Knight Kat ~ I've been trying to remember to search for you >w< but I think we keep missing each other. I had moved my computer to the living room and had to adjust to that. Just recently been really active in game wise. Though I'm glad to hear I haven't missed anything too drastic ^^ my character sorta has been dealing with her own issues anyway. Probably things you'll find out about if you manage to track her down and get her to talk. She's not very open about where she use to hail from for obvious reasons (one of her pets being a good reason ... ~coughs~ her sibling being another).

I made my character back during the beta for 2.0. My sole purpose was to make a character I would use as my main and to rp with. I had a Free Company in mind (that didn't work out but maybe for the better) and read all the lore I could on 1.0 game and the current changed after the calamity. More or less it seemed that there were going to be very few Duskweghs and given I am a huge fan of out cast lore I ran with it. I did make quite a few adjustments and tweaks before the game was live. Help of people reading over my back story and 100 questions and then some friends helping out with making my background story a little less boring then it was. I had a look in mind but that changed over time as well as I adjusted my character to be a female instead of a male while keeping everything true to her background story and easily explaining why the change or why some would have seen her as one or the other (though she stopped dressing as the other gender now). The over all character was based off of a very old OC of mine. I reversed a lot of the things between them though, this character having a laxed temper and it's nearly impossible to get on her bad side or tick her off. Also I tried to pull from what I seemed to find a common theme for her Clan .. I didn't want her to be broody. She is a bit but presently she has a lot on her plate. Though once someone gets to know her or manages to get her into a conversation her real mood normally opens up fairly easily. Not quite to the chatter box stand point but she is willing to talk to new folk. Tries to avoid Lalafell due to her past history with them, but aside from that she has no quarrel with any of the other races or clans. I tried to make her a mix of a crafter but still able to defend herself, something that has proven harder to do then I thought. It is very difficult it seems to get a crafter into rp stories.. you would think it would be easy seeing as armor and weapons need repairs. I also threw myself a extra curve ball a little after the game launched and I fell in love with the Ishgard lore... Though IC she avoids that area for various reasons now..

IC'ly my character resides in Limsa seeing as shes a smith by trade (both types). Though she's been known to take up guard duties and such if the job presents itself. xP Not too commonly though given she isn't a PLD people don't seem to trust warriors as much with sucha task

Ok I have to say it.. but omg your character sounds adorable >w< You should stick with the persona you seem to have going for him, I think it's a nice change. It's one I normally see or hear about for another race but not for the one you seemed to have picked. I'd personally love to get o know this character, as i said he sounds fun or at the least entertaining to be around. Sadly we'd have to figure out a way to meet up as my character is not commonly in the Shroud area ^^; Save going there for picking up certain materials for her craft or if she is there on business herself. Most likely the first though (trying to pull my character a bit away from the common sell sword type and focus more on her crafting skills IC for her to get by in life).

Actually IC'ly from back in the beta when they showed a teaser image of a player character on a drake.. I had it planned out that my character would have a drake (so to say the least returning back home to Ishgard is out of the question for the simple fact she likes her head where it is...). Though mount wise I have a bit of a back story with my character and her chocobo Zeek, A giant yellow bird who I describe more or less as a feathered puppy. More often then not the bird gets over excited in greeting people and ends up tackling them or scaring the poor sods. The drake on the other hand I have not given a name to just yet, and IC'ly it is still in the process of growing so riding it wouldn't happen quite yet. Soon though... I've had both Zeek and the drake be useful in a few little rp skits to say the least so my character is certainly happy to have them around.

I'm only sad that my favorite moment happened with someone who I rarely see in game let alone on that character. But never the less... It was a Lalafell of all things. A young female who had not a clue of the world outside of her reading. The first run in with the characters had the young lalafell asking if the scars were from some abusive relationship seeing as my character was a smart mouth and blurted out that she had gotten them from falling down some stairs (an attempt to be boring and to prevent further questions). The second run in of the two was where the more entertaining conversation happened. This Lalafell being innocent and unknowing of the world hardly had a clue as to what she was talking about as she was at the Coin and Coffer (forgive me if I have this name mixed with another) with a sprained ankle and still needing to get to Ul'dah. At this time my character was still dressing as a male to hide her true identity and trying to prevent her own mouth from corrupting the poor lass' ears. The young girl tried to plead and offer payment for a ride to Ul'dah or rather being carried. Of course the answer was no at firs. All the way till the miswording of things from the other. Something along the lines that the man at the docks was willing to pay the woman there for a ride... Of course the context of this was hardly the same by any means as my character soon gave up on trying to explain what the pair she had seen at the docks had in mind without having o explain a whole nothing subject she frankly didn't want to touch on. To say the least the Lalafell got her ride or help in getting to Ul'dah an my character earned a name of Egburt for gods know why the Lalafell said she wanted to name her chocobo if she ever were to get one Egburt. The two once more parted ways with the last bit of advice from my character telling the young girl to not accept money from folk if they offered it in this city, actually it was more of advice to avoid contact with folk in the city as much as possible actually. But that is the end of that tale, nothing too extreme or epic but at the time I was cracking up and I did a half finished sketch of the outcome of the lalfaell being carried... more or less the whole bit had me cracking up reading these two try to interact when my character is known to be a bit blunt or brutish with how she words things.

Eh, I wouldn't say freak out over simple things like shoulder pats or hugs. Though the hugs would only be from people she knew and then she still isn't quite sure on how to handle characters who do that at random or in greeting. Personal space is liked by my character but she isn't to the point where there has to be a 5 foot radius around her or something. I think it more of falls to the lines that she is more tolerant if she knows whoever she is speaking with and they decide to invade that so called space. A random person glomping her or something she might give a death threat to... circumstances.

I'll be on later tonight, probably 7ish EST. My days normally are spent with the little one and she's almost 2 years of age so she's a bit demanding at times of that attention :3

I still need to get in contact with you about this idea if you made a Ls or not or something to keep track of people ^^; been a bit busy with life issues so it's kept me from the game.

I need to get off my arse and pester someone. Finally settled my pc set up as good as its going to get out here in the living room... maybe tonight if i catch someone online I'll see what can be done ~nods~

I should be on more now, moved the desktop to the living room and i think i have most of the settings fixed up .. Now if i can figure out how to change the in game font and stuff so i can read it on the tv i have to use as a monitor .w.; But I am sorry for my absence when I clearly did state I was more then interested in this group >_<;

Actually I'm rather interested in this as a interaction standpoint. IC i have it stated my character worked in Limsa as a cook for a while when she had two solid jobs. Sadly things got in the way and she moved away or had to leave that job as well as the other. But there I posted to show interests ^^ <3 Always up for interactions that probably won't end my character up being nearly killed.

I sent you a request through Steam (similar username as here ) I've been scarce myself, sadly not due to spending time with loved ones. More of the opposite if I have to be honest. But anyway... come Monday I should be on more. Moving my desktop out of my husbands hair so he can work and in my spare time from the little one I can do as I wish. As far as helping with plot or ideas I can try, thus why I added you on steam. Brainstorm <3

I can give it a shot, the last one i drew was the only one i've come close to finishing or doing the lines for in a LONG time to be honest. >_<; Stay at home mom and i do all the house work plus take care of the kids... heh i start a bit worn ^^; But I'll try either way :3 as far as what you said on the image.. she would be not wanting to .. as a rp character she hates or distrusts Lalafells due to a few issues in the past. But my husband doesn't rp so this would never happen.

There I did something productive recently... even with me being mad as fire at my husband for his actions as of late ~grumbles..~ Still determined to finish the V-day image I started of our characters. Makes me a bit sad he doesn't roleplay so such a thing would never happen IC'ly :<

That is a good point that most of these characters probably wouldn't know one another unless in the same service during certain times. My main thought behind my character is that probably her last name would be more known then her herself. In her wiki I state she is the daughter of one of the smiths who works under or for one of the houses. I more or less left how well known said name is up to whoever wanted to use the information. But on the same note she still keeps up with the so called trade of her father and uses a similar symbol when branding said pieces. Just a thought more or less, as in her wiki I said she left her home area around the time she was 16 so odds are if she knew or anyone knew her when she was younger it would be more of a question then a for sure knowing of who she is now.

I hope I can get on sometime tonight (before 1am... gah) my other half works from home and he's recently decided that he doesn't want me in the same room while he's working. So I may be moving my desktop into the living room. My poor laptop cant run this game without risk of exploding. ^^; Also I may have someone else that you need to add to your look out for list.. though having any information on her character would be hard to come by. Still in the process of asking her if she wants to be included int his :3

My plan was to be on tonight, but my husband kicked me out of the room for the evening till he gets off work at 1am.... I think I'll be moving my computer to the living room tomorrow. He's more or less booted me off the computer all day today D; though I suppose is anyone is up around 1am est I might be on then if I don't just go straight to sleep. .__.; but seeing as i did see your post there... my normal game times are around 6pm till whenever I decide to log off in EST times. My day goes to the little one to make sure she's not getting into trouble

hey my character doesn't stroll around with a lance.. actually she's right poor with using one.

I wouldn't say my character really cares if people know that is where she is from... but she was more raised outside of the city then in due to her parents work. Plus she tends to try to forget her past after some recent events with her family. Leaving on bad terms probably doesn't help her to opening up about her home. I think she's only told a select few who managed to get close enough to get it out of her. Others knew her from her past and figured out who she was. On the same note of why she tends to shy from admitting that is her homeland... she is kind of raising a young drake ic'ly ^^; the thought of ever really returning home terrifies her knowing what the thoughts on such a creature is.

I'm all for a ic LS .. I keep trying to find some and this is a great idea let alone a thought out one ^^. I've been a bit inactive in the game the past few weeks but I'll try to be on more if this idea plays out ~nods~ but either way feel free to hit me up on here in a message or in game if you manage to catch me on.

I've noticed this actually, or the few LS's that I have bothered to try with just die off over time or seem to be headed by half crazed leaders... =/ Though it's good to know there are some still out there kicking about.

Generally I don't go out and read other character journals but I do post my own here and there on the lodestone (give it some form of a use.. besides that I would never log into it). I don't worry too much on the fine details like date or whatever or really say too much about my character that isn't common knowledge. Though my journals so to speak are set up more as inner thoughts as I don't really have a character type that would be willing to write a journal or care to bother with it. That being said I do tend to fall behind on my entries but I'll spend a few hours at some point and catch up on 2-3 of them and call it a day and finish the rest later. This way its not a chore to me like I don't hope off rp'ing and go write the entry. I like letting the events sit in m head a while so I can mull over what my character really thought during it. Granted most of the time she's more complaining that some of the others she deals with gets into too much trouble and why they have to drag her into it. These entries can give out a bit too much information I can admit that by skimming over entries of others... but its all in the person who reads it to be honest. As a rp'er you should be able to read something and not act like you know such information IC'ly. If anything maybe it gives you a reason to seek out the said character and try to tip toe about to get that conversation to strike up. Though I normally go by the motto if you are enjoying what you are doing then keep doing it and to heck with what others say or think.

On the note of Dragoons i think it was mentioned in this thread someone thought that there were probably ranks of these said knights even though the quest mainly talks (or only really..) about the azure dragoon. For my five cents on the matter I agree with the thinking that there were probably ranks of dragoons at the least. The summoner quest proved that there were multiple soul stones for the job so I don't see why there couldn't really be like lesser dragoons or whatever rank >_>; maybe thats just me
