Xande, Amon, Unei and Doga are all from Final Fantasy III but the NPCs/bosses may have been given those names to fit the theme of the Crystal Tower raids. And then there's Wiyu, which was the name of a weapon in final fantasy tactics.

The Odin trial hand/feet pieces are equippable by DoM. Also, while they don't have a heavy armor appearance, the Allagan replica tunics of casting/healing are decent non-robe tops (expensive though)

There are probably different denominations of coin so you're not stuck carrying around hundreds of 1 gil coins (unless you're one of those sadists that likes to pay for everything in pennies) Allagan currency is a good example of this and I'd like to think there's an present-day Eorzean equivalent.

When I heal low level dungeons, I'm often bored and tab out to do other things or start dpsing and forget that I'm the healer. As a result, my friend died three times in the same dungeon. Sorry. :love: I spam annoying chat macros and auto-translate phrases in dungeons with said friend. I have an annoying limit break macro. I forget to change out of RP gear when entering a dungeon.

I was there for a long time. In my case, I cut ties with people who were no good for me IC or OOC. I don't believe I should have to play a character that carries the baggage that came as a result of her interactions with characters belonging to people I no longer wish to have any connection to OOC. So I rolled my character back to before I met them. Chances are, you'll upset someone no matter what option you choose. Don't worry about pleasing other people, It's your character and you should do whatever you need to do to enjoy yourself. Talk it it over if you can so your friends know what to expect and how you've been feeling about the situation. Good friends/RP partners will be understanding of your situation/decision and work with you on changes.

I push the button, people roleplay in the open world more than they would in the cities or housing wards. People could be found roleplaying along the roads and even in out-of-the-way settlements. There is no instant travel. The Aetheryte system functions like it did in 1.0 so people can't hop carelessly from point A to point B in excess and ship/airship travel functions like FFXI with wait and travel time.
