His eyes never wavered...never blinked. Again, mind flashed back to the cruel and sadistic Melodia and the pain she put him through and knew this woman wasn't her. At least he was betting she wasn't. "As I recall you leveled the first threat....and that was running me through with a sword. Befitting I admit, of one allegedly guarding a Lalafell that's never around. Getting bored so let's terrorize the public." He laughed softly and shook his head, moving his hands behind his lower back and taking a step to the side, still watching her. "So you found Ruru....and the lost little lamb had what to say? He was 'out of town,' right? Sounds convenient. Sounds just like Ruru....always away when things happen." He giggled and turned his back on Coatleque dismissively.
-
He didn't move. He merely grinned at the woman, watching her dangle the threat before him as others had done. This woman was no monster....no Melodia. She was a sworn officer of the blah blah blah. He shook his head crossed his arms before and tilted his head a bit, still grinning. "Well, now. Guess I'm in big trouble then." His face suddenly went serious and he glared at Coatleque with a stare that cried a level of malevolence that was a complete switch from the pleasant grin before. "Now listen to me, Sergeant..." The word was layered in heavy sarcasm. "....I relayed information to you. You told me to come here. And now you threaten me in such a manner? I ought to report you to your superiors."
-
Approaching the fountain, his footsteps were a steady rhythm of alternating weights against the brick street. He saw the woman standing, waiting as she'd done before. He decided to wear a simple set of pants and a back tunic top, his crimson hair toussled by a slight breeze. As he ascended the steps with a slight groan he lookad at her with slightly narrowed eyes. "A pleasure to see you again, Sergeant. So you have news I assume?"

Not at all! Honestly, she was under-cover as it were, in her new outfit made by Otto. It would have looked weird for a Sultansworn in full regalia to be questioning people in Limsa. As much as she hates the work, I have fun playing her as the Lady Inspector/Ambassador. I hope she comes across as polite and proper in her dialogues. Ha ha! She was great! And you said the jursidiction line much nicer than Ruru was about to say. I was mid-way typing "And aren't you a little out of your jurisdiction? I don't recall any pink-haired Lalafell royalty around these parts." But then your post came and I was like..."well how can I say that now? I'd look like a jerk."

Wanted to say much thanks to the following after last night: Zhavi: Thank you so much for letting me play Ruru and explore a new avenue for him! It seems to be working out well and I am so happy with the dynamic he has right now with you and others as a result. ShayRei: For letting me into the Limsa world. Letting me in has expanded my RP opportunities and it's been a fun ride! And Coatleque Crofte: She brought all...ALL...of my rp stuff together last night and it was amazingly done!! For those that don't know, I have a forum thread for my alt Krell, and one for Ruru that I am working with Zhavi on, and in game I also have my rp with Ruru's IC life in Limsa. Well, last night Ruru was spending time in the Drowning Wench with his girlfriend and chatting about their future and like a movie, (though completely unscripted or unplanned) I saw Coatleque at a table across the way and said to myself "Hmmm...that's odd." And then she went and asked for information about my alias. Ruru had to confront her and it was brilliant! In a minute's time all three things collided and actually made sense! I was soooooo happy! Thank you Coatleque! It was fun and hope Ruru wasn't too much of an obstinant jerk and hope he didn't spoil her evening out. Thanks again to everyone involved. Looking forward to more.

Ruru sighed as he lay in bed, thinking of the events of the day. Alulu was asleep by his side and he welcomed her peace, wishing he could sleep. It was supposed to have been a simple night out, just the two of them, and that Sultansworn had shown up and spoiled it. Why in hells was a Sultansworn in Limsa? And why did she know him...his alias as well? She'd mentioned an Osric....he'd told her. That irritated him and he gritted his teeth. If Kink found out that his name had gotten all the way back to Ul'dah, she'd skin him alive. Crofte....that had been her name. She'd mentioned such confusing things and trying to sort them out in his head hurt. Someone implicating him of making threats against the city? Natalie "anything but a Ser anymore"? And Kage no longer a Lalafell? His world was just starting to make sense and she had come and turned everything upside down in an instant. He sighed again and closed his remaining eye as he turned on his side to sleep the best he could, wrapping his arms around Alulu, seeking comfort in the one person he felt he could completely trust anymore.
-
The mail made him chuckle. This Sultansworn was proving to be more entertainment than his brother ever could be, nor the drones at the Quicksand. If they knew how he loathed them they'd have his head just for that alone. He muttered to himself as he drafted his own reply. "'Has born fruit....' Ha! Fruit of a poisoned tree my dear Sergeant." Wrapping up he note, he walked and delivered it, looking sidelong down the street past the ridiculous dancers that seemed to thrive outside the Quicksand and to the large walls of the city. Perhaps he would find something to keep his mind occupied soon. Nono walked back toward the Steps of Thal, wanting some solitude prior to meeting with the lovely Sergeant. He was truly curious what she'd found. His note read: Sergeant Crofte, I am receipt of your letter. Perhaps we should meet at the same location as before in one sun. I pray we still have time to save the city. Krell

He flinched as the hand darted toward him. It was her first physical reaction to his lack of knowledge and he knew it would likely not be the last. As she explained the pitfalls he felt incredibly embarrassed he'd assumed it would be so easy. He nodded as she finished and looked up at her, with a hopeful smile on his face. "I can be jabbery if I need to be. I'm half stupid anyway....won't be much of a stretch to play full."

Defenders of Eorzea - Patch 2.3 trailer + Promo site
Melodia replied to allgivenover's topic in FFXIV News
Nearly every word of this post made me laugh out loud. -
Ruru gave her a look of dismissive scorn, mouth in a tight frown and all, at the last comment since he'd been a bit prepared something was going to be said. "No, I follow. When this man shows up and starts looking into things, I simply direct him to the supervisors. Seems simple enough."

What is the most appealing kind of character to you?
Melodia replied to Enzo's topic in RP Discussion
I think I play my character Ruru with a more inward ugliness. He's depressed, angry and as was pointed out in his rp once by said player I am quoting (lol) he's a spoiled brat who tantrums at the drop of a hat. Though he wears a weak mask of control and calm. I love this kind of character....conflicted and trying hard to mask who s/he really is. Why shows like Dexter and Breaking Bad appeal to me. When I rp I wonder when Ruru's inner ugliness will be seen by others. Some have seen glimpses, and others have called him on it a couple of times. Makes playing him fun. -
That guy......WTF?! :moogle: That is all I can come up with.
-
I wish the game let us have more LS's than the allotment. I'm at capacity already, sadly.
-
I have seen No. 3 start trouble in Gridania once. Ughh....
-
I have noticed that Ul'dah has slowly been overpoopulated lately by very odd folks and not the average roleplayers, so I have done my best to avoid the place. And yes....right outside the Quicksand there seems to be an overabundance of these people.
-
If you are based in Limsa (pirates in the desert?) then that would be great! I know the Limsa community is starting to grow and new fresh people would help out a lot!
-
The words surprised him and he looked a bit taken aback. "A new...mate? You mean someone to work with me? And who'd that be? I thought you were working with me." He looked genuinely confused but was begining to be unsurprised by the twists and nuances that Kink's plan seemed to entail. Simply put, he was no longer surprised at being surprised by this woman.
-
He heard Kink stand and walk out, and yet still remained fixated on his drink with slightly trembling hands for a few minutes. He wanted to drink it and yet he knew he couldn't. He set the cup back onto the bar and dropped a few coins onto the surface as well for the barkeep. Muttering a small thank you, he dropped from his chair and walked out, hoping a blade wasn't waiting to run him through the minute he was out.
-
Watching her leave he remained silent, as Oath had been. He looked directly ahead, not looking after her as she passed him, though he did catch Kink's head slightly turn. He waited until she was gone and then stood and walked back to the bar and his drink. Sitting, he took a small sip, his hand slightly shaking due to the combination of the alcohol and the excitement he felt. He stared ahead, as he didn't want to look over at Kink in case there were unwanted eyes on him.
-
He ticked off the instructions in his head as she stated them. He didn't want to forget...didn't want to mess anything up. Docks.... Evaluation...another test. Always tests for him, he thought. When she was finished, the words hanging in the air ominously, he nodded to her without saying a word.
-
He nodded, a firm and serious look upon his face, his eye fized upon her. "Aye."
-
He laughed a bit, quietly as if in on a joke that only he knew and then looked at her with a smirk. "It's Vivikuso. I'm certain I gave it to you already, but yeah...it's the name I claim."
