how to use them properly, but hopefully she could still remember the movement. Grabbing a small branch she could use to imitate the fire ritual, K'mih barely gave herself some time to think about her own fear. She simply ignited the flame, so quickly that, for the second time, the shock made her let go of the stick abruptly. When she fell back onto the ground, her wide open eyes observed how the fire had indeed reached the brush. Like poison, it spread fast. Or perhaps it had simply found the right material, the right victim to nurture its flames. "K'nahli!" K'mih called her again, standing up as fast as she could -almost tripping down again- to run beside her sister. Neither those aggressive beasts nor the consuming fire were enemies she was prepared to fight.
