pretty much this. However I wanted to run this by with public eye because i know there are plenty who have had Voidsent RPers or anything relating to the Void evil peeps in the past. As such this was the best chance to let out people's opinions on Voidsent RPers in a non-intentional way as well :3 But yeah what i could of done with this story i can do with another type of aspect I still will be working on. I know not everyone will agree but because this community is the best RPing community i have met, I felt like voicing this idea i had and hopefully see what kind of negativity i would get. shockingly...The negativity was not so much "UGGH FUCK U!" but civilized and respectful in their displease with anyone doing Void things in public. I myself don't approve of people claiming to be even Half voidsent in some regard since that REALLY spells 'OOO so edgy' in my book. Rather I appreciate those who do it well and either hide it. Early experience with a voidsent event was kind of iffy for me and a few others. Then again someone saying "I'm sick of Voidsent related stuff" obviously has no idea that they are considered an actual uncommon threat. I think they meant "I'm sick of people RPing Voidsent stuff" which is ok. Fun fact: It was a spur of the moment idea i had since realizing how similar Quint was to Patchouli.

no need to apologize. If i didn't want to hear people's open opinion on voidsent RP in general (And honestly I wanted to knowing how bland and bad or just irksome it is) i would not of asked the community at all about the idea. You are perfectly okay to put your opinion and i welcome any and all viewpoints people have even if majority say no. That's the power of a good community IMHO is to collaborate with each other and ask for help. :3

Again i already said i was not going to do it. I'm working on the new idea for the time. I can do it without but i merely wanted to share with you what the idea was before i decided to just toss it away. that's the only reason for sharing.

After seeing how more are stepping on the hate of Voidsent RP...I'll leave the rough idea in full here for people to see what i had in store. --- Her name is [Placeholder: Koa] and she is a young Hyur teenage girl with blonde hair and dark blue eyes, near bordering purple. An accident occurred with [insert possible lore abiding way] and slowly overtime, she was changing. Yet unlike most who would brush it off, she already saw telltale signs of her change and tried to kill herself via hopping off the side of the goblet. Quint on the other hand was just passing by when she saw this Hyur trying to commit suicide and promptly saved her...not realizing at the moment she was infected. When the girl flat out told her and asked Quint to kill her (explained more detail about love for parents), Quint refused and instead took her into her home where she started to do some research with her tomes. A week would pass and the young girl was already changing more. Wings were forming and her eyes turned a dark purple shade. Yet at that moment, Quint would find a method to suppress her growth [Explanation in detail] and with the device, her growth and alteration into a voidsent is halted...however she still seeks a need for Aether but not in the large quantities...yet. Quint would name the girl Koa and gave her a new task. To be her aid in research and organization while also being a test subject to see if it's possible to revert someone back from turning into a Voidsent [spoiler: It never can happen] ---- As you see, it's a Really rough idea i put on a notepad and of course i was working on it for a bit. The idea is that there would be some way to slow the process of changing down enough to do some tests but eventually she would convert and be a worse threat. This would of possibly brought upon some questionable accusations towards quint Like how she is acting like her master in some regard or just being secretly a voidsent despite the truth. As some notes were very early, I was working on what some of the details would be on how she suppressed her growth into a daemon and her method of eating 'aether' without really destroying much of the environment (Ala: Quint refining Elemental Clusters)

Balmung's population is so high probably because of the community and being a legacy server, a lot of the 1.0 players are adding into it. There are two things Se can do now... 1: Expand server cap. While i have no idea how they work their systems, they could potentially find some way to add more capacity by next Xpac if possible with how popular FF14 is. Yet that would also mean MORE people will be able to join Balmung and possibly cap the player count again. 2: Disable Character transfer to Balmung for good: It pains me to offer this idea but really...Transferring is hurting the population further to the point where we may never see access to make new toons on the server. I am probably of the rare kind that plays more than one physical character (5 in total not counting NPCs and including those with little bios) and i've transferred as many as i could for the time. But till they fix the problem of population control they should either shut down character transfer for Balmung or all together. While i am happy to see more homes (And hopefully no more people grabbing them and reselling them...) and the population grow, it worries me for others who may stumble upon our community who want to RP...but find out they have no way of entering because it's jam packed worse than Moonguard's Goldshire. I think they have the cash to try and expand the cap of player servers by this point. It goes for all legacy servers too.

I want to reserve one, no two! I need this style for Arala and Quint:D

I know the lore. I had a whole more detailed backstory but it's not a big deal anymore. I already got rid of it as unlike most RPers where i just go with it and people assume i am a horrible RPer because they found out of said thing...I want people's opinions on a topic that is generally oversaturated in this realm. Hell, Quint is a freaking DOLL! A Giant Mammet of Flesh held together by a modified sprite Core for a brain and Aether flowering and circulating through her artifical veins like blood just to keep her body moving and what not. That alone should of raised flags but as it turned out, the more i RPed with her, the more people started to actually enjoy and love her RP, even those not of my close circle. So i know how to play the hiding game until it's more public but the idea was indeed to keep her safe purely because Quint didn't want to let anyone kill her or in the original idea, her kill herself because of such reasons. But yet again, seeing the feedback and reaction has painted the picture clear for me and I will not even touch the idea ever again (Having done Voidsent RPs in the past and what not myself with other characters but they too going too edgy) TL : DR: I wanted to have an INNOCENT Voidsent-tainted person that felt guilty about absorbing aether and nearly killed herself had Quint not tried to find alternate means. And reactions speak louder, So i have since trashed it for good and will find the alternatives in suggestions. Thank you for feedback everyone.

thanks for more info. I always hate doing things without asking the 'populace' in the event SOMEONE came over. So don't worry I already tossed the idea away :3

So...An idea came to my mind that also made me smile internally but in reality the idea of itself MAY make some people either uneasy or take that i am breaking lore too much already (Considering what i am already playing is sort of bending lore as is) This of course is going to probably bite me in the ass but because it is not fully implemented or mentioned yet in my RP... I was thinking of having a helper for Quint in the form of a young girl that has some voidsent like trait about her internally (nothing too externally) but it's weak enough to manage and prevent from growing. The amount i speak of range from "Really? Doesn't look like it to me." to maybe tiny bat wings on her backside but only noticeable from behind rather than the front. So she's more or less like a child. The young girl in question already had an idea for it's backstory in which Quint stopped her from doing something stupid. (details only if it takes off of course) I ask of this from the community to help me with this because if this idea is indeed too much to affect others for her to bring up in a casual meeting or group of friends then I will not do it. Also please be civil as there is not even a chip on the tablet towards setting it in stone. I leave it open to discuss and talk about. Reason why I don't want to do a normal Huyr girl: Quint is 100% not capable of raising a child on her own. Best for a mortal would be from a third party's family on that one.

I am 99.99% sure that creating a character on Balmung has been removed from the game for good at this point (Unless they somehow expand the 'population' of servers which isn't likely) and the only method is through transfering. so on top of the purchase of the game plus monthly fee, you need to pay like $14 US extra to get into the super exclusive RP community.... now that i think about it...Balmung should not be considered a legacy server anymore but a 'Premium' server lol

Or to be more exact... Your characters as if they were apart of any traditional RPG with turn based battles. Mind you this is purely for fun and does not need to be 100% to your character at the time. The format is in the spoiler and hopefully we can get some cool characters. I wanna see how you treat your characters :3. Will they be secret characters? Story characters? [sorry if this is not the right location, I didn't see any good forum thread to post an absence] Alright so as some people who know me in game or here may figure out by now, FF14 is a game i hardly do PVE in. But earlier today, I saw and was told by some pals that World of Warcraft: Legion will be dropping on August 30th. It is months away but I wish to spread this word out in the event someone was looking for any of the characters I RP as. That means the Pre-patch will be around possible May or June in which during that time my RP time on FF14 will be reduced a little more than it is now. So I will be taking a break from RP on ff14 for about...three weeks maximum from August 30th onward. So I will not be able to help with the Grindstone/Attend and anyone else who has events planned among my friends have been notified as well thus far. Do note that once the first month of the expansion has calmed down and I worked out my schedule around it, i will see to it that I can continue healing on Quint at the grindstone when possible. So stay beautiful and as always, I can't wait to see what new content will be added in my possible absence. - Parth Makeo P.S: For those unfamiliar with why I am announcing this early like this...Well there's a lot of work to be done now before the deadline. Best to get it out now. >>DO NOT DISCUSS ABOUT THE GAMES IN THIS THREAD! THIS IS AN 'ABSENCE BY OTHER PRIORITY' THREAD! <<

Like my first post says. There's no real reason to compare the two like how they do in the video. Both games are good and bad in their own right. Preference is a key thing. I'd rather much see a FF11 Vs FF14 video honestly. Would make more sense. Now comes long post I am hiding behind spoiler to those who do not want to hear my senseless rants.

....oh boy this topic again. They are different because of how the games are designed. They are different because one is made in Japan and one is made in America. They are different and should not be compared Imho: I still play both. I play WoW for raiding (bearing 11 years here) and enjoy ff14 for the rp. Both games are good. One is no better than the other. Yes I know right now WoW is in their shittirst expansion. A better comparison is... Ff11 vs Ff14 Or WoW to (insert mmo that has near identical traits of wow's ui/combat/skills/gameplay) You should never compare apples and oranges. Compare granny Smith apples to Macintosh.

discussion Do You Plan to Kill Off Your Character?
Parth Makeo replied to Virella's topic in RP Discussion
I had a list of characters to die .... But all my RP pals find some method to save them! P'rita was suppose to die twice, Arala "was" planned on dying at the end of her story against Xyla, P'rth was suppose to die five times, Even Quint and Cobalon were suppose to die at some point. I know that's nearly all my toons but...the amount of people saving characters prompt me to begin killing them off yet only for my pals to find the method to save them that I never hint at. Now it's become a game within a game to see if they can find the method to save a character and I love it :3 -
Ok i know this is a warcraft machinama and all but come on. Some of these points make me laugh :3 So let me hear how you think about it? A5awzwQBSv0

PSA: Join the Nintendo Fun Club Today!
Parth Makeo replied to Warren Castille's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
I thank you warren. Now i downloaded Mitomo just for the hell of it -
The Hyur behind his friend got his attention to tell him in a low voice the approaching two. "That's Warren...He runs that Grindstone competition. But that girl...That's THE Steel Wolf! I think we should go..." But the Roe cared not a single moment about who they were. "I dun't care who they are. They are protecting a witch!" he raised Quint in the air. By now she had no real fear. "I can prove it too. I've seen her arm break off like a twig and just placed back on without even feeling pain!" his claims were just as insane but only a handful were looking to side with him. Mainly out of curiosity if he was being truthful. "Sir. Right now, you have the choice to leave this establishment with all your teeth intact. Your choice at this moment can and will change your future from here on out. Will you heed their call and put me down or will you continue with your insane claims, look like a fool and possibly be harmed for your antics in this guild?" Quint spoke out just as he looked around. "You're protecting a witch. All of you..." he was lowering his arm down but seemed to refuse to let go. "Why would you?" he was far more calm but more turned off by the group in his eyes. Cobalon then sealed his fright when he spoke up to him. "...One of us..." only cementing his overall fear by placing Quint down gently and looking to Warren, Wolf and even L'yhta. "Y-you guys are freaks!" avoiding another conflict as Quint inspect her neckline. Noticing a little gash in her neck. "Huh...A hidden blade." despite the odd and half cut neck, she wiggled around before placing it firmly down on her neck and sealing it with a crystal. "...Sorry you two had to come over."
-
Xyla nodded to her question. "If you want to call it as such, yes. It's not always the same results and minor changes do affect. You might get the same end result but something else can happen." Xyla took her time to enjoy the drink when she noticed Cobalon standing up and seeing the Hyur from before come back with a friend. A Hellsguard Roegadyn to be exact. One with armor fit to be a Murader of sorts as he suddenly picked Quint up by her collar from her chair. "You messin' with my friends?" he glared into Quint's lifeless eyes as the Hyur from before added on. "She is. Threatened to burn us to ash she did! Like a witch!" shouting to try and get people to notice. "Issat right? Well now. Better apologize before I make an example of you!" Quint however kept calm. "I said no such thing. Your friend insisted that he had a vision he would like read but as far as I knew it was made up to make me out to be a fraud. I then showed him the future of what would happen if he kept bugging us and whatever he saw was on his vision. They are not always one hundred percent and-" "Shut it, Witch!" The Roe was clearly trying his best to hold back his need to rip her arm off. Cobalon was also calm as well. The Roe then looked to L'yhta. "Don't try anything funny." holding and shaking Quint up. As if trying to scare what seemed unshaken by hallowed threats.
-
"Well if it's a curiosity, then look no further than Quint here! She's a lifesize doll." Cobalon paraded that notion as a stone faced Quint looked up to L'yhta. Not confused but rather unphased by it all...Or was she? It was hard to tell at times from her monotone voice and stagnate face. "Cobalon, I'd rather of saved that information for later. She is clearly asking about the Future Sight." and with a turn of her glass, she told L'yhta. "The reason my readings have been more than accurate for many is due to how the future is lined for us. No one person can know what will happen and the ability to look into the future is nothing more than a myth. The future is constantly changing based on the choices of many or even a single person. Only the past is set in stone." As she spoke, Cobalon dug out a piece of paper and a pen for Quint to draw while she kept explaining. She drew a single circle with the word 'Current' and then branching three lines out to the right at three angles, labeling them '1', '2' and '3' in order. Following with three smaller circles connected and branching two of them off with two more lines with one circle having three and so on in a repeated formula until the other end of the page had more then fifteen lines jetting around. "This is the basic idea of what I deduct to create the future sight. Current is right at this moment, and those numbers are your options you picked. At Current, i can see ahead of your options before you make them, possibly changing the future or just delaying the inevitable." she drew a curved line over each one with two indents in the center of them. "The portals I make can only be conjured when the conditions meet. You seek the conclusion for a path you plan to take, it is not beyond six Moons and it has not already happened. If any of these three are not met or you flat out lie, I am unable to even open the gap..." (pardon arrow errors ) Cobalon let his tail sway as he watched and listened. "Even when she does, Quint is unable to see the vision. It's only for the person who has their hand in the gap. But rarely some events overlap with other people and some of your choices may affect others around you as well." "Correct. Although I've never seen another attempt this...Mostly due to the amount of Aether you need to have....but I don't mind teaching this to another." this caught Cobalon's ears. "Hold it Quint. You can't just offer to teach someone this ability. Remember when I taught you how to Siphon and Transfer? It took you quite a while." he looked to L'yhta with concern. Praying that this would not turn out for the worse.
-
Moving to the table, Quint calmly took her seat as Cobalon hopped up to meet them eye to eye. The thought of drinks passed through their minds. "I'll have a bottle of Ether!" Cobalon claimed. "...I'll take juice with a mix of Ether potion please." Quint added on. While it seemed odd, they usually were ordering these things. Momodi was on point so far with the strange mixtures by this point as they were the only ones that buy them. With that in order, Cobalon did the introductions as he usually would. "It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Cobalon. And this little girl is Quint. Though you might of heard her name somewhere today. But as for me...It's kind of complicated." as always his voice was prominent despite the aetherial look. Quint had to answer her question though. As deadpan as her expression was most of the time. "Cobalon here was trapped in a tome that he is bound to. I found him in the waterways when I got lost. He has claimed to of been around for...A few Eras." Quint didn't dare bring up that he was possibly the survivor of a massive war of magic. Instead making it vague. "Hard to believe that I was at once a mortal...but one wrong run in with a witch made me into this little critter...not to say I hate this form. It definitely gives me an advantage when I need to look under skirts. Plus I am irresistible and fluffy." Cobalon chuckled, noticing the drinks arriving. He had to let his drink lay sideways to lap at it. Quint's drink on the other hand was discolored to indicate the mixture of an Ether potion with fruit were not always a good idea. "As for the Future Sight, it's not like an Astrologist's method by any means." she sat her glass down and placed two colored candies. One red and one blue. She picked the red one up as she continued "Here we have two candies. One red and one blue. I just picked up the red one...but at the same time I also picked the blue one in another timeline. However, now the fate of said candies come into question..." Cobalon watched, always delighted with how she explained things. "It's just a theory but every small action creates another timeline. So will the red candy be fated to be consumed..." she gently eased it back down and picked the blue one up. "Or will it be spared in exchange for the blue one?" and she popped the rock candy into her mouth.... "Blueberry..." Cobalon meanwhile tried to condense what she said. "To put it in a layman's term, she does not foresee fate so much as she can see what CAN happen. A What If scenario if you will. Even i am a tad confused too."
-
Quint felt as if someone invited her to talk about her method of telling the future...but on one part she feared it may be a little hard to explain. Especially considering where she came from. Yet she continued as planned. Even Cobalon would return to her side to ease the crowd down. When it was all over, Quint took a silent sigh and eased her body. The crystals she had returned to her bag as instructed by her before getting up and walking over to the woman who talked to her earlier. Quint figured it was okay to talk about it with another...though if she could fully comprehend the idea of future sight is another question. "You wanted to talk about seeing beyond normal sight, yes?" Quint asked L'yhta politely. The way she dressed and how her hair looked could be considered doll like in it's own world despite showing no joints. Her eyes with a closer inspection were made out of a plentiful layer of glass and materials to produce such real looking eyes. Even her scales were different, having a texture compared to Dish wear as oppose to real scales. And yet the Aether inside her was so small that it was a literal candle to any mortal. Cobalon also seemed odd. No not because he could speak, but because any person highly attuned with Aether could detect that only most of his body was Aether...and that there was some actual solid form to the Carbuncle. Of course he would add into the conversasion. "Perhaps we should find a table and chairs? Standing around can be tiring on it's own."
-
The small group didn't seem really content with leaving. At least not until they felt like Quint knew her supposed place. But she had enough as a portal appeared. "There. Stick your hand in and see what happens exactly to you upon your request." how exactly she did that seemed rather...weird. Yet the Hyur looked rather nervous. He looked back at L'yhta then his companions as they motioned for him to go with it...And sure enough he stuck his hand in. The vision surging through him and before Quint could even tell him to pull out, he screamed in complete fright as his hand was removed. He tumbled over the chair, possibly bruising something while shaking in terror. "W-what in the seven hells-" "That is a vision I opened up while you were mindlessly fighting with someone else. The choice you had before you were to either continue your blatant attempts at making me look bad and end up as what you possibly saw, or you left without problems..." Quint spoke, taking the time to absorb an Elemental Cluster to mend any wounds on her that appeared. "Now tell me...What is it that you saw?" she asked.... "I-i saw...That Miqo'te...Freezing myself...and my companions...then...then..." he couldn't finish as he bolted out. The other companions with him didn't follow or chase but rather leisurely strolled out without causing more of a fuss. Quint sighed, adjusted her glasses and looked to L'yhta. "I am sorry you got dragged into this. It was not my intention to show any wrongdoing in my method." apologizing for the fuss as the audience around her looked to of started the supposed line up again. The crystals returned to the table. Yet Quint flinched once more, forcing her hand on her face before bringing it back up. "...Those men really made me fight to find what they wanted..."
-
With the assurance of others handling it, Cobalon sighed and hopped on a seat near Warren. Mostly to watch the event unfold. In his current state there was nothing he could do other than talk it out...which he would of failed with these people. The men looked to the women with agitation. "Why should we believe this? I speak of truth about this girl i'm asking out. Yet SHE thinks I am a liar!" his supposed companions backed him up on it with assurance. The man turned to Kali with a finger raised. "Moreover...How are we sure that you didn't stage this with her to begin with? Who's to say you are nothing but an actor in all this?" then he turned to the other telling them to get a drink. "And you! How can you sit idle when this mockery of a show seems nothing more than an act to make it look like she can see the future?! This woman is a fraud and I intend to bring it to light!" Quint thought for a moment. Her mind circulating with ideas on what she could do and what she couldn't. Processing information was her method of thinking as she then looked to the other Miqo'te woman with the glowing weapon. "Then...allow her to ask me of a choice in the future for her? I have never seen this woman before and would gladly demonstrate it." The man looked to his friends, confused and unsure. He sighed and stood up. "Fine. But we want ALL the juicy information. Every detail of what she saw." they stared at the threatening Miqo'te, waiting to see if she would take this offer. Cobalon merely smiled at all that. Feeling more relaxed than before. "Perhaps you should get a future sight as well? Maybe predict a possible outcome on the winner of the next Grindstone and get an advantage of betting?" Cobalon chuckled as he joked on to the idea. But he decided to enlightened Warren on it. "What Quint is doing is a complex algorithm of spell weaving. She is basically examining the Aether makeup of a being with the possible choices they make in the future and show them a brief glimpse of what can and may happen...but it is never always perfect. Like fortune telling, she is reading your very energy. Unlike such a thing, she does not guess or predict. For the future can never be set in stone. Only the past can..." The more he talked, the older Cobalon started to sound and feel. "You get what i mean, no? The future can and will change. It all depends on our actions and choices, no matter how small and inconsequential they might seem."
-
More and more would pass on by. Some asking for simple choices while others were a bit more complex. Each time they were more than amazed at the reading. The assurance of possibility did make them question their actions more than usual...but one group of men saw this differently. They spoke quietly but perhaps someone could catch their antics. "I'm going to show the people that she is a fraud..." "Alright, next up. And which of you will be taking the reading?" Cobalon said as the Hyur with brown hair sat at the table while looking at Quint. The other four behind him waited in anticipation. "I'll take that reading. Names John Amhar. I'm thinking about asking this girl to this great bar. Think your little portal could tell me what happens if I ask her out?" he smirked as Quint prepared the crystals. They swirled and twisted until they were in formation....and a portal did not appear. "I'm sorry mister John, but what you speak about never will or is happening at all in the near future. You speak of a lie." which at first stunned the group. But with a save he pressed on. "Well obviously you are not trying hard enough. I am looking to ask this girl out and I want to know what happens if I do it." Quint tried once more, her body flinching as the portal refused to open. "Again...I cannot open the portal. Your current choice in this realm does not exist within the limits of time itself. I kindly ask-" at that point the man stood up and tried his best to make her look like a fraud. "I KNEW IT! You don't see into the future! You just make light shows in people's heads!" this clearly got Cobalon's Attention as he tried to look for some familiar aid...and yet finding Warren relaxing and watching. He approached the man with worry. "Warren...I need an idea to deal with these men. They might be pushing her to the limit." Cobalon knew at the most that Warren already had his share of trouble and having him butt in would make things look bad for the Grindstone. Quint tried a third time but failed once more. Small cracks formed on her face. "Huh? No portal still? come on! It's simple! Just show me a vision of what happens when I ask this pretty girl tonight to go with me to a bar! Is it that hard!?" the other four were backing his antic up. Quint tried again, but the crystals were shaking a little in the formation. "I-i'm trying...but...you are lying-" "I AM NOT LYING! Quit stallin' and tell me if I see her naked from asking her out!" The heavy demands on Quint were more than she could handle for the time. She wasn't one to fight back and in her current position, she had to prove to them that she could. "P-please sir...Ask for something else..."
