Could we please make RP FC leaders have rights too to allow future pruning and management? It also makes it clearer that this is a community rather then a one FC run LS. (it has been run well to now, I have no complaints on that).

I would love to come (Nebula) , BRD full DL and iFrit bow. Try as I might Gurada won't give me her bow, then as soon as I go she drops it. Also please include a friend (Ilwe'ran) who also wants BRD but can also come for repeat runs as Healer (SCR) if needed. (EDIT) I now have bow +1 so don't need. However, I am happy to help others if you need a dps. Ilwe still needs his bow and knows the fight very well.

Yes I still plan to run this. Initial idea was to RP the setup as well as the event but that proved a non starter. So now I am just going to scale it back and run as a one off. December mid Xmas to NewYear looks like my target window.

Simple.. If they are speaking in open channels /say /em then it's open season If they aren't, and a lot use /party for private RP then leave alone How you do it is down to your character, but signalling you are RPing with emotes or comments to no one or NPCs is a good way to start. If really worried an OOC /tell is a nice way to ask.

I was a bit reticent at 1st as it clearly takes a lot of organising (cat herding) but once going it as great. I will be there for the second one. A BIG thanks to the organisers

Unfortunately being in UK I could only be there for the first hour. However, it was good to see a reasonable turnout and that people got down to some RP anyhow. Perhaps the shipment of wine and cheese most were hoping for was waylaid by the Imperials up the road. Sounds like we should go and get the good stuff back! Or maybe invite them next time> Anyhow, I look forwards to the next one and Nebbs will bet there at the start.

The recommendations are in the abilities/actions thing. Press P and it us in there someplace (not at my pc atm). Looks like a pointing hand. You can also get it to popup when you enter an area.

All I can say is I didn't fate grind and I made it. Individual things may not seem like a lot but they all add up especially with rested bonus. I did this as an Archer/Bard so suffered the long DF waits. (edit) I fully expect for my 2nd class that I will have to learn to like the fate grind.. or go play something less boring instead.

Things to do rather than fate grind.. Hunting log Leves Fates as you pass them Queue for dungeons Crafting gathering or another class while waiting for dungeon Check out areas you have not been to Use the thing that tells you what is available in a zone

And beginner friendly sorts and lots of sideline casual RP such as fashion tips, the Gossip Club, watching the ships sail by, chillin at the beach, spa-sessions at the hot springs, Hey that Crab stole my hat!, and so much more.

Well I have started using Macros for RP, I play a bard and when you have set pieces to perform it is better than cut/pate for every line. I have also started mixing in emotes for characterisation. Here are some tips: You get 15 lines so split things over separate macros The /wait is good to provide a gap between each line rather than pop a wall of text Emotes with the "motion" modifier don't generate an emote Use "/ac" to activate a skill, such as one of the bard songs Alt and keypad 13 gets you ♪, or other alt presses Good emotes are angry, yes, no, sooth. But use others too for effect. Ok so perhaps best to give you an example.

Well if you want a great EU timezone RP Guild/FC try FFC http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=4589 We are growing and there are enough on to spread outside of the timezone. We run regular weekly events as well as player formed RPs going on most of the time. The main complaint is people can't level due to the amount of RP though a few are now 50 and dying painful deaths in the end game stuff.

They are all fine, it's not who your parents were that counts it's what you make of your life. Though running around saying "I'm Rat Girl" just makes you crazy.
