LOL! I have felt this way in Ul'dah though too. If you only knew how many times I have looped in and out between Thal and Nald trying to find one of the guilds on foot only to bail to the crystal (save me!!). And when I was leveling Paladin I always got confused if I tried to navigate that upper floor. Yes...I know it is a circle. So I got lost in a circle. *kicks rock* Stupid city anyway. Hehe.

Awww it's not so bad. Just take the first left past the second crystal on the right and then take the warp from....no no no the second crystal on the right, not the second right from the cystal! Great.....now you're in Bronze Lake. LOL! In all seriousness though most of the popular ideas for rp spots are in the upper deck and not so far away from each other. A short jog and you could touch almost all in a short time. PLACES I MEAN!! Touch all the places! Yeesh! Get your minds outta the gutter! Hehe.

Okay.....so tonight I plan to log in for a little while as Melodia and get things set up for her. Additionally I will set up a LS and invite whoever is interested in participating. That way we can keep in contact and would make sense anyway that the officers would be in touch. Also thank you to Rosekitten who has offered to assit if anyone needs help with the uniforms (YAY!). I'm so happy to see this taking root and getting set up. Like Erik had mentioned, it does provide for opportunities for cross city rp scenarios.

Thank you so far for the ideas and the posts. It's exciting to see some great ideas out there and even some interested. The overall goal, as always, is to attract folks to come and rp in the city. Setting up a stable environment will really help a group like this thrive. Please keep the ideas coming.

Yeah I thought about this. It wouldn't be too hard since the Yellowjacket uniform is fairly easy. and there are a few shady souls that are in the Wench and Member (LOL a new tavern name). I like the idea. Hell thats how Coatleque caught Ruru's attention when she came to Limsa; although not in uniform, her conversation with the innkeep caught his attention real fast.

I'll throw two more in: 1) I was in the Army stationed in Alaska for 4 years.....a lonnng time ago. 2) And I have been to Japan 3 times and speak pretty decent Japanese to this day.

I think initially we just want to get a few people to actually rp in the roles. I would throw the question out to those that play Sultansworn, or Brass Blades. When you are rp'ing in the official duty status in the city, how are you doing that? I mean, do you guys report to someone when you log in? Do you just wander? The questions sound silly, but I think we want to do it right and you guys seem to be doing it right. So, please pass along your advice. It would be greatly appreciated.

I respectfully disagree. There are places to rp in Limsa, and people do want to. It's not so much about lag or IC needs to rp there. We've kind of hashed this out already in the Limsa RP thread (see Zhavi's link below). It literally is that no one has worked to set up a centralized spot. In Ul'dah that is fairly easy as the Quicksand forms the lynchpin for the city. Limsa is trickier. And so without the lack of a central spot, folks sort of rp on their own, and what we are trying to do is set up a spot akin to the Quicksand where people can come to generally rp. And please don't read my reply as an attack or anything. Just letting you know there is a real desire for Limsa RP and Zhavi and other folks in the Limsa RP thread are trying to sort of develop it into a more set way in the city. *cheers everyone on*

Oh no worries. By shifting my alt Melodia to this it's a bit of a challenge story wise for her, but lol...I think she'd be more at home in Andy's business than in the Yellowjackets. But, I need to work a bit with her in game to get her to a place I feel more comfortable using her. And she would by no means replace Ruru for time. I think I can invest a decent amount with her especially in terms of getting stuff established. And if your alt is part that would be awesome. But initially I am going to try and get the ball rolling with Melodia and show folks that this is a good option.

Welcome to the the forums, the game and rp as well! I was in the same boat you are earlier in the year, so don't feel too nervous or shy because you will be fine. Everyone's really friendly here, even when we are arguing about one thing or another. And if you have questions, pm someone or ask openly in the forums. Someone will help you for sure. Yeah, if we can get some folks on board, I think it would be fantastic. We already have a core group of people in the the city that play on the other side of the law, so I really feel that it if we can set up folks to play on the opposite side, it will set up an solid rp dynamic within the city. That in place, other rp'ers and new folks will have a place to interact more openly. At least I think so.

Before my current life as an HR Specialist, was once a corrections officer at the same prison OJ Simpson is at in Nevada (Lovelock Correctional Center); though it was prior to his arrival.

I just want to send a very thoughtful thank you to Coatleque Crofte. She has nearly signle-handedly allowed me to breathe life into my alt villain Krell, who has been sitting on the shelf for months as I tried to figure out how to use him in game. And it was doubly frustrating since I had paid the transfer fee to bring him over from the Goblin server, and so seeing him unused and unsure how to use him broke my heart. When I made Ruru's back story I did not intend for Krell to be his brother. Krell was just a character for my endgame stuff with the multiple level 50s, but when I decided to use him as Nonotano, it was a fun idea but I was still very new to the site and to rp in general so I didn't know how to integrate a villain into the story (hence my threads asking and such). But thanks to people like Aya, Warren, Zhavi and most of all Coatleque, he is a living breathing character I can now log in and rp with. And I point out Coatleque because she has played along awesomely with this little jerk of a character, and I enjoy the exchanges between the two, and hope in game we can at least have one more (before she tries to lop his head off). So anyway, many many thanks, Coatleque. I truly do appreciate it.
