  1. Ruru was bound and couldn't see the others clearly. He heard the discussion and when Siha uttered her words he tensed and shook his head the best he could. "No! How could you?!" He had no idea of her intentions and his reaction was natural, believing that the woman he'd only briefly met had just sold the souls of two others from the caravan to the Ixal. He swallowed hard and glared praying that she wouldn't soon sell his soul to the their captors.
  2. Ruru walked between the buildings quietly, scanning the area for trouble, but moreso looking for the "mate" that Kink had assured him would be meeting him there. His simple brown hempen garb and red eyepatch screamed to the world that he was an easy target and one inclined to being easily overtaken. His training as a Paladin and at the Archer's guild in Gridania told a different story. But the men and women on the docks didn't know that, didn't need to know that. He kept the sharp dagger, the same one he'd held to Oath's throat, in his belt hidden from view in case he needed to act quickly. As he walked he glanced a man walking toward him and when he called out to him, he stopped and smiled. This was the man. Ruru reacted with only mild shock, restraining the urge to look at the man as he would a stranger and smiled. "By the Twelve it has been too long!"
  3. He nodded and walked away toward the docks. She didn't want him wasting her time, he could tell. "Aye. See you soon."
  4. He stopped her a second and nodded. "Aye....and I do have one question. Who'm I reporting to when I get to the docks? I figure just wandering around and calling for the Handers wouldn't help me in any case."
  5. The order to turn was barked and he eyed the blade drawn to his neck. He knew a fight was pointless and the rope brought forth told him that they had plans. Why show a man rope if you planned to kill him? He wondered this but turned as ordered, not interested in dying today. Not insterested in leaving Alulu alone. He whispered almost silently as he held his head down, back turned to the Ixal. "I'm sorry, dear."
  6. Ruru looked at her, and shook his head. He knew what he needed to do. And if he messed up...he'd be dead. He could only do his best to keep that from happening. "I'll be fine. When will I see you again?" His voice was measured, understanding and the last question carried a bit of concern, as one would be if thrown to the wild from his or her loving parents. His attempt to cover that nervousness was weak and poorly done.
  7. I'm in this FC and know the members.....(LOL love you guys!)...it's likely to be the latter. Edit: Depending on who's on duty, I'd say. LOL!!
  8. Well then time to get to it! LOL! *points at PM sent* And no.....no....no....Zhi is NEVER allowed to change! She's the surly, grouchy and tough as nails Miqo'te. Zhi as a Lalafell....? :dazed:
  9. That footman actually only needs to be hit once to get him to stop calling Goooooobies Oh! I never knew that. Thank you! Learn something new every day.
  10. This. I have a fantasia forever sitting in my retainer space. I'd only ever use it if Ruru was killed ICly and couldn't come back, but even then I'd need to be able to edit my name, so unlikely I'll use it. My take is, I'm Ruru. I'm a Lalafell. I was born a Lalafell and I will die as a Lalafell. Ruru faces a hard life. Short, teased quite often for his height, even bullied and threatened by some players for the same reason. Rejected by some people as "unable to rp with a Lalafell" because others play them in such a childish way. And I took that hard at first. Even considred changing for a minute. But then I accept the pitfalls Ruru faces as part of his life. They are hurdles which he must overcome. So yeah....no potions for me. Lalafell until the end.
  11. As a Bard I only ever need the marks the first time, maybe two...then I remember the order. Sometimes I see other DPS go for the wrong guy and get a bit rattled but I generally will know. Like in Halatali HM.....Solomon Moss dope guy goes down first. Brayflox, Goblin Footman goes down first so we don't get spammed by 10000000 gobbie birds. But yeah....the marks are helpful first time and then not needed and really only on new dungeons. I respect the tank's lead ALWAYS in instances and raids. Edit: Unless they suck and refuse to use flash, Shield Oath, etc. Then it's off with their heads.
  12. Me....but my page is terrible. I don't understand how to make it look decent like some folks or even close to awesome, like others. The template is nice but I don't understand formatting stuff to make it a workable page. So I tend to neglect it as a result.
  13. But the rolling potatoes hide danger behind their cuteness! .........................................................wait..... Potatoes? (lol)
  14. As some have heard when he laughs, Ruru has a deeper voice, not childlike at all. And I always hear him as very close to Michael Fassbender in X-Men First Class. AZyX1YwPIyU
  15. Yessss.....the master race expands. Muahahahahahaha!!!
  16. LOL!!! You added the "tm" which made me laugh.
  17. WOOT!! *ICly Ruru runs to the bar and gets wasted.* :dazed: Haha! Congrats to you...er...I mean us....! LOL! We dun good!
  18. Back in his room he slowly packed his gear and smiled to himself. Nono was happy for the first time in a while. He sat on his bed in the Inn and laid back clasping his hands over his head. He had been aimless for so long and had worried his life was not worth spit. But then he found Ruru. And now he'd found the lovely Sergeant. His time with both of them was not nearly over. Not even close.
  19. Looking at her, he knew she was right, sensed it in every fiber but he desparately wanted to protest. Wanted to shout and throw a fit how he had earned his time to take a piece out of Tabart and that who was she to be lecturing him. He had the urge to draw his dagger and demand to see the man himself now or to go knocking on Thatcher's door himself. Fair? What was fair? He needed to secure his own safety and didn't want to rely on others and who was this one telling him, a Paladin, who and what his business was? And he - These thoughts raced through his mind. All at once, they came. And he hushed them. It took an extra effort and a half bit lip but he hushed the childish protests that would usually overtake him. Ruru knew that protests would prove fruitless and only serve to break this woman's already fragile patience with him. After hushing himself internally, he spoke, and his voice was measured and controlled. "Aye....I understand. I'll do what needs to be done."
  20. Ruru bristled a bit at her words... "...if she wants ye in on it..." Reaching his hand up to point and tap her arm, hoping to get her attention, he said in a low voice, "Look....I get that I'm an employee....but I've risked a lot coming here. I have others depending on me now....I better be in on it because I owe him one."
  21. He watched her grin, and understood something much bigger was at stake and he coughed to get her attention. "I have a question. When do I see Tabart?"
  22. He nodded. Plenty of time indeed. "I do believe we're done." He turned and limped away, not bothering to exhange wasted pleasantries. He moved toward the direction of the Quicksand and muttered quietly , a shade above a whisper. "....for now, anyway." He stifled a childish giggle as he moved out of her sight.
  23. He turned his head only slightly back toward her, his body still facing the other way, hands still clasped behind his back. He was smiling. "So that's it then. Tried and convicted without any evidence....sounnds like the Ul'dah justice I've come to rely upon over my years in the city." Turning, he winced slightly as the pressure on his knee was a bit much. His gaze was one of pity. "You have been duped...but not by me, my dear. You were duped by Ruru himself. He's been doing it his whole life. And you fell for that stupid smile and his white locks just as everyone else does. So loved and yet so worthless..." His words were becoming more heated and said through gritetd teeth at the end and he was looking beyond Coatleque to his childhood. He caught himself and refocused. "Two questions, Sergeant....for posterity. How long do I have to vacate the city?" His grin showed his teeth and he had a look of a wolf ready to pounce on his target prey. "And two....where was Ruru?"
  24. HIS BALANCE IS SUPER SAIYAN. Ready for it? "HE'S OVER 9000!!!!"
