WoW Talk (Oh no...not this again)

That and...well there is a reason Blizzard trashed 40 man raids. My turn off from Wildstar before it went Free to Play was some people noting about how raids were 20 man and 40 man structured and what not. If endgame was going to be vanilla wow again i'd rather do a private server for that. Granted i saw some fights and they do look fairly hard from look alone -

I was expecting a neat idea of seeing a pre-shattered Draenor: I got that and liked it. I was expecting an epic narrative with the Orc leaders: I ALMOST got it but they ruined Bladefist during beta... I was expecting having Pre-Black Temple as ally base: Not happened. Lore would be bad: and got that. PVE would be fun: And it was. but that was 50% why i wanted WOD PVP would be fixed: and still nothing and stuff for casuals/stuff to occupy yourself with when not raiding: and...got nothing until like a week ago with the Valor grind and what not. Overall the game for me was a let down and boring. MOP was far more entertaining even back when it was current for me...except the legendary cape ground (I thought it would be class weapons...but i swear they changed it at the last second in 5.2) and at least in Cata i was doing things outside of raid. With WOd i did nothing. no need to gather supplies and stuff. all in your garrison. I'll still get Legion cause i like to raid and some of my pals are excited to play their class. Even our main tank was given the chance to be a Demon Hunter tank :3 -

please guys. this is what i was worried about when i would post something that involves World of Warcraft. I even said it at the start that this was not meant to start any debates idc what game has the more 'Difficult' mode of raiding when both are in a way equal in their own rights. Mythic 20 mans having difficulty with throwing in new abilities and even having one DPs dead during progression on them can lead to a wasted encounter much like in FF14 which it too has difficulty in it. Trust me, i learned the hard way after failing with Odin with minimal DPS on him and people not moving out of bad. BACK ON ACTUAL TRACK! They also recently posted the Artifact weapon talents on MMOchamp and Arcane Mage may be my new spec with not only being able to summon an arcane familiar but the hope that this one makes it into the game. Aegwynn's Ascendance (Rank 1) - Your Evocation makes you invulnerable and causes you to deal massive damage based on the mana your Evocation restores. :3 -

Having to think a few moments ahead rather than spam buttons to keep people alive can be a little inconvenient I guess. An efficient player of any game that doesn't have XIV's GCD system has to think faster to play more effectively. XIV's system doesn't make you think anymore than any MMO combat system (If anything it's a safety net for people with slower motor skills.), and trying to fool yourself into thinking so is pretty ..well foolish. How is having to avoid locking yourself out of being able to time your heals correctly a safety net? GCD isn't a safety net, it actually makes everything MORE difficult, not less. I raid healed in WOW Wrath and XIV through Final Coil. In WOW I just had to stand in the right spots and make sure I had strong enough heals to make it, in XIV I had to plan ahead. Raiding in XiV is a joke sir. No competitive raiding community takes XIV raiding seriously. Heroic Raiding in WoW (Now Mythic) is far more difficult than anything this game as thrown at you, and if you really want intense skill based raiding Wildstar had the hardest raiding I've ever encountered. (Another game you can't just stand there and heal.) Just because this game forces more movement than WoW did in WotLK does not make the GCD system make the game harder, it's only because you have to move more. (even then it's laughable to say XIV raiding is harder than WoW heroic (Mythic) modes.) let's try not to get into a debate over which is better. I'm a mythic raider on Wow and i have tried doing coils before in FF14 a few times when it was relevant as a tank. I found that the dungeons are fine but when you get into the 8 man stuff and whatever it tends to get boring a lot. Looks nice though. And only difficulty in wow raiding is getting the actual 20 people needed for mythics. -

DH does look REALLY cool, but the changes to Guardian Druid has me most pumped, no more dodge bear, now I'm a wall of bring it! (really most of the class changes look really good so far.) Guardian Druids? More like...MUTHA FUCKIN ROCK BEAR! -

She was on Wyrmrest Accord. It wouldn't have mattered. I never had a problem on WRA personally, which is why I asked. I've seen some weird shit, though. No. It wasn't Dragonwrath. I had an MRP that talked about the staff in look for more detail and i figured the very big and ornate look of it would serve as a better model for it. Like it had branches on it shaped like Ram Horns, a gourd hanging off, wind chimes and so on. A gift from her master shortly before she left and before the third war started. There is nothing overpowering with the staff and much like how Arala uses the current weapons in her RP (relic weapons + shiny shield) they are merely just looks and the shield (which has been reformed after some RP) was a hand me down from her father. Again i do not reference that they are THE relics and just use them for looks. But i am getting off track. My time on WRA was savage...Some got off easy because well...they didn't play a Night Elf Mage early in Cata. It wasn't until that era that RP started to plummit big time. Even my cousin who got into RP in general because of me (And funny enough plays Halo a lot) can agree that the quality has spiraled down in RP. p.s: This artwork in the spoiler WAS going to be my character at some point but when I got it commissioned i long sinced moved from RP in wow and said to make it as my character in wow now. Yep. Same person who did Arala's artwork. -

The Xpac has also given us the Heirloom Tab to help manage them better, Wowtoken for those who don't want to pay 15$ a month and instead pay with ingame gold, A better catch up mechanic for crafting professions (Well half implemented because professions became so null a few months into WOD but still 1-600 leveling was simplified), Twitter integration (which despite it being meh, I had fun using now and then when something happened or i get a new mount. Feels good for me at least), Timewalking (Which many hate but i rather enjoyed a lot to do) and was the first expansion to give us updated models. Of course those are just 'Updates' and not additions but i like to see the silver lining in most games that i play. But WOD still was a major disappointment. It's why i am super cautious on the beta info for Legion and what not. I still raid and currently on Mythic Gorfiend 66% so i will most likely continue to raid even in next xpac. I'm convinced it won't be long before they integrate Marriage system in WoW. In the mind of Activision they're probably thinking... Should we work on playable content? Spend millions of dollars creating enjoyable PvE/PvP content without turning them into mindless Apexis Grinds? No that takes genuine effort, instead we should spend our resources on the Marriage System. At least the system in FF14 makes more sense considering the amount of customization/vanity content they intended to put in the game. Unless the Marriage system has some sort of benefit for it like it did on some FTP games where it gives active buffs like 5% more crit while married person online then only the RP community would use it...and even then that community is slowly becoming the Minority. The RP circles are strong on maybe 2 of the official servers but they have become so bad after Cata (it's why i migrated here ) If they want to be really smart, they would take the Golden Saucer gambling idea and make it a giant gold sink much like the BMAH. -

Yep...WOD in a nutshell. funny thing... They reintroduced Valor for item upgrades now along with Mythic dungeons having some chance to drop upwards of Ilevel 725 gear (about heroic Hellfire Citadel level loot) but it's not common. Highest Ilevel i got out of them was 720 but even then you don't get valor through raiding. Only LFRs, Weekly quest minus pet battle, Daily heroic and all 8 Mythics. Forcing raiders to do old and outdated content for points. Again i am still having fun but it's not the same as when it was Cata pre Dragonsoul and nerf to Heroic Dungeons or even Mists (BTW i adored mists. Only reason people hated it was the first few months with gear locked behind dailies. I swear to you if they didn't lock the gear behind rep, people wouldn't of berate the game that much. And story was fine and dandy. And i've played since Warcraft 2 released.) Half the time i sit on my moose in Stormwind waiting for ques to pop or friends to come on for anything. -

I tried a vanilla wow private server...and i stopped at level 17 because i was hit with major flashbacks of the 'year long grind' i had to do back in my teen years. It was hell, especially since i was on Daggerspine pvp...No mercy to level 60. Then again this is coming from the guy who blast through FF14's story in favor of reaching max level upon launch (pre-RP moment) and same with Heavensward (went back to read/watch the stuff after i hit 60) Did i mention i hate grinding levels? -

Wow's PVP (well until legion since i hope it helps...) from the very start has been tacked on. Even when they tried to make PVP content you could tell there is literally no content for it compared to PVE. That and Balancing issues. Believe me, I tell anyone interested in wow PVP to go play games that were built around PVP like TF2, Counter strike and even DOTA/HOTS/LOL. Next Xpac is said to remove the need for PVP gear (Ala vanilla wow) since they are remaking the system overall but until beta shows more information, I am still on the fence as a still active player about the PVP. Side Note: FF14's system of PVP actually feels interesting. Hencewhy they did a bit of copying for their system lol. -

It's quite alright. :3 I know some people who just got into the game who are enjoying it as fresh lowbie people even with the little content there is at the time. -
[DISCLAIMER: I merely wish to just talk about this topic with those who play FF14 and do not wish to start any flame war between both games over which is better. This is not a debate. This is about world of warcraft and those who have played/still play. By no means will i side with either game as the better. Thank you] Let's talk about World of Warcraft- *Narrowly misses a Tonberry Plushie being tossed at* HEY! Keep those objects down! I'm just bored and want to talk a bit about a well known (and often hated lately) game that people will most likely rip my throat out for. I'm curious if any of the people here are still playing wow in any way or just feel like taking their relic weapon and smashing the thread over and over until it's deleted. Love or hate it, the game has done plenty of things both good and bad. This is where you can let out your frustration/anger/hate or your love/devotion/joy of the game without bringing in other games for comparison. I'll get things started... I'm waiting to see if legion will be good as they said. So far the data-mining for it is coming along nicely and i'm starting to enjoy how the mage class order hall is going to be. Yet i am still not hyped for it. After the crap that was WOD, i've been very...weary about this Xpac. Blizz dung themselves an even deeper hole than before. So let's hope they don't dig up and cause a cave in on this. As well it's currently on sale to get the game if you are thinking of getting into it or back into the game. I cannot promise you that Legion will be the best Xpac but it shows promise to be better than Warlords of Draenor. --- I wish to extend my hand and share my character with you all in the event you want to find me in wow for some weird reason. Or if you want to do RAF then message me your Email address and i can send you something ingame. 300% EXP booster with free level gains while we level together and summon friend to each other. I'm very helpful and noob friendly as well to those who wish to come on in. I'll even get you a space in the guild for casual level. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/aerie-peak/Yukaria/simple --- And with that out of the way... *Prepares Hallowed Ground* Fire Away.

A small update and heads up. 1: The NPCs involved have their scripts ready and with alternate lines depending on group involvement or questions. 2: There will be a linkshell for the event exclusively that i will invite people to on the day they come to the event. If you did not make it, do not fret. I will do my best to invite you ingame even when there are no events. This Linkshell is only for the events that come. 3: If for any reason you have to drop out or can't make it to an event, I am not going to hold it against you. Life can get in the way and sometimes you feel like your character is not up for it/Is not in the right RP for the whole situation. It's natural and fine. However, if you find something in the RP that offends you or in your eyes somehow bends lore too much for your liking...I'd kindly ask you to either whisper me your distaste and NOT make a scene or say absolutely nothing. As said before there MAY be a bit of a bend but I assure you it is not going to kill you to try it for yourself. Finally: We are doing dice roll system for the fights against NPCs but... Please don't Godmod. When your character hits 0 HP they are not dead. Just fainted. I already prepared a backup after battle event in case (Which should not happen) that will never kill our characters. That said...If you WANT to kill your character at any point during this event (And again it's on you), Mail me on the forums or whisper Arala Makeo ingame when she is on and we can talk about it there. I wanted to make some clarifications. I know there is a long time for this to start what with Holidays and other life stuff getting in the way, but sooner the better instead of later. Thank you! :3 -
Hi. I'm probably the person who is guilty of not replying in some situations...But then again can you blame me for not being at the keyboard. There were a few rare moments where i had to apologize to some people who came up to my characters because i was AFK before the afk chair came on my head and they left. Makes me feel bad for it. Whether i am making food, watching something on another monitor or so on while waiting for an event or once in a while casually emoting something to keep myself active ICly there are those times where i am on the the receiving end of those walk ups Sorry.

P'rita wondered why he was having trouble now instead of herself? Flynt seemed like a guy who was the stereotypical rich boy but to have her of all people make him like this? She didn't know if she should feel good or bad...but needless she cracked a smile and snickered a bit. "It's okay, Flynt. You should calm yourself." P'rita exclaimed as she got out of her chair to walk over to his side. She knelt down and grabbed both hand within her's as she explained to him... "Like my master said. When you put effort into anything, the end result will feel the most satisfying than the easy route. Maybe I can help in a way?" in that moment of holding his hand, she had slipped something into it without even letting him see it at first. It was a small square of blank paper. A perfect square. Thin too. Was it meant to write on? She had stood up from there and looked at the area. Taking note of the dimly lit sky. "You are young, are you not? There is much to learn still. It's never too late to try new things." with a confident smile and a humble gaze she looked to Flynt. Letting him think about the paper she had left him with. "It took me a lot of courage to even ask you to come, show up like this, and not stammer on like a fool. Even if it's as boring as laying on the grass to watch clouds go by i would be happy." She wasn't trying to make him like this. Rather that P'rita wanted to show him that he could still have his life style and her if he put effort into it. Rather than just resort to easy methods. "War cannot end in one night, Love is not gained in a day, Maturity takes time, And hard work will always reward you in the end." P'rita randomly said something before finishing the last of her treat. Truth be told it could be taken as needless and senseless words mashed together to sound intelligent enough to her age, but when has philosophy ever been true? Sometimes it's best to take words with a grain of salt and treat them as they are...words. P'rita on the other hand seemed rather serious in her voice about it. "So. If you can't swim then how about we start the lesson off with me tossing you over the balcony?" her smile was now more deviate and sinister. She would never do it but it was her weird sense of humor. "I'm just joking. So have you thought of an activity? Or should we just talk elsewhere?"
-
P'rita placed an order for a small sponge cake and hearing about his question, it was a new thing. Her own cheeks turned a tad pink at it. Even if he covered his want for her in that way, it still was a little shock. She sat there with the sponge cake, covered in cream and with a few strawberries on it. "Uhh...I was thinking of heading home after...but..." she took her fork to cut into it and eat a piece. "I don't mind doing something rather than nothing." P'rita had no idea how to truly have fun. At least around here. What would she do even then? So far she had kept to herself. To be seen with Flynt...wouldn't other girls try to take him from her? No...she wouldn't allow it on this day. She had to be more determined. "If you have ideas, I would like to have fun..." P'rita admitted it was odd. She found Flynt attractive in his own way, but more like he didn't care for much of her body or age. It made her feel young inside. A feeling she had long since forgotten about since that day...Yet she had to finish the cake first. It was okay. Nothing that really excited her but it did the job for what it was.
-
P'rita did think about the options at hand but his question seemed out of the blue. Followed by his comments. P'rita wondered why he would ask such a thing? Did he take a real interest in the knife? "That knife was gifted to me by another clansmen. He made the pair himself for me after I was an official member of the group. I've used them since then, taking care of it and cleaning it regularly." P'rita began, adjusting the choker on her neck as she tried to talk more. Hoping that Flynt wasn't just brushing it off. "He was a great guy. Whenever master was not home, he would take control and do fun things with us. Gather rice, play with the children at the schools..." and it seemed her idea of fun was more or less work to most. P'rita took out the second pair to show how similar they were in design but that one had very subtle spots along the blade. Almost like blood stains. "The only gift that survived the invasion. They are always with me until the day I die." her care for knives was a tad weird. P'rita always held her memories so close and to share even small information with Flynt was rare. So rare that he is the only one thus far who has heard any of this. "Are you that fond of the forge work?"
-
P'rth looked at the money and listened to the man's word. While yes he looked like any normal waiter say for the slight glimpse of prosthetic limbs, he was being as covert as possible. "Seems like he isn't going to give up on her then." he thought. "If her name is not what it is, then maybe there is a reason behind hiding it." He wasn't about to take any random money. Especially his. Even the information was quickly washed off. "It's said some information cannot be bought with money. Your best bet is to keep at it and try your hardest to dig..." and looking up to P'rita still there he added. "You can start by asking about that wonderful knife she gave you. I've never seen something that sharp before. I'll let it slide this time, but next time someone sees a weapon at dinner there would be some consequences." P'rth hoped he played his part right. The least suspicious he was the less likely P'rita would easily pick him out. He walked off after placing the water on the table for P'rita when she returned. She eased herself down in the chair and took a sip of the water. "...Sorry about that. Had to clear my mind. Any special treats they offer here?" her eyes wandering to look for the chalkboard with written specials they had for today and only today. Looking for anything that caught her eyes. While chocolate wasn't something she enjoyed a lot, there was another treat she did but it was not here. "Any recommendations?" P'rita smiled with some excitement. Her meal in itself was a great experience and with Flynt it made it better. Oh how she felt more than enough confidence from earlier. Almost like this little date helped open her up more. Her eyes not bothering with how others looked and seemed to look to Flynt...but still at times she couldn't help but imagine him with other women at his age. It stung at her heart from time to time. She was use to such pain by now. Even if this was the only time, P'rita was more than happy to have this event.
-
And as she thought he wouldn't take it as a game. Yet that seemed to make P'rita smile inside. Sometimes fooling around was not the smartest move. Yet this game was one thing she was determined to push. "I can cook wonderful dishes of my homeland and make a great breakfast. I'm a good sparring partner and not going to cry after taking one punch. My ears will be always lent to listen to you. And as you saw before, I am fairly flexible. Maybe that can give you a few ideas of your own?" she smirked. P'rita was not going to let this game go. It gave her some confidence that she really could use now to even sit here with her shoulders exposed in public. But in truth what she could offer is her company at any time...but what good is that when he can have whomever he wants at his side. "Don't have to accept it. Think about that little choice." P'rita was more than happy to drop it if he wanted, but there had to be some fun in her life. She had to take a moment to think. "I'll be back. I need some air." and without letting him say otherwise she got up and walked a little distance to look out over the ocean to think for a moment...and how she really just wanted to be that only one in an impossible situation. "Everything okay, sir?" P'rth asked, knowing full well that Flynt had no idea who he was. This could give him the chance to talk a bit. "That woman seems pretty strong for all those scars on her. She must of been though gods know what. But i think you would fair best with a girl with fairer skin."
-
From that comment of wanting her still...a smirk crossed her face. Her eyes beaming at Flynt as she issued a challenge. "If you can find out what my real name is...consider me yours." She would hold her promise. Yet there was nothing left of her old life or name. All information even remotely close to her resided in her homeland and her master. Yet it wasn't impossible. "But if that is too hard for you I could always reduce the challenge. I think it would be fun, no? See how determined you are." she wanted to have fun with Flynt in a way. She took his word and tried cracking it open, seeing the edible meat and part of the internal organs. She tried her best to not even look at it as she dug out the tail meat to eat. But as he was cutting into his steak she could see how it cut in. To the untrained eye it seemed like any knife but to her it felt like a dull blade attempting to cut through a dummy, only to have it take multiple swings. It was a pet peeve to see any cutting tool not be precise and perfect in a way. So she took one of her knives from the small bag and handed it to Flynt. She didn't bother to look at him, feeling too embarrassed to offer. "Use my knife. I can't stand seeing a rocking motion with blades..." Her dagger was a one sided blade. The blade shined brighter than the other parts and the handle made from a sturdy kind of wood. Polished and maintained to prevent rust and wear. On the end of the handle was a small symbol of a half moon with claw marks through it. Her old clan's mark. Unlike the knives she threw, these were her weapons...and she brought her weapons to dinner. On her second, she caught wind of the so called butter sauce. She didn't want to ask Flynt, wanting him to enjoy his meal. So she tried it and yet it tasted different with the sauce. The faintest meow of enjoyment came from her mouth. "...What is this golden delight? It makes the meat taste so much better...So creamy and...lemon in it?" her eyes almost sparkling like Emeralds at this new discovery for her mouth. In fact, taking another bite from another tail was even better. "Nya..." her words slipping out louder. Some would find this weird or awkward out of context of her situation.
