Not to discourage your search for a rp FC but I sorta gave up myself in trying to find a active/open FC for role-playing. I've had better luck getting into LS's and even then it's hit and miss. I'm sure there are a lot of decent FC's that do rp and are open so I hope you find one and have better luck then I had ^-^

if I can manage to make the event heh the first week of june I'll be more free due to the hubby's work times. >-> so maybe I can make up for my lack of doing anything then if I happen to miss whatever you seem to have planned. :3

x'D poor Kat! I'm so sad I've missed the classes at this rate haha. Maybe I can make at least one sometime! Im sure you can whip your students into shape though ~nods~ I signed up with a tentative time, but you know how my hectic life is so no promises >w< Marauder Training on the note of things I think I will be hosting the mrd class on Sunday at 8pm EST, that seems to be when most are free. Like suggested we'll meet at the coral tower and move on from there (give it's small space training there isn't the best idea). ~warning note: if I am late please forgive me as I have a 2 year old and a newborn. The toddler will be in bed if i have a say in it before this event and the toddler will be the only reason I have to take a quick pause to scoop him up. other details: you don't HAVE to bring proper gear and such to the first class but odds are you will be questioned if you are taking this seriously or if you have a death wish.

Sicking the interrogation ^^ for obvious reasons, one my character wasn't even at the battle given she probably stayed in Limsa. and two .. still being fairly new to the group im not sure she'd really bother with such a event. But I'm sure I'll hear about it or how it goes so >w< have fun to those who are going~!

Doodle - Marauder Training Ok there, those are the best times for me as far as skipping or working around the wee one's and the husband's work. I can always edit them later if someone or a few people speak up on a better time instead of the ones listed. >-<;

I'll probably do that today once I get some brain function back for today, been up most of the night.. toddler has a cold and i think she gave it to the 4 week old x.x plus hubby was complaining about being sick. oh fun times >-<

Obvious there is at least one person interested in MRD classes but I was curious if there was others or not. If not I won't worry as much about setting up a time and just get up with the one person who seemed to want them. My main issue is that it's a bit difficult to set aside a certain amount of free time due to having a toddler and a newborn so I guess i'll say that here as a warning if I do hold classes for MRD there is a high chance I will need a moment or two every so often to tend to the little ones.

Sadly i won't be going to the lancer classes. Hubby is off Fridays and Saturdays so i want to spend time with him where i ended up too wrapped up to do so last night. Have fun though ^^ i'm sure i'll catch it someday <3

Oh and finally getting to read over everything I was looking for when the MRD guild formed. Given what I had read earlier today it sounded like Merlwyb was the reason the guild was formed when she was building the maelstrom ranks or they were connected somehow ( I may have misunderstood that part of the information). On the same note I think you covered that time period I am speaking of in your post Sounsyy

If you could get a small group to agree on a time you could probably still rp out the traveling and setting up of camp. I'll be honest that is one thing that I miss from forum rp's compared to the game. There isn't a lot of group traveling and having to deal with one another on a daily basis (or least not any I've run into). Though on the topic of this thread.. is there any indication to the year that the characters are on? I toyed with a idea recently of aging my character a year given that I just did remember her birth date .. I'd kinda assume that aging characters time wise followed more along real life or whenever a certain event passed in the characters life. ~just thinking aloud feel free to ignore me or add your thoughts~

My experience with rp's and the stories I've come across.. do whatever you enjoy even if some will not agree with you. That's part of the beauty of adding rp'ers to a story that has lore. Not everyone will follow the guidelines (to an extent of course, though some take it pretty far out of the normal box of thinking and still manage to make it work o-o).

that one post helped a lot here shortly i hope to get a chance to read more into it ^^ Kellthach ~ I can't really say when a good time would be. Could be any time really. Depends on the age of your character i'd think along with other factors like what they were doing in said area or why they were in said area. I'm bad about answering this as I sorta went the route that my own character hails from some part of the known Eorzea.

So upon doing some lore research and thinking on my own characters back story I got questioning the timeline of Limsa and how much I really knew about it. Sadly I was no a 1.0 player so I am unsure of what lore gaps I may be missing to be honest. More or less I am asking if there was anything like a major event that happened in the last ten years in the city port of Limsa. I was reading a bit about pirates and the such and the race to see who was to be leader or something along those lines (forgive me I'm a bit still on the tired side). I am asking because in my character's story I have it to where she's been living in the city from the age of 17 .. given she is 26 (I guess almost 27 now) I have a feeling I over looked a bit of lore that has to deal with the city that could effect my character or at least her back story. I'll stop babbling now and see if I get any bites to help with this and maybe I can sort out what I am asking better besides general history or state the city was in over the past 9-10 years

well maybe i can look into trying to host a few here soon. ^^ need to do some research to make sure my lore facts are straight before I go trying this out hah..

I'll try to go to the class this time Kat No promises thus why I didn't want to sign up and have real life sort of explode on me. I'd love to get the chance to attend at least a few classes for my characters personal story progression to say the least <3

I can't wait for the ability to be able to change their looks.. given I kinda tossed mine together without a real purpose to them. Though with the random items they bring back im a bit more amused by them >w

I wasn't part of this last event but I was enjoying myself reading the ooc chat in the LS ^-^ have to say that was making my day (also given when my character was even invited to the LS she wouldn't have had a clue as to the battle plans anyway ). Also on the note of leading and the people there. I'm sure you did a fine job. Like you said the group won the battle so it couldn't have been too terrible. Trial and error are the only ways you can refine systems for future events to say the least. <3

Hope all goes well ^^ given the time in est I will 100% not be able to really make it (or if im online I wouldn't have the uninterrupted time to bother going). Real life and all that.. Kat knows my hectic life style having to put up with it a few times first hand haha... Best of luck on things though~! also ... Crisiet, that is not a saying I have heard in a long while so I admit I kind laughed at it.

Given I am getting back into the game and such again I'm a little weary of volunteering to host classes. ^^; I'd say Marauder easily enough due to the fact that IC I've been conned into training more then a few people one on one. As far as my other thoughts.. I'd love to get my hands on training a group of smiths (for either of the two crafts) but I think I'll wait till in the game I hit 50 at the least so I have access to the max level gear. Also the smith training would be a good enough excuse for my character to stay from the field work she seems to dread So still on that note I shall meander back in here in about 10 levels so if all goes well it'll be in the next few days and I'll see if I can't pin down some times I'm actually free (two children makes it a little complicated but this seems like more then a fun idea).

I have thought about keeping the character active outside of the game. I'd ave to keep in touch with the lore and such but at the same time I hardly got to do much rp'ing at all due to all of the fall through connections I seemed to encounter. Though in a way I'm kind of flattered to hear someone read the wiki I spent all that time into making (and never finished.. bad me). ^^; As far as servers go.. I had a hard time picking between the two. I was only on the server I was on due to a FC I was suppose to join... after a bit of drama and such that never came close and I was kicked from recruitment due to being friends with someone else (long story .. ). Really the boot was for the better because I doubt I would have stayed with that FC long due to how they acted or treated others in the game. If i were to come back (maybe possible in the future you never know) I may switch servers. If at all possible anyway. Someday they may allow legacy servers to move to non-legacy heh.. I never really enjoyed the player base I encountered on the server I played on to be honest. Maybe a handful of awesome people that I am a bit sad to part ways with.

Did I renew the sub? No, I had stopped playing a good 2-3 weeks before my time ran out. There was little to draw me back to the game. I never touched the end game content so no one can say I rushed and burnt out. I mainly was sticking with FF because of the promise and hope I could get more involved in the rp aspect. A aspect I seemed to have either poor or just flat out rotten luck with. I had put a lot of work in my character and I do feel sorry that I won't be moving her story along but I just can't bring myself to come back. I had made countless contacts and set up several ideas to expand the story of others and my own character only to watch nothing come of it. Maybe I just had bad luck.. who knows. I stopped bothering to log in knowing that what contacts I had didn't seem to reply to me when I messaged them or when I tried to get things moving along. Plus the Fc I was in seemed to be in the process of dying off as well so ~shrugs~ Anyway most here probably never met my character anyway so I doubt me leaving effects really anyone. ^^ just sort of wanted to make this official. I will probably post retired or something on the character Wiki so no one reads it at a later date with some hope of running into the character.

I'm normally off and on throughout the day. Though sadly my main active hours are from 6:30 pm till whenever I decide to log off. :< I am on in the mornings but I tend to be dragged off so I stay afk due to the little one needing me. Not sure I could hold any reliable rp'ing during that time >_<

Wizard ~ You may be.. I know my character stays clear of the area. She was already nearly caught in the area with her.. um.. companion/pet when she was seeking out her elder sibling upon hearing rumors he lived still. Plus she's been away from home for about 10 or so years I think (maybe a few more I'd have to redo the math to check it). Little point in returning home after that many years ^^;
