I have a friend who might be wanting this, he's been working on a story of transition form glad to dragoon actually :3

I love the idea for a DRG LS personally, though my character left Ishgard or the area when she was 16 she wouldn't really be a dragoon so to say just has some lancer training (actually my characters back story has her more as the smith's daughter type of deal).

I am not volunteering to set it up.. I'm terrible with planning rp events it seems ^^;

I'd agree with getting a group of the character together.. that could be fun >w

Actually my character I state is from the area, maybe not the city so to say due to the work her parents kept when she was a child. I've stated she's a common smith's daughter if she's asked such a thing and given a certain other character she tends to run around with she's often enough asked what house she was allied with or hailed from so to speak due to that characters background and not my own. xP As far as how I play the character and her feelings towards the ways of the city... She's been away from the area for over 11 years. So the snow and everything is new to her given she's been back in the area recently. Though she left home to try to get from out of her father and brothers shadows that were forcing her into certain roles or what was to be expected of her. Also on the note of dragons.. I can't say much as ic she is taking care of a drake hatchling, though one she found in her travels of the desert. In her reasoning or wording of it the drakes outside of the Ishgardian area seem to act differently, Granted if she ever were to return back home she'd probably be branded as a heretic or worse.

re-reading over this my character isn't the whole knight type or does well under being ordered about constantly even through training.. >w> Though the services peaked my interests. I'd be interested in this give IC'ly my character dabbles in a different crafts, mainly being blacksmith and amorsmith and enough woodworking knowledge that she can do repairs on wooden or similar weapons but crafting them wouldn't be her strong point. >w<

My five cents on the matter when I was first making my character i actually questioned the tattoo.. After digging through what others thought and such and the given lore I settled it was probably some tradition or something. This being said my character left home before the whole coming of age thing that I put as when she should have gotten such a mark. Both of her parents have the mark though. I agree with just putting your own twist or tail to them if you wish. ~nods~

I think any advise I could say has been well covered. Inspect tags and OOC'ly message people asking them if you are worried ^^ But you do have to get out there in most cases and start things. Very rarely have I seen where having a RP tag ends up landing you into a rp or even a message from a fellow rp'er. I do wish you the best though, but don't be shy ^^ from what I've noticed a lot of rp'ers are shy or seem to think others will bite them (I don't bite that hard I promise). Aside from that my other thoughts is if you ever catch me online then feel free to poke me in or ooc :3 always up for a chat or something or even setting up a meet up session (while random is fun a little set up never hurts if you are worried or have a story in mind).

Sadly I don't have the free time to dedicate to helping this cause (I barely get to be online as it is) but I wanted to say this is the most adorable thing ever! >w< Sorry .. had a moment there. I wish you two the best of luck in getting your people together and that it goes swimmingly ^^

I tend to lean towards respect what lore is told in the game as it is. Though that area for my back story is a bit hazy as I state the characters sibling is a lesser Dragoon. But in this I more or less explain that is a experienced or seasoned lancer trained to slay the dragonkin. Some of the advanced classes are a bit harder to play out then others I will admit that. Just the lore makes them hard. I know IC my character has minor lancer trainer due to where she grew up and then is a MRD. IT would require some huge event that effected her emotionally to give her the proper rage so to speak to even toy at the idea of being a WAR or hunting a mentor down for the class. I can't speak much for the other classes as I don't have them to 50 yet thus have not personally read the story lore behind them. But on the same note... im all for people playing what they wish to play ic or ooc.. just maybe explain ooc'ly how or why your character is such if questioned. Though I don't really advise going the lazy route as it was stated a post above me in just flat out ignoring the lore.

That is good to hear that you all are getting together and trying to recover, even better that the GMs are already looking into the issue. The FC I'm in was just talking about this on mumble the other day about how horrible it was given that all of our members knew the FC's name May your future be brighter though~

as others have said report him, even if he switched servers report him and explain the situation. Pretty sure they have something they can do against that. at the least return the items to the FC chest and the gil I hope for the best for you all though... if i had spare mats or wasn't dirt poor myself i'd help try to do something for you and your group. 3

I read it ^^ actually I like it! I think it works well personally. I may have to stalk the wiki if there is updates from the character and current events :3 ~also thanks to you saying you read my fail page earlier I literally wasted 2 hours nearly finishing my own wiki~ @-@ but lore wise i think it all worked. I can't say much on the caves as i know lore says duskies live in caves but all npc reports in current game dont point to this Maybe someday we'll get a small duskwight cave city or town :3

oh gods i hope you didnt i need to update that for major plot twists recently ^^;;; *having a almost 2 year old eats my free time >w>* i think certain clans or families would find it to be taboo.. as far as seeing many rp it out i haven't but as my friend in FC chat said adventurers are more understanding or least withstanding of such barriers.. not saying everyone plays their character to be a adventurer type but it was a good point. It might also depend on area.. i know if you were from lets say the houses of Ishgard there might be a bit of say in who you picked as a mate or not ... Also like i said im sure there are some more well off families who might care to keep the blood clean so to speak. I think it would be very interesting if you and your friend did play out the disapproval between the two races. It is not done nearly enough if you ask me ^^ (like i can talk with my character more or less working up to being a bodyguard for a Wildwood >_> though she does openly admit to disliking /trusting lalafell.)

I guess it could depend on the area and the family background of the character if they would be frowned upon or not. So as others have said it more or less is up to you or your friend there. ^^; From what I've noticed most Duskwights I have run into don't speak much on the whole family or background. Mine might mention being common born but thats about it and thats only because another character she is commonly found with seems to draw up a question of Houses due to that character's name. Personally for my character if she ends up falling in love with or marrying a wildwood or another race then by all means. Odds are she won't be going back to her folks any time soon let alone worries about some disownment after leaving home in the first place. I'd agree to writing whatever works or would work better story wise for the two characters ^^ <3

Rinette ~ I'm always up for rp ^^ if I seem busy feel free to poke me I tend to drop whatever I'm doing for rp's >w> hehe.. but yeah I drew that hair at least.. um.. 3-4 times before I called it a night. There is no real references for that sort of style =/ and most of the other elezen styles don't fit the character's personality. Tlamila ~ possible as well.. given the odd little conversation she was having with a small group I may be scared as well for my own well being. ^^; I love expressions.. once i get back into the swing of drawing I'll probably go back to body expressions to work with the face/mood. I'm assuming the style is a lot of braids.. the hair graphics don't really give away that detail but logically.. thats the best i could come up with.

none really, i wanted to fight with the hair i seem stuck on for the character.. love it to bits.. pain in the royal butt to draw .__.; Though I guess it could be the proper expression if someone managed to get her to fess up about her past a bit. She's not too proud of it. I noticed the ton of fantastic artists here ^^; i'll be happy to be half as good someday ~

What kind of stories has your character gotten into? Oddly not too much considering I've had a rough spell getting into rp's and seem to mainly just rp with the same 2-3 people. Organization hopping is one of the characters adventures though, from being a wip sky pirate to a secret knight organization and now more recently a mercenary. The character hasn't found her true place to call home just yet I don't think. For a while the character was hiding who she was even from those she was around more often then not, a fear form her past still eating at her to not show her true gender. When this was exposed it seemed to go over fairly well to her surprise. There was a number of other small events but most of them I have posted on the characters lodestone and I'm not awake enough to type them all out. As of the present the character is mainly (ic anyway) found in the limsa area or out fishing somewhere. Ending up in the care of a young drake that eats far more then all of her side jobs and crafting can provide for. How has your character changed since the game re-launch? Hrm.. character wise i think about the same, she hasn't changed minus in looks. To admit I wasn't expecting the whole female twist thing but it's played out really well with how I went about it and given the character hasn't interacted with more then a handful of people. If anything she's become a bit more social in being attached to the group she id around more often then not. What has been your favorite RP moment so far? This is a tough question... I dunno I have to admit my favorite rp session I had was when a little lalafell talked my character into giving her a piggyback ride to Uldah from the Coffer. Giving the character the nickname of Eggbert and saying that she saw a lady tell a sailor at the docks he could ride her if he paid. Of course a whole nothing meaning but the character literally had to face palm to express true thoughts on how innocent or blind the lalafell was to the real world. The two parted ways at Ul'dah with the advice to not take gil from strangers and to avoid certain streets in the city. What was the most shocking RP moment this year? Probably all the free company jumping.. I was planning to be in a stable company bu that didn't happen. I had to adjust my character a few times to ic leave or deal with a company disbanding. What was the most surprising thing you found out about your character? Probably the whole being a female the whole time. I never once planned that, but to get my husband off my back I rolled with it. I miss the character being male to be honest but it's the same character as a female so it's not that huge of a deal to me. What relationships did your character build? Hrm.. probably more of a family relationship then anything. She became rather close with a young Miq'ote that she had met in her past when she was very young. Given the girl lost her sibling some time back and that my character is distant to her own family the two are as close to family as they can get. What are you looking most forward to seeing in the future with your characters growth and story? I'd like to say more friendships to be honest, from switching to female i had to block a number of my old rp buddies... for reasons... I'm all for a relationship but there are limits an a ways to go about such a thing as well. I'd like to just see the character get out more in the long run.

I've heard of a few people rp'ing with or along the story but nto many. I stayed clear of it myself because all in all I have it noted that my character doesn't have the echo. Some of the characters I've met in the game do have the echo, given my character isnt overly fond of fighting unless needed her skills would be better off placed at the forge for repairs and making the gear needed to take on the beasts.

I only have managed to do one IC run it was pretty fun but that was only one time sadly... can't seem to get a 4 man group together to do another D;

Normally my character is where ever they need to be as far as travel goes. Only once did I get to rp out travel time and thats because there were two characters traveling from the shroud to Ul'dah. That was pretty fun though even if it took way longer then we said it took. I tend to stay away from airships for ic. My character has no reason to own a pass. Though on that note my character tends to stay away from ships as well unless drunk. ^^; Dislike of water means I hoof it or ride a chocobo everywhere.

I was just stating my thoughts on items in the game, all seem to have a description so it makes me think there is some sort of lore (sens-worthy or not) behind it. Not saying I agree with all items in game but still. We are talking of a game where I take a axe to a tree and get bugs from it >_< On the note of my plans at the present with this.. I was thinking of the mentioned way where a item might have some effect if touched but I need to think on a lot of details to make that lore friendly on its own and not just something made up from thin air. I have honestly been thinking on the dressed as a guy option as well because it seems to be the one that requires the least amount of work on my end and would be a heck of a lot less traumatizing on the character itself. It would also half explain the height of the character if it were actually female all this time as well. My issue now if how to pull it off and why they needed to hide for ... well the past like x amount of years as a male. sure i could go the route of needing to hide from someone but that seems common and over used.. but i still have time anyway because at the least i was thinking on changing the first name a bit if they give us the option.

I go through it at times though i normally catch it myself and try to rephrase my wording of things *and probably still fail to some* Least as far as the reason I made this thread it seems I might have a while still with no official word on when name changes will happen. ^^; probably a good thing cause there are a few things going on that I don't really want to just up and drop out of due to having to do this. ~also for those who are confused why im still on the fence its because this would be a huge change to the character but at the same time being married to a non rp'er isn't the easiest task and being bothered as to when i'll gender switch my character is annoying me thus why I even agreed to doing this whenever name changes are released..~ though asking my husband he said just kill the character make it female and make a new rp alt.. *because i want to level from 1-50 all over again on a fresh character*
