I know of one who's making it a big point to keep it as secret as possible so that he can dole it small hints here and there in-game, which I think is probably the best way to do it (otherwise you have issues with metagaming and the like). If you think about it, a true defector would try to avoid letting it be known as much as possible to avoid the very trust issues that you're talking about. Now that you know, you're going to have to analyze everyone you run into to figure out whether or not they may be a defector...

Another update for PSO2 comes out on Wednesday. The fall school semester is starting up as well. Then there's the piles and piles of anime piling up on my backlog... And I still have to write the profile for my alt. :< Too much to do, so little time... and I'll have even less of it when the launch arrives.

SweetFX files go into the FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game\ directory, not the \boot\ directory. Naturally, this means you edit the settings file in that directory, as the boot directory is useless for that. Thanks a bunch! If my count is correct, this marks the seventh time someone has posted a compliment for her. I am so proud.

So I threw in a bunch of shots of my alt, Seras, who is ever so adorable, into my album. And a couple of inn room shots: You can change that keybind, actually. Change the 'disable hud/ui' keybind to something besides scroll lock (I personally use ctrl+shift+h). You should do the same thing with the screenshot keybind (or remove it entirely) so that you don't have to deal with taking two screenshots at once (which can waste disk space and also causes a bigger stutter).

It's a good thing that this was caught during OB and NOT during early access or even the launch proper, but that's not really saying much. This is a gamebreaking bug. You have thousands of players who are literally completely unable to test anything else because, y'know, they're locked out. Yeah, this is absolutely the highest priority to fix, but what's most disconcerting about it is that it's an issue at the very core of their system. I've never experienced this issue with an MMORPG before - at most I've seen plenty of issues with servers being overloaded, disconnecting, excessive lag, etc., but I've never seen an issue where you are literally locked out of the game by a single bug. This tells me that there is something very, very wrong with how they're checking for whether or not a player is "logged in". As I read elsewhere, it is likely that the game crashed somewhere and the server has created some kind of paradox where it continually checks for whether or not the player is logged in but completely fails to actually make that check, and thus gets locked in a ridiculous loop where the player is assumed to be online even though there is no connection. The game should be checking for an actual connection, but for whatever reason the code does things differently. At any rate, as irritated as I am over this, I... Sorry, no, I'm extremely angry at this point. A full day of zero playtime because of a bug this... this ridiculous? Man, I don't even know what to say to that.

SweetFX has a negligable performance hit (1-2 FPS). 4x SGSSAA, however, cuts my FPS in half (so unless you're getting 90+ FPS normally, you'll probably want to downgrade to 2x SGSSAA). Edit: So, since I'm kind of bored because of the dreaded Error 3102 blocking my progress, I decided to remake one of my alts. Her name's Seras Celestia, and she's a Midlander.

Sure. I'm using this version of SweetFX and using these settings. I also have 4x SGSSAA enabled through Nvidia Inspector, using these AA bits: 0x004012C1 There's a guide for how to do that, here. Yes, this requires an Nvidia card. I hope this helps.

To be fair, even objectively, you can say they are in many ways better, in terms of things like crime rates, ratio of total population to incarcerated citizens, income equality, and so forth, all of which Japan ranks very highly in. On the other hand, living in Japan means dealing with tons of social pressures from every direction, hence the high suicide rates. But if you ask me, that's a small price to pay for living in a place with that low a crime rate.

TBH, I don't really care if they fix nothing else between now and launch. Not being able to login is, well, kind of gamebreaking.

SweetFX. I'm using these settings. They're pretty extreme at times, but I like what it does to metal textures.

Keep in mind that, unlike 1.0, we're dealing with lower-resolution textures overall, which cuts down on the file size dramatically (one half the dimensions on both sides equates to a quarter of the total data). When high-resolution textures are released (along with DX11 support), you'll see the file size balloon very, very quickly.

Funny, I can cook, but I can only do a handful of dishes... or at least, that I've even attempted to do. Spaghetti and meat sauce, a bunch of egg-related dishes, special fried rice, garlic shrimp, garlic & ginger salmon, fried corn, and a few other simple things like that. I'm pretty happy with my dishes (as is everyone who's tasted them), but I'm kind of frustrated with my own inability to experiment and do something new. I'm thinking I should challenge myself to do at least one new dish a week.

What about men who cook? Because I know plenty... Mmmm, barbecue~

I'm changing my old Elezen Marauder into a Miqo'te, yep. Not wasting all that gear and gil and XP and stuff, that's for damn sure.

I already posted this two hours ago, just FYI.

As someone who travels a lot and generally grooms herself (y'know, like a cat), T'rahnu will generally smell like wherever she's last been, along with the trace scents (probably only detectable by other Miqo'te) of cooked meat, leather, steel, and blood. Most of the time she has very little discernable scent, however. Aside from the scent of lies and dishonesty, that is. :angel:

Wow, I'm not really sure there's an opinion I could possibly disagree more with than this. In my view Guild Wars 2 is a freakish hybrid between tab-target and a proper-action game that should never have existed, a disgusting Frankenstein of a creation that tries to do everything and fails at everything. They lack the strong tells and intuitive hit detection of proper action games, and they lack the depth of play of trinity-focused tab-targeting MMORPGs, putting it in an awful twilight zone where it just doesn't do anything well. Or at least, that's how I feel about it. Obviously it worked for you, but as far as combat systems go it is VERY high on my list of 'most hated combat systems ever made'. As far as I'm concerned, you either go all the way in one direction, or you go all the way in the other, but you should never just compromise if it means your product becomes an indistinguishable, tasteless mess.

But the way the developers described the harder fights in the game, you'll have to maximize your DPS down to the decimal point to win the most difficult challenges. I somehow fail to see how that's very different from reflexes being a major factor in the design (and you can bet they will be a part, as you'll have to react quickly to certain changes on the field in order to succeed).
