If I had paid name changes and a spare fantasia, yes. I would perma death. Not over any 'ol thing, but I have several plots that could go that direction. Transfer name changing isn't an option for me for what I've spent on stuff that cannot be refunded. It's a thin line though, RPing a bad guy and staying alive. Very difficult sometimes. ...I would also have to plan out a whole new character I'm sure I like, before anything goes down like that.

Whoops sorry, If it counts that's just the person I was talking to, and I cleared it with her before I posted it, but I thought I removed her name anyway (Damn you textpad find and replace). The names mentioned besides Kayah and I weren't actually there. Again I honestly just thought it was a cool situation and wanted to give the summary. I realize that most of what I was complaining about could have been avoided if I had thought through things more. I understand where you're coming from and what you're saying. But being arrested isn't permanent, though. You can always have bail posted, or escape, or bribe the guards even. My character faces lawpeople every other day. I know your character isn't a full time criminal, being a Sultansworn. But now you know the struggles us villain RPers go through every day.

You are either referencing another log (which I haven't seen) or you did not click on that link. It's just a copy paste of text which, as far as I can tell, has the names of two characters edited out and replaced. There's no screenshot there. While I do think the log wasn't particulary pertinent to the overall discussion (because it's an IC retelling of the event and not the event itself), I see it as a "This is what happened" more than a "And (Someone Else) was to blame for all of this!". It is important to know the specifics of the situation and how everyone acted to learn anything from it. If you have no details, how can you induct from it and come to a conclusion? Though, again, what happened seemed clear enough before, so I can understand why you'd think Natalie is trying to place blame instead of just be as clear as possible about the whole thing. Ummm... That seems a bit overboard and a rather exclusivitist point of view on the matter. Its one matter if you're RPing ICly in a non-public place, but otherwise it should be fair game for walk-up RP. Unless personal preference dictates that you simply don't want potential public engagement. But that is a whole 'nother thing. In this case though, Natalie was encouraged walk-up RP, just not losing her agency in the matter. It's a thin line to dance on, doing your own personal plots in the open. If we're going to talk about being exclusive in public, to ooc shame people in /say for RPing their characters, just be exclusive in the first place. Better to be safe than sorry. What's the point in RPing a lawman if you can't arrest people confessing illegal activity in public?

If I am ever doing a plot line that I don't want other people involved with, I do it in party chat. Plain and simple. 90% of my RP as a criminal RPer is shady shit that I don't want unrelated parties having anything to do with. Saves people the embarrassment of being told they're not allowed to RP with us, saves us the headache of trying to explain why it's private.

I'm impressed the mods left this up, considering erotic content is against the rules. I mean, it's suggestive enough. There's a final fantasy section on Darknest, y'know.

My character's trying to do a good deed for her. She might be too embarrassed to ask, or maybe everyone's busy, I'm not 100% on it. It's not a bad thing to RP outside your FC. Either way, RP. I'll be logging on in a couple of hours and I'll look around at everyone who's replied.

My friend needs to learn how to control their magic IC. Like, not blowing things up when she means to singe a little. She's not a complete newbie, but she's got some issues. As for the linkshell, I'm online a lot, usually outside that time zone. Don't wory about the linkshell. ..Also, oh noo, my friend is IN that free company! I'm pretty open about who my character brings to her, because I figure all magic has similar strategy with control. (Well maybe not white magic vs black magic, I dunno, I'm bad at RP magic.)
