Make her enigmatic for another reason. You've been given you plenty of suggestions on how to alter the character without completely abandoning the Allagan concept. Its up to you if you want to heed the advice or scrap her because it's too hard/time consuming/costly/whatever.

Technically, as it has been pointed out, you "can" do it - you're technically free to try RPing anything you want - but depending on how far it deviates from the lore will result in how open other people will be to it. Plenty of more "lore-abiding" methods have already been touched on, including references to vampires already mentioned in lore, that might be better than the option originally presented. And, on the mod side, we've seen notifications regarding the OP's comments and are already discussing the matter. "Calling us out" for not getting to it at the speed you feel is required is not appreciated. At the very least, put on the mod hat and remind people to keep their asses in line while you work your behind-the-scenes magic, instead of contributing to off-topic shitposting.

Using the contents of your character's pants as the foundation of their entire existence is terrible and there should be so much more to them than that. Gender shouldn't matter at all in the grand scope of things. Also, this is just a pet peeve but I loathe the term "mate", you're not an animal.

Some people play on console and outside alternatives like skype or forums aren't available to them or an option they're comfortable with. With those options and imagination why roleplay within the game at all? Do you people feel entitled to crash parties held in public parks too? If they really want to make it private they can hold it at home or rent a private venue, right? With creative use of decorations and a little imagination it would be just like the park. If you are turned away politely, accept it and move on. Its a big server, someone else would surely be happy to include you.

It might be the wording but to me, it sounds as if OP was offended that a stranger did not include them in a closed RP or accept their personal headcanon for the area. Not everyone is comfortable with randoms inviting themselves. Check their search info to see if they're open to walk-up style RP or ask for permission to join. Also, don't take offense if they say no. The alleged quote from the other player has me confused, did you imply you owned the building or did they assume you were suggesting such? If it was the former, shame on you, would you appreciate someone forcing their way of RP on you? You handled this situation poorly. The bold part is what has me wondering. Either OP insisted the spot was his property and not a part of Dragonhead or the other party made assumptions and flipped out over nothing. We don't have the full details, maybe more was said or maybe the other guy really was that easily triggered. Either way, poor decisions were made on handling the situation. It might be for some people. There's always the option to ignore the newcomer's presence and carry on if that''s the case. I'm gonna slither back under my cozy rock now, later.

Plus Boners and Blue Balls don't affect the emotional states of being, so in a game where Two classes use emotional states of being, as part of the classes structure and lore.. it becomes a bit more important. If you would ever want to know I would A.) Not be insulted, and freely share information. B.) Not even think anything further than oh she's researching her character. I'm pretty sure arousal is or is at least a result of an emotional state of being.

Good point, they never did say where babies come from in the FFXIV universe. Perhaps they just kind of sprout from the aether like so many other things and babby is formed by rubbing crystals together really, really fast.
