Don't feel shunned! We're glad to have you. My recommendation for RPLS's or FC's would just be to browse the Linkshell tab. You can also visit some of the places listed in this thread to see the shells in action and maybe see where your style meshes!

The server time has never made any sense whatsoever. Ignore it. This is an NA/EU server, hosted in Montreal. I, like you, can't be up late and haven't had a shortage of RP yet. I think your best bet would be to join an Intermission LS and start stopping by places listed in this sticky! I very frequently see RP going on in the adventurer guilds in the evenings as well.

Accents. Welp, I used the most obvious thing: vocal cut scenes. I consider most Eorzeans to have some sort of English accent, with an undertone of where they're from. Limsa is most obviously different, where as Gridania can seem more formal, and Ul'dah is somewhere in the middle. Of course, education and social status have sooo much influence on this.

While we had zip for official lore on naming when I created Aysun, I did notice quite quickly that there were naming conventions in place in the game. I noticed that virtually all the Seekers of the Suns' names began with a letter and an apostrophe, seemed to be very odd/difficult to pronounce, and favored h's. Soooo I made up a "traditional" name for Aysun, A'eyshn, and said that she used "Aysun" because her traditional name was difficult for people to pronounce properly. The names are pronounced the same to her, one is just the Hyurized-spelling so that it can be read easier by non-Miqo'te. Her surname was from her mother because her dad was POS and her mom would never want to pass on his name (surname, I assumed, not forename)! Luckily my assumptions were later alright with the lore. I got lucky. Not all of us from 1.0 were. I fully support people utilizing the naming conventions now that they are available to us. If they don't, I like to see reasons why IC!

I think that's a major issue right now. There are all these LS's with public places they do RP.. and none of us know where they are. I would love to see this thread happen.

I feel as if you may have taken this thread a bit personally against Balmung's server as a whole, this wasn't my intent; I was hesitant to remain on it to begin with due to OOC reasons. I am not asking with intent to sabotage Balmung's RP, I am genuinely wondering which is more active because I play MMOS -FOR- RP. The gaming part is a side piece for me when no one's on/actively RPing. I understand for other's it's different, and for others, Balmung's level of activity is plenty, but for me it is not. If it is the fact that servers are still catching up with people leveling instead of Rping, then RP should flesh out more within the amount of time it takes for server transfers to open and I'll remain on Balmung.... but if not, I sadly will be seeking a new server. I have been looking for a LS for some time now and haven't been successful, so I am still looking for one. I apologize if anyone took this badly, that wasn't my intent of the thread. I don't know anyone on Gilgamesh so I figured this was the best location to ask. Have you joined Intermission? That's the best place to ask for RP. There are always people on there ready to go. What kind of LS are you seeking, that you haven't found one that suits your tastes yet? I'm honestly just trying to help. I didn't take this thread personally so much as hope to clarify WHY you have had trouble finding RP, and that it is the same for everyone, no matter the server, at the moment.

We shouldn't say things like this, either. While I have not RP'd on Gilgamesh, I'm sure that people take their RP seriously there too, even if it doesn't suit your tastes..

If you decide to join us after transfers are opened up you are more than welcome Please do not turn this into a recruitment thread. Legitimate reasons for the OP's lack of RP have been given. This isn't something a server transfer will fix. Both servers are in the same state.
