I don't think you'd be off-the-mark at all to take on any sort of fashion or glamour! I know that quite a few weavers take this approach, and I absolutely love it. Its not much of a stretch to imagine a fashion world that is not unlike our own, though on a much smaller scale

Absolutely go for it! You wouldn't be the first. With Garlean trained engineers well established in Eorzea, and plenty of Garlean battlefiend scraps available, I imagine that the Mecha are not uncommon. No doubt a lore expert, like Sounsyy can fill you in with much greater detail

Hiiii! Welcome to Balmung and the RPC! I would not worry too much about in-depth wikis or connection threads, though they are not bad if you're excited to do them yourself! Just don't feel like they are required. I do like a basic wiki thread for sharing character information that there is no other way to easily gleam, but often forget to check! The best thing you can do is just get in there and RP and try to have a good time

If Verad is an archetype, we could use more of that kind! :-D I like to say that Aya is just a walking trope. But, really, she uses her stereotype rather effectively. That is, of course, related to another archetype They can be very hard to avoid because "There is nothing new under the sun." I certainly appreciate getting to know all sorts of characters.

Yeah, sadly, the best places for RPing "in Ishgard" were not in Ishgard! I.e. in housing, or whatever representing places in Ishgard. Its a very lovely city, but the game form of it is certainly not crafted with RPing in mind. I really have no interest in Othard or Doma, and can't see RPing in either an onze. But I'm sure they'll be interesting to look at and run through PvE wise! Given the game scale its hard to imagine that either gets more than a slap and a dash of treatment, unless they're going to make new areas on a scale vastly grander than they have so far (which is always possible). I am definitely more interested in Ala Mhigan areas, hopefully its not just wilderness and ruins. Kind of curious how that all plays out.

Hello Kallera! I would not worry too much about synching a job to your RP unless you really want to (for whatever reasons you may have). There's certainly no necessary relationship between in-game character classes, and the RP of the character (though people do generally level a class that is related to their RP if any are appropriate ) So I would think more about what sort of character you would like to roleplay as its own question.

I'd like to attend if it fits the plan. If not I'll take a reserve spot instead :-D Edit: Sixth to sign up anyway, that works! :-D
