Locke/Ruran is an emotional roller coaster. He tries to avoid getting drunk publicly because he becomes embarrassingly transparent. His highs are high, he speaks whatever is on his mind, and then he gets confused...and then suddenly he's a puddle of misery on the floor woops Madoc becomes boisterous if he's around a rowdy group, but he's definitely a more chill type of drunk in most cases. More cuddly and willing to take risks, if that's even possible. :U But ultimate result is likely snuggling and napping.

Most RP is done outside of linkshells, actually! It may have been a quiet night, or perhaps in party chat. But yeah, try again at a different time! Or this weekend, I'm sure things will be bustling. Don't forget that you can always make a new character on Exodus, if you're missing your friends! You don't have to leave them completely. ^^ Welcome, though! I hope to see you around.

This plot has changed and is no longer Rinannis Repairs. The Goblet, Ward 1 Subdivision, Plot 51 The Dreamer's Reprieve - A small inn, tavern, and public performance venue, open for public RP. The Reprieve has an RPC wiki with details/menu.

A masked man occasionally pops to and from the otherwise locked and unlabeled door. When is it open: By IC invitation. Break-ins are also acceptable upon OOC discussion!

I saw these over at tumblr, and *shakes Clover* you have absolutely nothing to be self-conscious about! These are pro quality! I could see these on a book cover or being sold at conventions as prints, they're that fantastic! You have so much skill, in your fine lines, clean shading, and on-point anatomy, that you should feel confident in sharing these with the woorrrld.

Ruran's voiceclaim...is unfortunately not a very well-known actor. The closest I've been able to picture him is with Freddie A'Brassard, the voice actor for Artorias in Dark Souls...whose lines never even made it into the actual game. >_> rip The doubled/echoing tone works well too, since his voice can take on that effect in certain situations. Hello and welcome to the community! FFXIV was the first MMO I ever RPed in too, and I found it to be a great for breaking in your RP shoes. I've tried others since then, and most seem to...lack something. I can't quite put my finger on it. Something something immersion something Awyes, Arcanist is a great class! And it gives you a choice between a healing or dps role after 30, which is always nice (and something I wish other classes did). But yes, welcome! I hope to see you two around.

I am a little disappointed that the mohawk/mullet-ish-hairstyle doesn't have the sides shaved for Miqo'te and Au Ra. The patch 3.4 preview picture deceived me! I understand why (horns and race models and pixels), but dangit, I wanted an ingame mohawk for my trashlizard. >

Locke started by being possessed and murdering his parents, resulting in the exile from his quaint little village. He then wandered south past Gridania, to Ul'dah, where he began to pick up the pieces of his life. But several months ago, Locke lost everything he had built. He was then offered a deal he couldn't resist (though I think right now he's beginning to wish he did). Regardless, he took up the alias 'Ruran Vas' and set off on a new path, one that he never would have anticipated. New adventures await!

Hello hello! If you're having trouble, it may be good to start with a theme or occupation (skypirate, medic, thief, etc). Or think of a character from a story that you enjoy, and adjust ideas to fit your own unique character. Once you have the basic concept down, you can nail down specifics. Their backstory, personality, hobbies, future goals, and so on. And then yeah, as Sickety said, try some light RP with someone. Test out the character, try to figure out their personality, and when you're comfortable, you can move on to public events and walk-ups. Good luck out there!
