So many, thank you all! I'll be working through these as I have time, but feel free to keep adding to the list! Much practice, very good, yesssss.
-
Hey that's actually not bad at all! That perspective is very tricky... Here's more foreshortening practice! I will spare you the pain of drawing suit of armor...for now. <__<

Gwaaa, such lovely style! Excellent stuff!

Holy smokes, such an overwhelming response! Thank you all so much for volunteering. I've hopped on these, and there will be many more to come as I go down the list!

I've been trying to get back into art lately, after facing a little over 2 years of a slump. I'm trying to build confidence and experience for maybe eventual commission-work? Hnngh. So I thought sketching some free portraits would be good for me! Just leave a screenshot of your character's face here, and I'll do my best to draw it for you. Be sure to include anything that might not be shown in the screenshot so that I can add it, like additional piercings, earrings, tattoos, hair ornaments, etc. That's it for now! Going to finish the current list, but nothing after November 15! Thank you for letting me use your face. +_+ Examples: https://i.gyazo.com/53deabfc25f02bee7e4c50ad2777b008.png[/img] Portaits completed: Inarah [ X ] Faye [ X ] Miss Mae [ X | X ] LystAP [ X ] S'imba [ X | X ] Nailah [ X ] Dis [ X ] Gerel Kha [ X ] Bishido [ X ] Renelle [ X ] Chip [ X ] SM Nick [ X | X | X | X | X | X ] Zelmanov [ X ] Misharu [ X ] Noxtis316 [ X ] RavieRaptor [ X ] Heidrek [ X ] Xivrez'to [ X ] CrimsonMars [ X | X ] Vasheno [ X ] Tyber [ X ] Hyakki [ X ] Arzilia [ X ] Siha [ X ] Kheja'a [ X ] Hutarin [ X ] RiniKett [ X ] Edgar [ X ] Roen [ X | X ] Martiallais [ X ] Ilwe'ran [ X ] Emreg Belthen [ X ] Thorson [ X ] Flynn Rosenberg [ X ] Zalina [ X | X ] Melkire [ X ] Coatleque [ X ] Crossguard [ X ] GhostlyMaiden [ X ]

Hmm, that's is strange. Maybe because it's a Legacy server? I'm not sure... But yes, keep trying! It should at least show up on the list of transfer servers, if you decide to go that route.

Hey, welcome! I've found RPing to be a great motivator for writing, plus it adds a bit of surprise since you never quite know what to expect from other players. I think you'll enjoy it! As for servers, Balmung is indeed the best choice for RP, but it can be painfully difficult to get into. Most people wind up having to make a character on one server, then pay for a server transfer over to Balmung. It's a little ridiculous. But keep trying! There's also some activity on Gilgamesh..and Jenova and Lamia, I believe? The majority of RPers are found on Balmung, though. :C

Hahaha, I loved it! The little 'heh' at the end got me. :'D So creative! I'm far too lazy to fiddle with macros myself, but I've been really enjoying seeing stuff like this! They seem to get more complex and interesting every time.

Hey there, welcome to the forums!

ohai Mae~ Excited to be here, thank you! ...I like your avatar. Xeno, let'sbehonest we both know that candy would be gone before it ever reached anyone else's hands. +_+

Hey everyone! ... Let's RP! I've found myself with a creative itch, and so I'm sticking all my active characters out there to see if anyone is interested in joining me in some mad storybuilding shenanigans! All of my characters are open to meet a variety of others. Give me allies; give me enemies; give me slice-of-life smalltalk; give me epic and dangerous plots. Development! I have plots and one-shot events available for those who struggle with hooks, and I'm looking to get my characters immersed in as many interactions and stories as possible. I want alllllll. I'm on the Balmung server. My timezone is EST/GMT-5, and I'm usually online after 7pm Monday-Saturday. Sunday is free and clear all day! I also enjoy Discord/Skype RP for those who have difficulty lining up times (since I can access messengers while at work), or if you would like some paraposting narrative. Or alternately, something nice and casual. So...let's get to it, yeah? +_+ http://i.imgur.com/FiUonW9.png[/img] Ruran Vas (who once called himself 'Locke Rinannis') is my longest-running character. His story has been going strong on FFXIV for nearly 2 and a half years! He's a quiet but kind-hearted Midlander who seems to be faced with adversity at every turn, yet somehow musters the strength to push through it all. After losing everything he loved for a second time, he's a broken man who wanders Eorzea, pulled along by his proclaimed 'duty', and led by a thread of fate that he doesn't entirely understand...nor one that he might survive. In a nutshell, Ruran is a lone voidsent slayer and artifact hunter. He follows rumors and whispers of corruption, and then does his best to dish out justice and bring things back to the light. He's a 'knight in shining armor', although...he often seems reluctant and distant in his work, having no small amount of burden on his shoulders. RPC Wiki: Ruran Vas IC Tumblr: The Man With No Face http://i.imgur.com/gNNYNkb.png[/img] On the opposite side of the coin, I have Madoc Parnell. He's a scarred-up, shirt-forsaking, and fun-loving Xaela with a penchant for mischief and witty banter. He enjoys a good drink and revels a good battle even more. Despite his teasing (and sometimes unabashed flirting), deep down he's a caring Au Ra who can be quite insightful from his lifetime as a mercenary. He's a father-figure to some...and a terrible-influence uncle to others. Often both. First and foremost, Madoc is a mercenary. Bodyguarding, monster hunting, bounty hunting, escorting caravans, being a bouncer: if he gets a chance to make gil by swinging his oversized blade around, he'll do it. As a side, he's also a decent bartender, knowledgeable of drinks and good at reading when someone shouldn't see the bottom of another glass. RPC Wiki: Madoc Parnell IC Tumblr: In Blood and Bond http://i.imgur.com/THyYjcE.png[/img] The newest of my characters, Tamuh Lhevi is an energetic reporter for the Mythril Eye. She often prowls around the city-states in search for the truth. Or whatever she believes to be the truth! ...She's on a lower rung of the journalist ladder. Definitely-not-sneaking into buildings, totally-not-eavesdropping on a juicy conversation, certainly-not-wedging herself into meetings, and absolutely-not-breaking several laws in the process, she'll go the distance for the sake of a good scoop. Tamuh is a bottle of curiosity and loves learning about new people and stories, offering a flurry of questions with notebook in hand. A notebook which has gotten her into a lot of trouble in the past. RPC Wiki: Tamuh Lhevi (Under Construction) IC Tumblr: None yet! http://i.imgur.com/EiIHXTG.png[/img] For those interested, here is Atreus del Alumet. A man once, this raen is a glamoured voidsent who skulks around the continent to prey and feed on the innocent. There is very little redeemable about him, being a paranoid, silent, and violent sort who would sooner rip someone in half than negotiate. So far, I've only used him for limited circumstances, since he can be very abrasive and isn't good for multiple social encounters. But he exists! If you want a wild and dangerous conflict, or a voidal encounter for a survival story your character can share, Atreus is your man! He's currently Wanted by all city-states, and he is easily driven to rage. Perfect for conflict, that much is certain! RPC Wiki: Atreus del Alumet IC Tumbr: The Everwatcher Thank you! Just leave a line here/poke me ingame/send me a message, and we can work things out. I look forward to hearing from you!

Wasn't sure whether to make a post in here or jump right back in, since my last post was in February. But then I thought hey, what's the harm! So, re-hello everyone! I've been crawling around the forums for the past couple months, reading and rating and such. Looking forward to leaping back into the community! My main character is Ruran Vas, though you may have known me/him as Locke Rinannis when I was frequenting the forums last. I'm always open for more RP or just a friendly OOC chat, so feel free to give me a poke!
-
I have been directed! My character, Locke Rinannis, tinkers/builds with magitek (though yes, he will be very modest about it QQ). He actually runs a repair shop in the Goblet, Ward 1 Plot 51, if you're looking for an easy hook!

Ho there, it's your newest Agent Locke, here to give you the recent happenings in Jackal & Hide! There will be no puns. These month's events were frightening(I lied) delightful! All was well... Our Craft Faires were moving ever forward with the Jackals displaying their finest wares for the community, members gathering weekly at the Missing Member which is ironic since members try not to miss it, fighting Garleans and putting an end to the threat against the Jackals... http://files.enjin.com/925363/module_gallery/full/2409091.jpg[/img] And then...All Saint's Wake. It all began with a strange happening around the house, a spooky painting, a horrific haunting with dancing and singing―whether they liked it or not! The festivities, perhaps, put the Jackals on the wrong foot(ugh), or perhaps...the right one? Maybe both, alternately, in rhythm..! Our very own Sunny Seaside Bar riled and reveled with in these spooktacular(no) traditions, with a dastardly disguises and bloodcurdling beverages! Congratulations to the winners of the contest, your costumes were a treat(I'm so sorry) for all, make no bones(help) about it! http://files.enjin.com/925363/module_gallery/full/2413814.jpg[/img] But with the All Saint's Festivities a mere ghost(no more) of our past, the Jackals moved forward! First with our Legend of the Jade Chocobo, where we followed the tricky trail of transcribed tablets into tiers of traps! We came out of it...mostly unscathed, but not without a chest of shiny booty and another tablet! http://files.enjin.com/925363/module_gallery/full/2418493.jpg[/img] Donned in bling and looking dapper, the Jackals went undercover in the hopes of finding a murderer aboard a fancy boat party off the shores of Costa del Sol. We got up close and personal with the nobility, rooting out sources while trying to be as unconspicuous as possible. And we got our man! Sort of. Man of a man, but close enough, right? Right..? http://files.enjin.com/925363/module_gallery/full/2421947.jpg[/img] There's been pony farming, grinding Alexander's gears, and prepping our airships for some exploration (2 built within the month). Needless to say, we're ready for the new content that's been unleashed in 3.1! See you all there!

Hello again! Another month has flown by, and it was another great one! Welcome our new members: Akino Naeuri, Cirina Dotharl, Ico'ya Hiahr and Alistor Strange! And boy did they jump right into the thick of things... Events Past events, as always, are written up and maintained by Istellia here: All the events! All the things! http://files.enjin.com/1055078/Blog%203/solaris_report3_2.png[/img] Things are never simple, and such was especially true for our heroes as they tracked down a thief in Revenant's Toll! Turns out it was a wolf, which they chased halfway through Coerthas, inevitably meeting a raen who had much grander plans in store for the group. Fighting off a magitek colossus, trodding in a field of snow-hidden beartraps, and ultimately setting the entire area on fire because of ceruleum? All in a day's work! http://files.enjin.com/1055078/Blog%203/solaris_report3_3.png[/img] Ah, the Mythril Vanguards, ever a thorn in Solaris's side. A thorn that was removed, at least somewhat, as the group ventured forth to retrieve a captured Osgar from the hands of the Vanguards. Fighting ensued, as it tends to do, and an epic battle resulted in several dead rival mercenaries. (One requiring to be killed twice. It happens.) And only a few major wounds on the winning side! Also a cool sword. Oh, and Osgar. http://files.enjin.com/1055078/Blog%203/solaris_report3_4.png[/img] Speaking of Osgar, he soon went missing again after his escapade with the Vanguards. The group started in Wineport where he was last seen, and traversed through the jungle in search of their favorite lancer, eventually coming upon a shack where Osgar been taken hostage. By a Wanted mad alchemist. And zombies who wanted hugs. Hugs that were reciprocated by swords, punches, and bullets, and then our heroes hobbled home with the bounty! Oh, and Osgar. http://files.enjin.com/1055078/Blog%203/solaris_report3_5.png[/img] Thanks to a little reprieve (and a slightly tipsy Istellia), Solaris took an impromptu trip to Costa del Sol! Sun, sand, jellyfish pudding, what more could one ask for? Relaxation, a but of beach sparring, and all seemed to be a little more refreshed by the end! http://files.enjin.com/1055078/Blog%203/solaris_report3_6.png[/img] Solaris decided to strike back at a foe who had been toying with the group for several weeks. Solaris planning an ambush...that eventually resulted in a counter-ambush, but the group pushed through and survived! Realizing too late that Temame had been captured and replaced with the very man they had sought to pursue. He got away, but only barely. Sneaky. Afterwards, the group got some much-needed rest and looked for a way to retrieve their kidnapped engineer! Recruitment: Closed We are currently not accepting applications. However, if you're interested, you're more than welcome to contact us! Once we get our new members acclimated, we'll open up again, and connecting through RP is almost a guaranteed way to join up. Just throw us a line! Future Plans Keep on truckin'! We've got more events planned, especially as the holiday season draws near. Can't stop, won't stop. See you in the next update!

Hey there! It's been a fantastic month for Solaris Edge. Lots of things going on, from sparring to big jobs to getting drunk and flying around the Forelands. But first, a big welcome to our newest members: Khatar'sae Banchamek, Uldar Qestir, Sahn Catal, and Osgar Forester! Welcome! Events Summaries of past events and its attendees can be found here: Check 'em out, catch up, relive! http://files.enjin.com/1055078/solaris_report2_2.png[/img] After two big confrontations in a row from our 'friendly competitors' the Mythril Vanguards, Madoc surprised the company with a day at the Camp Bronze Lake hotsprings for some much-needed relaxation and recovery. A good time was had by all, hanging out and getting to know each other a little better. And our esteemed lady-leader Istellia even managed to get a little sun! http://files.enjin.com/1055078/solaris_report2_3.png[/img] The next week, with the addition of two members, introductions were in order! And what better way than through beating each other up? Sparring matches were arranged outside Mor Dhona, and the Solar...s... (I swear I'll think of something better) tested their might against one another. Blows, taunts, and laughter were exchanged (and maybe a bit of blood, woops), followed by some drinks at the local bar! http://files.enjin.com/1055078/solaris_report2_4.png[/img] The first big job since the Mythril Vanguard ambush. Things can't ever be simple, and a discreet escort from Camp Dragonhead to Fallgourd turned into a chaotic battle against heretics and a dragon. Our noble heroes managed to fight off the attackers, but not without gaining a few wounds of their own. The job was completed, and the group settled back at the Observatorium for some rest. Time to put that new healer to (more) work! Recruitment We're a nice size now, but we may consider 1-2 more members. If you want to join our ragtag group, please you're more than welcome to message me on these forums, check out our website, or find Madoc Parnell/Istellia Montagne ingame! Update (Sept. 22): Closed Since this post, Solaris has continued to grow! In order to acclimate our new members and see how we handle as a group, recruitment is temporarily closed. Please check back again at a later time, if you're interested in joining! Future Plans More events, more RP, more connections, more everything! If you or anyone you know is at all interested in being connected to Solaris Edge, whether as a member or an ally, please let us know! See you all next time!

"So you want to be a mercenary, aye? Can't say I blame you. The work's good, the pay's better, and y' can't put a price on good company. Sound good? Sit down, grab a pint, and I'll tell you all about it." BASIC INFORMATION Solaris Edge is a merry band of misfit mercenaries based in the northern regions. Led jointly by Istellia Montagne and Madoc Parnell, the group strives to make a name for itself (and get filthy rich) through various jobs, from escorts to gladiatorial tournaments, to hunting dangerous beasts deep in the wilderness, to anything inbetween and beyond! The company is just getting started. We're small but active, and our recruitment is open. We're seeking some like-minded individuals to help us make this group really come to life! Along with a free company, Solaris Edge also has an IC linkpearl for long-distance communication. If you do not wish to join the company, but your character would like to be allies with us, that's also fine! We have an official FC event every Saturday, with social RP fairly often during the week. More is always welcome! If interested, feel free to do one (or more, we won't judge) of the following! Message me (Locke) on this forum. Contact Istellia Montagne or Madoc Parnell ingame. Leave an application on our website!

Let's not read too much into one passing sentence of the OP's post, yeah? (Even though admittedly, they could have phrased it better.) This thread is about how awesome these new armor sets look, and they all really do look fantastic. I love the ones on the third row, I've been hoping for some more barbaric/brawler-looking armor, with a lot of fur and trappings, yessss. +_+ I'm pleased to see FFXIV's overall style moving toward a more gothic theme.
-
Come on, SE. After putting in the Koenig and Ares sets from FFXI, you know you wanna.
-
This sounds like an excellent idea and one that Locke would likely attend! \o/
-
Ah, excellent! Sounds just like the kind of thing Locke could do. I'll contact you shortly! Atreus would be a great adversary for Oskwell, at least just for random clashes between the two. He's been spending a lot of time in Limsa lately, but I can see him going back to the Shroud very soon. Aha! That would also suit Vhali well, since she has a disreputable background. She and her sister are more well-known in the Black Shroud than anywhere else, so it's possible he could have heard of them in passing. I like both of these ideas!
