If you turn off your HUD, you can still use abilities. So...while spamming my 1-2-3 combo, I just turn it off real quick, snap a few shots, and then turn it on again. Ninja screenshotting!

I think I've got my main (Ruran) up to snuff. Mostly upgraded, finished Coil a long time ago, and have been working on collecting tomes for my secondary classes. Also been saving up gil for whatever nice glamours/furniture is released. +_+ I tagged along with the cool folks over at JH-RP and OoO to get Coil completed on my alt (Madoc) yesterday! We went through T1 all the way to T13, and it was an awesome trip. Madoc's not as geared as Ruran, but I think he's pretty set for the patch. I'd still like to get more tomes for him though, just to give his ilevel a nice boost. Mostly just fidgeting, ready to tackle the content as soon as it's released.

I know exactly what you mean, it can be rough if you suddenly don't have access to a PC for a certain amount of time. Like Gegenji said, life has become very indendent on it! Or at least the internet in general. Fortunately there are things like forum RP and Skype/Discord RP if the game itself is giving you trouble. And outside of the PC, there is also the great outdoors...even if it's terrifying. Fresh air, what do Hopefully the specialist will be able to clear things up on Monday. Just keep your head up! Take things one step at a time so as not to overwhelm yourself with worry, and soon you'll be running around ingame with us again in no time! And yes. Definitely, definitely back up your files. Hhhhgh.

Baww poor lalas. :< I've met a few great people from Faerie, and it'd be my server of choice if I wasn't so entrenched in Balmung (and if I didn't RP, of course). I was part of a Balmung PvP group that used to time our queues with a Faerie PvP group and team up for Secure...months ago, hngh. It was great though, we'd wreck. +_+ Welcome to Balmung! Hello and welcome! Yeah, unfortunately Balmung is filled to the brim with players, so it can be impossible to grab a spot. :C Hope to see you around though, if you decide to transfer! If you're thinking of doing that, I would suggest making all 8 characters on a different server, and send sending them to Balmung all at once. Alongside sketching way too many portraits, I've been trying to draw other things as well! A lot of these are posted on Ruran's IC tumblr, but not all of them, so I figured I'd show stuff here as well! Also maybe commission info? ...Someday? Someday. Sometimes I comic. And test Photoshop brushes. And draw other people's characters! And other such sketches.

Right now it's pretty lackluster. Use an emote (optional), type /gpose, and your character will face the camera and loop that emote endlessly. You can spin the camera around, click/tab between targets (like minions), and it has a nice static depth of field, but that's ultimately it right now. People are already so creative with screenshots, I'd love to see almost a comic book-type story made by posing characters and such. I'm trying not to get my hopes too high for this, but it's an idea to consider!

Yeah, I've been having Weeping City woes as well. It seems like I can't get into a group in the past few weeks who don't wipe on Forgall/Ozma/Calofisteri at least once (often 2-3 times each) due to little mistakes like not killing adds or tanking them correctly. In one instance, the bickering over the alliance chat was so bad that no one was focusing on the fight. A bunch of people were being petty, insulting each other, comparing epeens. :I Eventually a Vote Abandon succeeded at Ozma, after the alliance wiped 4 times. What's going onnnn

According to this blog, it looks as though /gpose is getting a huge upgrade in features! Lighting, pausing your emotes, color filters, depth of field... As someone who enjoys adding screenshots to go with their stories, this is great! The ability to pause emotes alone is going to add a bunch of storytelling and editing capabilities. Unfortunately I can't read Japanese, so I don't know if this is being released in 3.4 or simply 'soon'. But still! SCREENSHOT HYPE. (Edit: Should this be in FFXIV News? I don't know, I just want to discuss what people plan to do with this. +_+)

It was awesome to do this with you! I had such a great time, and the end result was AMAZINGGGGhhhhhhhhthankyousomuch! I can't recommend Ilwe enough for these commissions. Friendly, professional, and fast! Plus there were plenty of WIPs posted that let you see your piece in progress which was fascinating.

Don't worry about it! BBC code takes a bit of getting used to, and imgur has been doing something funky with its direct linking.
