  1. They added swimming to all wards. ... I only just now noticed that a couple of those screenshots are in the Beds after you said that. Go me. Order of the images are: Lavender Beds, Mist, Shirogane, The Goblet
  2. They added swimming to all wards. Ultimate Bahamut Weapon shown off. They have twisters in phase 1, right before the stack for the fireballs ; ; The Unending Coil of Bahamut (Ultimate) The new weapon’s item level and sub attributes will be the same as the Genji weapons and contain three materia slots. You will need to be item level 340 and have completed Omega: Deltascape (Savage) v4.0 to challenge the battle. Upon completion, all players will receive a token which can be exchanged for a weapon of their choice. These are individual loot and can be obtained once a week. This doesn’t mean that the number of chest will decrease even if you go again after completing to help others. We would like to receive feedback on the fight, including feedback on the difficulty. The Unending Coil of Bahamut (Ultimate) is tentatively scheduled to be implemented in Patch 4.11. We’re aiming to launch it two weeks after the release of Patch 4.1.
  3. Relocation Service (We showed gameplay of the relocation feature, Shirogane, and the other three city-state housing areas.) Steps for Relocating Access the sign board for the plot you would like to relocate to. Even if you already own a plot, select the option to purchase the plot. Select the option to relocate. The cost for relocation, which is the destination plot price minus 30% of the old plot price, will be displayed. Once you make the purchase, the relocation is complete. Misc. Chocobo stables and miniature aetherytes cannot be moved to the storage, so it will be moved to the new outdoor area automatically. A new storeroom option will be added to the furnishing list. Players will be able to place indoor/outdoor furnishing directly from the storeroom. Large estates will be able to store up to 400 furnishings. We're gradually making it so furnishings are no longer destroyed upon removal. We would like for players to move furnishings, such as the seasonal furnishings, into the storeroom. We added quite a lot of Asian-themed furnishings. Storerooms will be available for all housing types, including personal chambers and apartments.
  4. They're currently showing how Shirogane and House Relocation works! HUD Update A major update will be made to the buff and debuff information. Until now the setting for buffs and debuffs were inside the Character Configuration > User Interface settings; however, we will be moving this to the HUD layout. Buff/Debuff Status Information Under the HUD layout there will be an individual HUD settings on the right side of the buff/debuff status HUD. Players will be able to: Prioritize displaying the buffs added by you. Display buffs added by others. Adjust the size of the display. Adjust settings so that the window won’t be focused when using a gamepad. Choose how buffs are displayed. With these settings, players are able to customize the buff information as they wish. Target Information By checking off an option to separate the details of the target information under the individual HUD settings, players will be able to separate the displayed information. You can separate the enemies HP, cast, and buffs and debuffs. Job Gauge Players will now be select a simplified version of the job gauge. Bards and machinists requested to display the time for Straight Shot and such, so we have added these into the job gauge. Lost Canals of Uznair Players will be able to discover new maps leading to deeper, submerged chambers in the canals. Players will need to go underwater to explore, and the portal is guaranteed to open. There are three doors, and they will feature various monsters with mechanics as well. When opening the chest, there is a chance to double up, with a maximum of five steps. Enemies are quite strong, so we recommend challenging it with 8 players.
  5. Copying the OF posts in case users cannot read them there. Patch 4.1—The Legend Returns arrives on October 10! Adventurer Squadron Dungeon Exploration Dungeon Exploration will be available once the squadron reaches rank 2. The party composition will be a tank, a healer, and two DPS. Players will be able to enter the dungeons with a light party comprised of the player and three squadron members. In Patch 4.1 there will be a total of five dungeons available. Mission Instructions Players will be able to assign the type of AI. By gaining experience they will receive a buff. At the beginning, you will be restricted to the “Free” style. Squadron Glamour Players will be able to change the squadron member outfits. (During the show, we showed live gameplay of the dungeon exploration.) There are commands to give orders to the squadron members. Players are able to order to attack, fall back, and use Limit Break. (During the show, we also demonstrated squat, push up, and sit up emotes which are part of the reward.) Job Adjustments Various job adjustments will be made in Patch 4.1. For the full details, please refer to the patch notes once they're available. WAR: Steel Cyclone HP potency increase, Fell Cleave changes, Shake it Off will shield all party members. DRG: Heavy Thrust potency changes (less penalty on missing positional), Dragon Eyes for BotD lowered to 3 from 4. NIN: Doton tweaks, Shikuchi animation lag reduced. SMN: Pet MP cost reduced, changes to DWT, Ruin III is oGCD while in DWT, Aetherpact/Devotion buff party in range, Bahamut smaller. The Bahamut change is with a command you enter for client side only. MCH: Hypercharge buff! SCH: Adloquium cost reduced, Addle Manashift and others have shorter recast times, Surecast tweaks. The Minstrel's Ballad: Shinryu's Domain (During the show, we showed a brief look at the battle and battlefield.) When compared to Susano and Lakshmi extreme, the difficulty is much harder. We aimed for a difficulty in between Omega: Deltascape (Savage) v2.0 and v3.0. There’s a different DPS check, and a new healing check. Would appreciate if you could please enjoy the overall battle itself as well. Players will receive a weapon as a reward. For players struggling with the giant in Omega: Deltascape (Savage) v3.0, we would like you to try and obtain the weapon from this battle first. Perform: The bard-specific action Peform will be implemented in Patch 4.15 The musical notes played go through the server before reaching other players, therefore even if you’re performing it correctly, depending on the other player's connection there may be instances where lag occurs. In order to improve this, we will add a process where it will send a specific amount of packets at once to alleviate the lag. For this reason, the implementation will be pushed back from what we originally planned. We would like to add more features to the group pose feature as well. For example, we’re thinking of adding more animations and types of musical instruments, and a mode where you can perform with everyone in the party. Please note, you cannot use this with a macro. Instead of everyone being able to perform the same thing, we want everyone to practice and perform their best!
  6. Go Go Go! Patch 4.1 Drops October 10!!! Translated to English on the Official forums here http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/346612
  7. Reminder that this comes up soon! The following are links to watch! [link=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YK5Vs7D8ye8]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YK5Vs7D8ye8[/link] http://live.nicovideo.jp/gate/lv306753820 https://www.twitch.tv/finalfantasyxiv I can never remember how to just link the youtube and not make it embedded
  8. When you look at the items they generally look like this (it's 5:20am at work so I didn't pull directly from the game this is from the lodestone). You can see the Item Level is right under Physical Damage / Auto-Attack / Delay. The level to equip your item is obviously there as Lvl 50 under which Classes/Jobs can equip the item. Underneath, Bonuses gives you better idea on what secondary stats the equipment gives. There were things such as Accuracy caps, or how much Skill Speed allows a Job to go through a full rotation etc. Nice thing about getting to i130 is that you won't 'need' to upgrade through the dungeons until you get to the 3rd Heavensward dungeon. Less of a hassle with how they updated the loot drops but this means you don't have to run them over and over to keep gearing while you level. Ok found some in-game examples, as you can see, "ITEM LEVEL" is highlighted in the darker bar. Right underneath it states what Classes/Jobs can equip the item. Underneath the class/job restrictions is the level you can equip. Average gear level is the average item level.
  9. It's utterly terrible. You're running a 5-man Canals run, trying to eat a cookie while thinking of crabs, and to top it off a ton of those mobs are incredibly annoying to kill as a Samurai AOEing. Also, elephant mob dropped a ton of times and I had to stop eating the cookies! They tried to blame the cookies for the troll doors! :<
  10. Yesterday I had to do maps with people who made fun of my coconut tapioca starch cookies, my pronunciations of Miqo'te, and my desire to eat crabs when the map spawns had a batch of crabs each time. :< :<
  11. That's also really only for Ramuh Extreme. HM doesn't require it and most groups will ignore the orbs except for Rolling Thunder. (You're more likely to just cleave and kill someone at that.)
  12. http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/topics/detail/357eaeba3082a4a64121c448d300ea0fbb94223c Friday, September 29, 2017 from 4:00 a.m. (PDT) Twitch Topic! This second part of the Patch 4.1 preview will give you a glimpse of new content including the new alliance raid Return to Ivalice, the Shirogane residential area, updates to adventurer squadrons, and more! Expect to learn 4.1's Drop date at this PLL!
  13. For those who want to check what 30% of their current plots will be like. The Goblet Mist Lavender Beds Shirogane map uploaded!
  14. Shirogane Housing Starting 4.1, housing in Shirogane will be available. Just as with the other zones, Shirogane will have 12 wards, each with its own subdivision. Relocation (http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/topics/detail/d781e0d538428aef93b8bed4b50dd62c3c50fc74) Relocation allows players to move their estate hall and accompanying furnishings to a new plot. The destination can be situated in any residential area and be of any size. Relocating to a New Plot To begin the process, inspect the placard located at the entrance of the destination plot and select Purchase Land. A prompt for relocation will appear, allowing you to move your estate immediately after the purchase is complete. You are not required to relinquish ownership of your old plot prior to relocation. In the case of company estates and estate sharing, all players with access to the estate will receive a notification when the process is complete. * Only free company members who have been granted authority to purchase and relinquish land can relocate company estates. * Players who are inside an estate at the time of relocation will be automatically moved outside. Cost of Relocation When purchasing a plot for relocation, 30% of the minimum value of your old plot will be applied towards the price of the new one. (Cost of Relocation) = (Destination Plot Price) – (30% of Old Plot Price) * In the event reimbursement for the old plot exceeds the price of the destination plot, the cost of relocation will be waived. Please note, however, you will not receive gil for the amount that exceeds the cost of the destination plot. Furnishings Upon relocation, placed furnishings including those normally discarded after removal will be put in a storeroom at the destination plot. See below for further details about storerooms. While the limit of storerooms is normally dependent on plot size, the limit for all plots will temporarily increase as follows to accommodate relocation: Indoor Furnishings : 400 items Outdoor Furnishings : 40 items This limit is based on the maximum number of indoor and outdoor furnishings allowed for large plots to ensure players can immediately relocate upon the release of patch 4.1. However, you will not be able to complete relocation if the total number of items placed both in your estate and stored in your storeroom exceeds 400 indoor furnishings and 40 outdoor furnishings. Please note that chocobo stables and miniature aetherytes will not count toward this limit, as they will be automatically placed in the garden of the destination plot. * The teleport destination for miniature aetherytes will be automatically changed to that of destination plots. * Private chambers and company workshops will be moved in their entirety and retain their state. * Additional items cannot be placed in the storeroom after relocation while exceeding the normal storage limit. Exterior Fixtures Default exterior fixtures will be altered to match the new residential area and plot size, in the event that they are different. Unique exterior fixtures (e.g. Paissa House Wall) will be carried over to the new plot. Example: Moving from a cottage in Mist to a house in the Goblet. Old Plot Exterior: Riviera Cottage Wall (Composite) Destination Plot Exterior: Oasis House Wall (Composite) Interior Fixtures Interior fixtures will remain intact, unless the relocation results in an estate hall with fewer floors. In this case, the fixtures will be lost alongside the floor. Miscellaneous The following will be carried over in their entirety when relocating to a new plot: Private Chambers / Workshops / Airships / Stabled Chocobos / Shared Estate Settings Sale of Old Plots Once relocation is complete, old plots will be made available for purchase to other players. Storerooms Patch 4.1 will see the introduction of storerooms, which offer additional storage space for estate halls, apartments, and private chambers. Furnishings normally discarded upon removal can also be placed in storerooms to be used again at a later time. * Relocation of an estate is not required to access storerooms. * Furnishings normally discarded upon removal cannot be returned to a player’s inventory. They must be placed directly from the storeroom. * Culinarian furnishings that grant attribute bonuses can only be returned to a player’s inventory if they have never been used. Storeroom Limit The number of items allowed in a storeroom is equal to the number of furnishings that can be placed in the estate. Private Chambers/Apartments: Indoor Furnishings: 100 Outdoor Furnishings: - Cottages Indoor Furnishings: 200 Outdoor Furnishings: 20 Houses Indoor Furnishings: 300 Outdoor Furnishings: 30 Mansions Indoor Furnishings: 400 Outdoor Furnishings: 40 * When relocating an estate, the storehouse limit is increased to 400 indoor furnishings and 40 outdoor furnishings regardless of estate size. 15. I SHALL FINALLY BITE SOMETHING. 1. I'd love to go back home in Thanalan, especially Ul'dah but the politics there and I don't mix. I'll stick to the Lavender Beds. 2. Ulala of course! 3. I've moved through quite a bit of disciplines, dabbled in some and forced to drop the others. I think I'd like to start knowing how to use my own strengths and stature against others. I can't protect others as well if I lost my axe. Questions for below: 1. Has there ever been an incident or person who turned your beliefs upside down? Something that has changed you? 2. To expand on #1, what do you think your life would be like now if you hadn't had your experience or met that person(s)? 3. The Sultana or The Syndicate?
  16. SCHEDULE IS UP. Up first is Megaman X! WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR???!!!!! @ 5:40pmish. I'll listen to that while eating Brazilian BBQ, sure.

  19. Two linkshells I see are http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=19690 and http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=19971. The former was recently posted in a couple of days ago. Doing a quick search on the lodestone said that Coeurl Open RP is the most active RP Linkshell with 'RP' in its name.
  20. What with Hurricane Harvey wreaking havoc, the Games Done Quick community is doing a marathon to benefit the Houston Food Bank! Sept 1 8pm EDT - Sept 3 8pm https://gamesdonequick.com/ Also, $4 from every shirt sold on https://theyetee.com/collections/hrdq will go towards The Yetee's donations to HRDQ! As of 8:30am PDT, over $1000 has already been raised. They've brought back the Save the Animals - Metroid shirt. I think this effort helped. I may have insider knowledge that Puwexil is doing a 100% Glitchless Chrono Trigger run MegaMan X4 Zero run so expect. Answer: THE HOUSTON FOOD BANK! Also on the list are Super Metroid (Save the Animals to win please!), Breath of the Wild and Link to the Past. Temp list of games can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vS-SFYQWdfE1SwB5md2iXUXUwdIe5Q4_MKXj1DPjsTIdLY14zc_10RrYqat8xysfNRWwILOg4BApydP/pubhtml?gid=1987307337&single=true
