  1. OH wow that is just terrible. Definitely report him to SE. That's got to be punishable.
  2. Short and sweet: We have an awesome DRG in our coil static and wouldn't trade him for nothin'!
  3. Pretty much. The powersthatbe have already spoken, and honestly I think the only thing adding a separate subforum would do for Gilgamesh is hurt any potential growth, because it would display in numbers the differences in population again.
  4. I personally love seeing creative tags. There's a < around right now that makes me smile whenever I see it. But there's also something to be said about a FC tag that makes sense or represents the actual name of the company. I still die when I see <> running around.
  5. Ahh, such relief of stress just now. Glad to see the role of admin going to you Freelance!
  6. This is why I love saying "hey draw.. whatever" That is hilarious~. Thanks!
  7. Crystalline is actually starting a bi-weekly sermon that we are slowly introducing to the public (we're hoping it seems like the invites spread by word of mouth). So hopefully soon you'll start seeing those show up on the events calendar here as well.
  8. As cute as it would be to have her be your daughter in game due to some sort of time travel, it may be safer to just do a retcon and say they /DO/ have children!
  9. Welcome! That was a hard poll to answer. Seriously. Took some internal debate. Garuda won out though, in the end, though I find that I neeeeed that Titan music during hardmode.. Maybe see ya in game!
  10. Omg. I miss being able to do that.. Anymore I have to log things and re-read them to write my journals because RP goes up to or past my bedtime.
  11. I just prefer to get my lore directly from the game instead of making too many assumptions or finding loopholes. That's just my personal preference, though. I don't care much what other people do, as long as it's not forced on me too. If your character started talking about Miqo'te languages, Aysun'd just look at her like she's nutso and we'd move on. Personally, I think the best way to make your Miqo'te unique among the rest of them is to have the best personality ever, rather than pushing lore or backstory or some such. But everyone is free to do whatever they want that makes it fun for them.
  12. It's not been quick. Miqo'te have been in Eorzea for quite a long time. They migrated during the 5th Umbral era, between 1500 and 4000 years ago. They're not as primitive as most people like to assume. But if someone wants to RP a Miqo'te who grew up in a clan/tribe that clung to their traditions and lived a more isolated cultural lifestyle then the lore supports that too. The lore seems to suggest that traditional Miqo'te societies are not doing well, but they still are out there. If a people are still living a more traditional lifestyle, I don't think its a stretch to say that these more traditional Miqo'te can have knowledge of a more traditional language. I hope I don't have to type the word "traditional" any more...:frustrated: Yea, the lore supports it both ways. There are a few Seekers out there that still actually live in a tribe (see U tribe). However, there is no evidence what so ever that the lore supports them still having things like their own language after being in Eorzea for so long. I guess if they were some isolated tribe in the ass end of Eorzea that we can't even access..?

  14. Eorzea is such a melting pot, so while all the races are implied to have had their own languages at one time, they don't seem to survive any longer outside being used in naming conventions. That'd be pretty cool if you noticed some Turkish names. *cough*
  15. There's been a couple times that they've left a spambot thread up to giggle at for awhile before removing it. x3
  16. As the back-and-forth in this thread clearly shows, it varies from RPer to RPer. Some might have already decided it's no longer the Umbral era once they completed the storyline. Some are going to wait til 2.1 and assume it's passed. Personally I'm probably going to be waiting until the first major expansion to be released before assuming anything in the current main scenario has happened, unless something blatant in game changes (for example, in 1.0 we could not ignore the passage of time due to Dalamud growing closer). There will never be a set date IC for everyone, I think. If the exact time period is extremely important to your storylines, then agreeing upon it withing your LS/RP circle would be advantageous, but don't expect the rest of the community to agree on it.
  17. Did a lot in 1.0.. Miss it. ;-;
